Log without the need for a secondary device. - Has an additional 4 Analog and 2 Digital inputs so it can act as a hub for your third party sensors. - Future expandability - haldex control, boost controller, Water Meth Controller. - We will take the pricing feedback to heart. With recent changes to the exchange rate and maunufaturing optimizations we look to pass on some savings to the retail consumers in the new year. In the meantime we continue to work on adding more functionality to the device to improve the value proposition. We welcome all feedback and are happy to answer any questions your viewers might have.

The time sunk into making this just right is worth a lot of money to the right person. Sure you can buy a 3D printer and try to make it yourself but you’ll spend months fumbling around.
@@markm0000 Not really, 3D printing is super easy. If you can use calipers you can get a great end result. $700 is a tough sell for a street car when you can get a ODB2 dongle and get more data for like $30 to $100 using Torque Pro on your phone. Hey HumbleMechanic, quick question? So I own a 2014 vw Passat tdi and I’ve noticed that in the mornings when I drive , my car makes noise when slowing down in first gear, it sounds like it’s the transmission but I’m not sure, the noise goes away after about 5-10 mins, do you have any idea what it could be?
@@HumbleMechanic lol!!! I thought the P3 looked cleaner... less functions than the new one, but looked better... You should investigate what happened to the P3 lol
The obvious answer is no. You spend a lot of money and lose an air vent. A scangauge does the same thing and can mount on the windshield or an A-pillar pod (for most vehicles). But if you want the OEM look, I get it. I'm not that concerned with factory appearance. I mean, I have a big carbon fiber ducktail wing on my rwd Mercedes, so I can't even pretend to be about OEM.
The answer is simply NO. Reasons why are: 1. It takes away the one vent for the driver that important. 2. The screen is small for the amount of info it offers. Too much info in a small package. 3. It’s difficult to read the readings as the print is too small. 4. The coloring scale looks like it was made in the 80’s. 5. It has so much pointless information, which is more for marketing purposes to get sales, rather than having it for useful information. I have chosen not to buy one because of these reasons. But my first and fifth reasons were my deciding factors. Before you say “well then you wouldn’t know…” blah blah blah, yes I would know because I had a P1 gauge in my E46 M3, which is essentially the same thing as this, and it sucked for the same reasons. I run two aftermarket gauges on my MK7 GTI. A boost and an AFR gauge. Those are literally the only two gauges you need. Everything else on this gauge is purely for marketing purposes. If you want those other readings, you can get an OBD2 or Cobb AP, which is way more useful.
Adding a device with these characteristics is only useful for a professional mechanic, it won't help the owner of the vehicle because first of all he won't know how to use it and second, it's another distraction along with the multi-media screen, in my opinion it is a waste of money and a risk while driving the vehicle.
I think for your average user you are right. For enthusiasts with tuned cars, upgraded turbos, weekend track warriors, this device can be a life/engine saver.
This video was a year in the making LOL. What other MK7 things are a must??

I haven’t used on a mk6? But I can tell you the tool is really great. I assume it will function differently as mk6 and 7.5 cars are different.
If there is a few specific things you want it to do, I’d call VAdpro and confirm.
@@HumbleMechanic appreciate the reply
Removing trim turns up pucker factor to 11.
FACTS!
Is moisture an issue for this? This csn become moist and my anxiety is going up looking at it(I live in a humid place)
I live in NC so we do humid pretty well. I didn't run into any issues over summer
@@HumbleMechanic sounds great!
Could be low fluid. And gets happier as the car gets warm
looking for a good shop can you point me in the right direction...02 mk4 gti 1.8t thanks
Not in a thousand years, no. Not with that 24 pixel 10fps toaster screen ;(
They should work on screen quality, UI and touch response, it feels like an old android phone
CANchecked is my choice if i had to invest in similar thing.
CANchecked are our partners and manufacture the device for us. We are the dealers for customers outside Europe 😀
The dealers dont put the codes in there because they want to charge you $120 an hour for diagnosis
What happened to your “P3 Gauge”? Did you get bored with it?
I took it out when I installed this. It got stuck with no readings. Or it died lol
To be fair I never tried to fix it
@@HumbleMechanic lol!!!
Reasons why are:
Wait wait wait a clear, well thought out, and valuable comment on the internet?lol
I appreciate this insight!
The actual CANchecked guage costs like half that
Notification Squad Have a nice weekend!🔥🔥🔥
My P3 gauge was almost $800 bc it came in a new vent. Worth every penny.
Not when it's blocking an HVAC vent
its pretty ,,, but is it 700 dollars pretty ,,,, mmmmm not sure.
I dont think it's worth it if you JUST want a boost gauge. But if you use it to its potential, then it will be.
@@HumbleMechanic yep its very versatile ,,
I don’t even have to watch the video, but yes it is worth it.
While the functionality might be excellent, it looks like the graphics are very poor.
Vad pro, actually made by Can checked but double the price🤭
Polar fis is cheaper and faster working than that laggy thing
:0 I want one
Please Charls, put yout seat belt!!
Well Now I need one for a mk8 dammit 😂
Too soon Junior!
not worth it
Hmm..
😎👍
