I’ve been using Fuji cameras since the X-T1. I currently have the X-T2 and the X-T3 and I actively use them both. But I am getting an X-T200 because I am so tired of x-trans. Often when I’m editing my photos and I’m zooming in to check that stuff is in focus, how much (if any) noice reduction I need, and whether or not there are hot pixels that I need to take care of, I get bummed out by the ugly artifacts and the low color resolution/accuracy from the x-trans filter. I already have an X-T100 and I LOVE how the files from that camera look! They are so much nicer! But that camera is so slow. I’m hoping that the X-T200 is faster and over all is a good camera to work with. If it is, I might replace my X-T2 and 3 with it. I really REALLY hope future top of the line Fuji cameras have a bayer filter instead. Or that they make an X-T300 with a bayer filter AND 2 memory card slots. The lack of 2 card slots is my biggest concern with the X-T200.

Hello, I want to make that jump from my iphone X to a camera, I’m a beginner, I was interested in the xt30 but unfortunately I can't afford it, (thinking about the lens are so expensive too but I prefer to invest more in them) So the second one I’m interested is the xt20, but now I’m watching the xt200!! I find it annoying when companies release a newer version less than two years after releasing the previous model with improvements that could’ve easily been incorporated into the XT100. But they deliberately don’t because, after spending 550 on the XT100, they want you to fork out another 550 on the new model.
9:05 I would prefer to have the bayer type filter anyway (on my X-T30). Smaller files, quicker to load in Lightroom and also much more compatible with Lightroom (no watercolor look in fine details in certain areas if you look closely). I had the original X100 which had the bayer filter instead of x-trans and it was great...so I don't know why Fuji is so stuck on x-trans. It just makes life slightly more difficult for editing raw files. Yes, I know Capture One Pro handles the x-trans raw files better, but I've been using LR for years and all my edits are in LR, so there's no way I'm going to dump all that experience and lose many of my tweaks just to have slightly better performance for just one camera brand (I don't just own Fuji). Anyway...I wish they would dump the x-trans and switch to bayer like their GFX models and the lower end models.
aceflibble yes, I’ve used the enhance details option in the past to try it but for me the files are much too large after that (for the small benefit I get) and on my somewhat aging PC it takes too long. Even if it was fast I probably wouldn’t do it because of the file size. I’m ok with the raw files as is but I’d still prefer they switch away from x-trans

Congratulations! As for the camera, if it has autofocus for the 1080p@120fps and if it can be charged via USB while using it, I will most probably be switching over to Fuji from Canon. I'm interested to know about the Digital Gimbal as well.

Since then I am looking for B camera, something better than my cellphone but much smaller than my DSLR (Nikon D7500) and this is a bit over the budget but maybe the T100 is better for me. What are your coments Canon M6II vs T200??? Can you add acros in post? I feel one of the reasons to use Fuji is the film sims. I love this camera because of the flip forward screen.. just wish it had a few more features , xtrans, film Sims etc
Yes, through Capture One, they do have the Fuji profiles. But, the appeal of it in-camera is being able to expose and capture to the film simulation IMO. But, it is possible to adjust your images to the same look afterward.

Can you use back button focus on this? That is one of the worst things about x-t100, you have a button there but cant program that to function as focus. It's dedicated Q, which you might just as well have where the Fn button is imho.
We heard back from Fuji. They confirmed that there is no AF-On option (back button focus) on the X-T200 or X-A7. These features can be found on the more premium models like the X-T30 / X-T3.
Would anyone prefer the Sony a7 II or Sony a7 III over this? I'm thinking about buying the a7 II but, I'm not sure if this would be better. I'm looking to take sharp and high quality pictures with nice color straight from the camera.
Good question, Both the X-T200 and the Sony A7's are capable of producing sharp high quality images. Going full frame is nice however I prefer the Fuji jpeg files straight out of camera.

TheCameraStoreTV what about the joystick placement? Looks really far down the back but is it okay to use? Power button is different than I've seen, looks recessed. Could you hit it with gloves on? How about the dials, particularly around the shutter? Feel okay?
@@seantomlinson3320 There is not a ton of space on the back, so I think it's in the best spot they could place it (with the new thumb rest) It's fine for quick focus point selection and I prefer it over a d-pad. The power button is slightly elevated (not recessed) I just tested it with my gloves and it works fine. The dials are knurled and firm to turn which I like so that you don't accidentally move them when you don't want to.

I wish there was a rangefinder style version of the XT200 similar to XE3 is to XT-30. I guess the X-A7 is basically the XT200 ... without a EVF.

Do you need to flip out the screen to rotate it horizontally or its still like the old superior mechanism of xt100?
No it is a classic fully articulating screen now.
can you also use the screen when focusing like fuji x-a7? and what will you recommend to buy fuji x-t200 or x-a7? Thank you!

It depends which lens you put on it. There are tons of options. The kit lens that you can get in a bundle is a 15-45mm lens.

The joystick is nice to have. It was on the X-A7 too. What do you think is weird about the power button?
TheCameraStoreTV what about the joystick placement? Looks really far down the back but is it okay to use? Power button is different than I've seen, looks recessed. Could you hit it with gloves on? How about the dials, particularly around the shutter? Feel okay?
@@seantomlinson3320 There is not a ton of space on the back, so I think it's in the best spot they could place it (with the new thumb rest) It's fine for quick focus point selection and I prefer it over a d-pad. The power button is slightly elevated (not recessed) I just tested it with my gloves and it works fine. The dials are knurled and firm to turn which I like so that you don't accidentally move them when you don't want to.
