Just wanted to comment after your Musio review, I purchased it. For someone like myself who only composes for my own enjoyment, it's an incredible value for the money. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Great test!
In my case, Industry Brass was way more aligned with what I was looking for tone-wise, but after picking it up for Kontakt, it has two glaring faults (which weren't present in the Musio version, which is what I used to "demo" the product before purchasing):
- the shorts on the Trombones are flat out broken, since all the round-robins are being triggered at the same time, instead of one-at-a-time (at least in my install)
- it seriously needs another dynamic layer, and the instrument is built a lot more old-school, where the dynamic layers are obviously separate.
There's also a dud sample here and there, as well as some weird choices about the playable range in some patches.
Appreciate you sharing your experiences - I'm sure the team would love hearing about it!
I agree with this. Love the tonal quality of the library, but so much of it feels almost half assed. The Horns dynamic range sounds like a simple cutoff filter. Also the legato at max dynamic is just broken. There's no transition between the notes at all. Super wierd.
I admit that CineBrass Complete Bundle can have fewer articulations and more high quality, which I use sometimes.
While Industry Brass can have more articulations and perhaps the same high quality.
Maybe for Industry Brass Core and Pro does need to update transition legatos to make a more playable and realistic sound for Hollywood Genre.
And even so, very nice review to compare the difference.
Thanks Antonio!
@@ChristopherSiu No problem, keep it up. ^^
Industry Brass sounds great.
