Thank you for supporting my channel ♡♡♡
No matter how you're playing you're always smiling!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Great video ❤
Springfield or Palmhill is better overall? If you have only one round which one will you choose? I enjoyed your channel. Thank you.
Yes, Thai heat is real. I should know as I’m from there but now currently residing in Toronto
First time I played in Thailand, only 9 holes, I crapped out after 6 and needed a buggy to bring me back. This was back in 1987 at Siam Country and I was quite fit but the oppressive heat and no breeze absolutely slayed me. Just drinking water will not save you! Love your swing and that you can enjoy a game of golf without getting unduly upset.
Oh my! I've walked one course in Thailand, never again. TOO HOT 😂 I bring a 1.5L bottle of water from 711 to the course. Caddies always get a laugh
Be nice to see you. Play with gabby the golf girl. 👏👏
Stayed and played this course and got really good deal with spa bath on balcony, living room and 2 bathrooms! Real nice course good test. Watching you recent video think you played the best 4 courses in hua hin. I rated them as 1.Banyan 2.palm hills 3.black mountain and 4. Springfield. (Palm hills beat Black Mountain due to price and more welcoming atmosphere)
Sounds nice! I wondered what the rooms were like on the course
@@GolfwithShan that was on the course hotel, huge swimming pool area nicely modelled only downer was the restaurant shut at 7pm.
Happy lunar new year 🎉

I love your channel

Happy lunar new year to you and your family ❤️🎊
In South Africa they do the same in the summer months. To save water and due to water restrictions they water the greens and tee boxes more than the fairways. Drives are longer and putts truer 😊
oh interesting! Must be common for hot places to water greens and tee boxes more 😂 thank you for the input!
Love your honesty. You're so respectful to the staff also. Not all farangs are in Thailand.
The staff are very nice!
Try the Bridgestone e12 contact golf balls . You will hit straighter shots.
Enjoying watching your vlogs from Oz. How long do average rounds take in Thailand? Especially during peak season
When it's not peak season, my bf and I have played quite a few rounds in about 3 hours or less.
Peak season, anywhere from 4 to 5 hours. Usually inside 4.5 hours. Thailand is better than here in Toronto about pace because the caddies and Marshall communicate if there's a holdup.
My wife liked this course. She played her best round of the trip there. BTW where did you stay in Hua Hin? We loved the Cicada and Tamarind markets.
We stayed at the Maven Stylish hotel! Really enjoyed our stay. I have a vlog coming up where I'll show the hotel and room
I appreciate you mentioned what you can pay with card and what you need cash for. I find that Thailand especially in the rural areas are still cash only
do you have the option to get a cart or walk with a push cart with the caddy?
You can walk the course! I honestly wouldn't recommend it in the heat. If you prefer to walk, tee off really early ~7am and it'll be a pleasant walk 😊
Another great video. Do u edit these videos yourself?
Thank you! And yes, all me! 😊
the weather was pretty nice in the GTA the last few days. Many people out on the course that where open.
Judging putts from the fringe: I imagine the speed I want the ball to have after it is one yard onto the green. Speed is a feel thing anyway, right? This seems to work better than "normal speed plus 20% harder", because for me "harder" is a dangerous thought. 😅
😂 that's true!
Typically the way I judge the distance of a putt from off the green, is to First imagine how hard I need to hit the ball to get it onto the green. Then I visualize how far that ball would have rolled if I hit it from the short grass. That gives me a distance and then I pick a spot beyond the flag stick to hit the ball too. Depending on how far off the green, and how far from the pin, typically I add 5 to 7 ft to my putt and it seems to work out pretty well most of the time.
I like the idea of imagining a spot behind the hole, essentially shifting the target to adjust for the longer grass. thanks!
@@GolfwithShan yes, and then you can just put the ball as though you are on the green and don't have to think about long grass, short grass. It's nice to see the conditions at Springfield have improved. Thanks for the videos.
Hi Shan, did you book all of your courses through an agency or direct with the un, Hua Hin is beautiful place
We booked on GolfSavers
You were destroying the course with those practice swings lol.
Just a few 😅 not intentional
How much is average tip?
Minimum of 400 bht but more is always appreciated by the caddy. As a guideline the least you should tip on a Thai golf course is the same as the course charges, but the tips go a long way to helping the lives of caddy
Usually they say minimum 350-400 depending on the golf course. We usually give 500 (1000 between 2 people)
Come to Laos. 🇱🇦
For hard short grass fairways I bump and run with a 9, 8, or 7 iron to the green. It takes a little practice to get the distance down but sure beats the wedge
A nice video. When I played it was not hot at all, rather cool actually. That made it even more enjoyable as you can see in this VLOG: th-cam.com/video/gldgahGQJSM/w-d-xo.html
Great video!! Hope you all had a fun time! It looked a bit overcast when you went haha
