OK, I got one minute 30 seconds into your video. You’re amazing wow thank you for sharing. I don’t think I’m up for this with my 12th grade. Education but thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your explanation of the troubleshooting of the ABS module. As I have knowledge in Electronics, Soldering, and Components this is very informative for me. If we are performing home repair on any electrically controlled device, YT is a great source for finding schematics, components, that allow us to check many things before we have to purchase a completely new part. Thank you for your in-depth analysis on the testing of this Control Module.
Thanks a lot. I'm glad you liked it.
You are a good teacher. Thank you.

New sub. here. I saw some other videos on YT showing how to repair the ABS module, but none of them explained all these details that you provided, as you explained, I think the first thing to do the correct repair is to have the proper understanding. This was a very complete and informative video. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for your feedback 🙏👍

Ironic I found this video. Actually my ABS was having faults. My mechanic first said need to buy a new one then has to be coded. Which would have cost a fortune. I told him give me the module and I'll send it to an electronics repair place I know who are really good. They fix everything from from gpus, laptops, cpu, etcetc. Sent it to them and they found it was as you rightly pointed out a power pin supply issue. They fix3it and my mechanic fitted and ran diagnostic test. No issues. Save a ton of money too! As you said anyone that has a abs module problem said do this!
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I’m glad this video was helpful 😊👍
Hi would you mind sharing who you sent yours to
Another great video, thanks guys

found your video helpful. Im diagnosing a 2008 lexus rx350. The code im getting states the solenoid relay faulty. I checked the fuse and they were fine. Since i ran out of time to do further diagnoses. I will return to reconfirm power supply to the harness and inspect the pins for any movement. If im lucky enough to even open it. Keep up with good informative videos. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for your comment. Glad this video is helpful 👍👍
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis i ran all the tests you showed in the video and all check out ok. Do you have any other videos on the same controller? For diagnostics? Thanks
If everything is ok probably then the pump could be the issue, but also the two positive terminal, are connected to the same circuit, which means they have continuity between them, in my case I found out The positive terminal to selonoid there is no link,.

Great instructional session. I have the ABS light illuminated on the dash of my '02 Chev TrailBlazer 4x4, with OBD code C0267 -- "ABS Pump Motor Circuit Open". I have good continuity at the motor connector (motor and leads good), but no continuity between the battery pin (#1 your diag.) and motor ground (#10 your diag.) on the circuit board w/ no power applied: is this a normal condition because motor relay is open when unpowered, or am I likely to find a soldering fault once I open up the control module? If I apply power to the circuit board (ignition key on), can I expect to see +12V at the circuit board ABS pump motor output pin connector? I.e., is there a way to check for a pump motor "open circuit" condition on the board w/o removing the module cover? Does the ABS Pump Motor normally run for a few seconds on every "ignition on" as a test? Thanks for the great videos!
great video very informative
Thanks for your nice comment. Second part of this video is coming (hopefully this week) which is gonna be about testing the components on ABS Module.

Great video sir, i have i very similar ABS module like this one from a Suzuki. Did all the checks however it seem to have a fault from the solenoid valve driver it self . DTC C1043. Very informative video .
Thanks a lot for your comment and for sharing your experience. Yes, if your have checked the power supply on the ABS module, it could be from the solenoid valve driver.

2012 Ford Escape, randomly the brake pedal will go to the floor while I'm stopping and I lose like >80% of my braking effectiveness, but then the brakes are fine next time I use the pedal. No ABS codes are populating, nor does the vehicle pull to either side when this happens.
After watching your videos, maybe one of the outlet valves is sticking open, or being unseated intermittently? Any suggestions how to narrow down the issue, if this could be electrical or mechanical?

Thanks for sharing the video. Referring to the 16:40 of the video about the ABS Motor Transistor. We
connect the positive voltage to drain pin of the 2N06LH5. My question is that why not connected negative voltage but positive since the 2N06L5 is N Channel Mosfet?

Thanks for the excellent video. I'm an electronics engineer (for over 30 years) and dry joints are a prevalent issue in places that have a lot of vibration etc, just like you pointed out on the +ve supply pins. My Suzuki Grand Vitara has an ABS/ESP error so I'm suspect dry joints on the circuit board is the cause.
Question: What do you suggest you use to reseal the cover? Black auto silicone maybe?
Cheers!
Hi my friend. Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching the video. Yes, actually the black silicone is a good choice.
Just perfect
Thanks
Thank you for making this video. You have de-mystified the ABS functioning and explained it very well. I have a 2013 Ford F150 that shows ===ABS DTC C1440-20===Code: C1440 - Pressure Difference Transducer Circuit Failure when I scanned it. I am told that this is inside the ABS control module but did not see it referenced in your video. Can you offer any insight as to where I can find it and possibly repair it? Thank you!
Hi my friend. It is actually located inside the ABS module and the reason for not addressing in the video is that this sensor is controlled directly by the ABS unit there is not much we can do about it. Most of the time when we have this code, we have to replace the entire ABS module.
Thanks a lot
🙏🙏
Really good one.
Glad you think so!

For 2012 Honda Civic, I am seeing 81-20 that states built-in acceleration sensor failure(ABS), at times there is another one 85-01 VSA signal failure(electronic power steering). But consistently seeing 81-20. Any thoughts and guidance if ABS pump can be repaired? Thanks

Amazing you are wonderful first time we learned about abs electron i will repeat this video many times..You made a great effort thanks .
Does is it need reprogramming after that?
Hi my friend. Thanks a lot for your comment. For what I explained in the video, programming is not required

Hi there, I will check and if I find it I will send it here.
Thankyou for this video. I have a similar board totally dead. Not detecting on Can Buds. Fuses ok.
Where does the main +Ve rail start on the board.
Hi there, normally there are 3 pins for the supply voltage. One for ABS motor, one for the valves and the last low amp one for the board. What is the model of your car? Wiring diagram helps for the pin location.
Hello Automotive Diagnostic, a big thank you for making this two part video very easy to follow, clear and informative a lot of useful information. great video and I'm an electronic tech so the service checks are easy. Only problem is the cover over the control board is sealed and breaks if you try to remove it. It does not snap back on. So removing it and locating the problem is a mood point as the module can not be resealed correctly for use.
Yeah, removing the cover and resealing is tough, sometimes I spend so much time to do it right.
감사합니다.
Hi my friend, Thanks a lot for your kind support and for the Super Thanks, I really appreciate it. 🙏❤️
Thanks for the video explaining the repair procedure. Is this ABS module out of a Mazda 3, BL series ? Many of these ABS modules fail on this series of Mazda 3 .
Hi there, thanks for your comment. This one was actually for Holden Captiva which is used on some other models too, but the procedure for testing is pretty much similar.
Thanks for the excellent video!
I have a 2003 vw mk4 Golf that is not getting any abs errors or trouble codes but I cannot bleed the driver rear calliper and have diagnosed to the abs module. Looks like it could be a sticky/stuck valve. Is disassembling the module a possible way to check or confirm it’s a stuck valve? Using VCDS abs output test to check operation.
Hi there, and thanks for your comment.
It is possible to dismantle and check the valve, but as it is sometimes a long procedure so from my point of view it is better to make sure nothing else is causing this. Just one question, when bleeding the braking system equipped with ABS, we normally bleed in two steps, first of all conventional bleeding (without scan tool), then bleeding with scan tool (if that scan tool covers the function), When you do the first step, do you get brake fluid on driver rear caliper or no?
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis Nothing at the Caliper. I also disconnected the pipe at the ABS valve body for that rear caliper and there's no fluid coming out even with break pressure. All the other ports have fluid so that's why I suspect a stuck valve. I've also tried actuating the valves using a magnet but couldn't hear clicking or activation. Is alcohol and compressed air the best way to try and clean? This makes we wonder how many older vehicles are on the road with this type of issue as it doesn't through an ABS code.
@@brentredberger9437 how do you solve this problem? My abs has same problem with you. Thanks
