Great video! I have an issue where I can't activate the abs pump with the scanner and am getting C0110-61 and C0110-00 for pump motor circuit issue. Got a used one and plugged the harness in (without install) to see and still cannot get the pump to go on with scanner. Before taking the pump out I figured I'd test the new "used" one. I tested my ground for ohms at the connector and its less that 1. I also tested B+ at the connector and get 3V. Wondering if I should install this used one or if I have an electrical issue. Car has over 200K original abs pump.
You might have and electrical issue wire might b cut ..u should b able to activate the pump unless u got a module that's no good...what voltage did you get from the original module
I tested the wire harness connector and got 3V. I ohm tested ground on the wire harness connector and it was less than 1. I’m thinking to put the module in and see. Do you think I can activate the module even when not installed only connected to the wire harness connector? Because I tried that and could not activate the new “used” pump with the scan tool. Came back the same that a malfunction pump or valve issue.
@alexautoparts you should get a code cause the Vin don't match..thats it. But it should still function..you should be able to command it to turn on and off from the scan tool

The Electronic Brake Control Module has this fault: Lost Communication with Engine Control Module - Invalid Data U0100 071. The Engine Control Module has these faults: P0016-00(Crankshaft Position - Intake Camshaft Position Not Plausible), P0017-00 (Crankshaft Position - Exhaust Camshaft Position Not Plausible ), and P0697 (5 Volt Reference 3 Circuit). Do you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this discrepancies? These faults are from a 2010 Chevy Equinox 2.4L... Thank you.
I'm in the process of replacing my ECM because 4 other modules aren't communicating with the ECM. I figured I can't have 5 separate module failures. This part the electronic brake control module is showing 5 faults of not communicating with other modules. Dash says service stabikitrak and power steering messages. ECM has 1 fault, BCM big winner has 9 faults, ABS module 1 fault and power steering module 5 faults. My ABS light is not on so do think the ECM is to blame or this part?
Well the abs module can set all of those off believe it or not.. if you got a decent scan tool you can send commands to the abs module and see if it activates.... from their you will need to che k wiring for shorts then move to the ecm and check that

Also I'm losing communication and got 5 engine codes then I checked the next day and all gone! They were ignition coil failures, accelerator pedal position failure, brake pedal switch failure, lean condition in bank 1. Ghost codes I called them.
@Scott if you get a used abs module you don't need to program it..it won't let you do it.. GM only allow you to program new abs modules..so a used 1 is just plug and play ..

Problem I have is I've been waiting for one from the dealership for 9 months. I live in the West Palm Beach, Florida area, and nobody I know will install one, even if it's a gm part. Does anyone near me know someone who will do it? After parts are now available in the auto parts stores. I'm 84 years old and can't do it myself.
Go get you a used module fro. The junk yard and install it...no programming required... that part from the dealership is on back order and is about to be discontinued... go to a independent shop to have it installed and bleed

Well I put it in and same issue. Probably something else going on, same code C0110 and now have a B3902, probably because it’s not recognized.

Replace it...if u get a new 1 you will need it program...if u get used 1 then it's plug and play
Replace the ebcm
Poo16 and p0017 replace the cam and crank shaft solenoids .. 1 is intake and the other is exhaust..
P0697 most likely b the throttle body..might need cleaning if cleaning don't work then replace it

So try get 1 from a junk yard and make sure it dont have no extra features that yours don't hAve
@Scott it won't set no codes.... if you don't have a scan to to clear the old codes disconnect the battery for 10 mins...do you have a scan tool?

Yes it do..if it's used it's just plug and play because you cannot reprogram a used module....if it's new it will need to be programed
Why can’t you just remove the module by itself? T20 screws save the trouble

Depends on the version you have ..and you can only program a new module..gm won't let you program a used module since a Vin is embedded with it

If it's new yes..if it's used then no ..gm won't allow you to reprogram a used module.. for security purposes..

That's a diffrent problem ..the module had nothing to do with the power steering
Check for leaking hose...... power steering g pump or rack and pinion

So if you disconnect the lines you will need to bleed the module and all 4 wheels

look up your local LKQ dealer they have them all over picked one up for $154 with warranty used
