If the pads are loose like that when reinstalling the caliper, what keeps the pads from constantly rubbing on the rotor?
Once u install them you pump the brakes so the pistons in the caliper come out and pushes the pads against the rotor.once the brake pedal if stiff release it and the pads will be release off the rotors also
When you apply the brakes the pads touch ..when you release the brakes the pads don't touch

THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD.
How'd you diagnose it? I got splatered all over the compressor. Spots around both schrader valves and some where it meets with the condenser. Also a 3.8 like you. Idk if i shold just replace everything, or just replace the valve cores and o rings at condenser. Thoughts?

Does anyone know if the OEM 08 focus has a sensor? I owned this vehicle from New just his 180k and the thermostat finally stopped working. I would like to buy the thermostat before taking it apart as I have to order online. Autozone charging $100 for a $20 part same brand lol

@platnumvi5057 dang so I won't know till I take the thing apart... thank you I appreciate the quick response. Still saved me alot of time all the other videos showed taking off the passenger side wheel and removing the serpentine belt to get to it.
You can look donw inbetweent the powersteering rack and manifold should allow you to see it..or other easy way is call the parts department at the dealership give them your vin. Number and they can say if ot have a sensor or not@jamesnicholas8652
Problem I have is I've been waiting for one from the dealership for 9 months. I live in the West Palm Beach, Florida area, and nobody I know will install one, even if it's a gm part. Does anyone near me know someone who will do it? After parts are now available in the auto parts stores. I'm 84 years old and can't do it myself.
Go get you a used module fro. The junk yard and install it...no programming required... that part from the dealership is on back order and is about to be discontinued... go to a independent shop to have it installed and bleed
look up your local LKQ dealer they have them all over picked one up for $154 with warranty used

Best practice everytime you replace the compressor ..condensor or evap cor...trash or partials cam build up I. Their from them ...but if your comfortable you don't have to replace it if it's not broke
@@platnumvi5057 Yes. the compressor still working and cooling very nice. But someone told me don't touch it until it breaks, because everything is working normal, just the compressor is leaking, and he says is not that bad. -- this is what he told me: I honestly would leave it alone if it is still cooling. The oil leakage may be minute. Another thing I factor is the age of the vehicle, the real goal is getting things working without investing more than it's worth. The O-rings would be worth replacing on the compressor for sure, but I would not disturb any more than needed. Thanks for the feedback.

I heard with a system like that relatively new doesn't need replace expansion valve, condenser or those green seals.

I heard a lot saying 4 to 5 oz of peg 46 for the compressor. 2 oz I think is too low.

did you rotated the compressor clutch the same way it rotates when is working or the other way?
I don't know what is going on, but I see the motor mount on passenger side then your camera shows at driver side. Then when you are removing the compressor is the same, like the compressor is at the driver side. very weird or is my Eyes. I have 20/20 view .

15 with a 5cfm pump that will suck it down quick. Actually with a good 5cfm vacuum pump u can suck it down in 5 mins but I do 15..including a house ac system

No this is a police package vehicle ..no spacers needed came from factory that way

Those calipers and rotors is for the police package ..not for regular tahoe

Pulsation comes from the rotors being warp. Might have heat spots hose chevy rotors don't last 2 long
I'm getting service brake pad monitor on my 2021 tahoe with 39k. I had the dealer check the pads 2 months ago when the oil was changed and the dealership stated that the pads were find
Go into your vehicle settings and deactivate the brake pad wear..its does it around 50% for some reason..if you dont it will keep popping up everytime around 30 to 50%
Lot of complaints of why it's doing that and the dealership turns it off also in the settings
Great tutorial video. It did not matter that you used a reverse camera display. It was all helpful and I am glad you shared. The only thing I forgot was to prepare for the transmission fluid that drips out when you remove the transmission fluid box. Knowing what sockets was extremely helpful in preparing my tools. Yea if your haven long cranks …or a p0087 code with after it cranks it start shuddering roughly and cuts off eventually or even suddenly… it’s 100% the high pressure “mechanical pump” is the true name for this fuel pump
