  • Scorching summers and some cold winters, and two 500 yr. floods later it is recovered.
I buried two of them several months apart....still can't remember where the second one is, or what is inside it.

Btw this video is fake. Do you see how loosely packed the soil is around it..? According to him two 500 year floods came through there.. no way that soil was that loosely packed. Even in a year.. total fake. You sir are a fraud and I welcome the next ice age and natural selection.. you are called out.. there is no time date stamp on your video to prove when you dug it up, nor date codes on the food you buried that really collaborates your bs...

    • @SurvivalTheory
      @SurvivalTheory  4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

IF you know what you were talking about, you would know that different soils react differently. Soil around here is mostly organic, and doesn't pack down at all. To have it packed down like the sand in your play sandbox, clay or other material would have to be imported. The clay or sand here may be five or six feet down. Yep, two 500 year floods, about one month apart. Thanks for sharing your genius! You're awesome!

I would have thrown in a can opener. I suppose you could open them with your knife but how do you know you'll have a knife in a SHTF senario where you need your buried cache. Maybe throw in a cheap can opener in each buried cache that you have can goods in it. You can get them for like a dollar I believe.

you can lay something over the top of it in its hole, like a piece of plywood or dense plastic, that'll prevent the probe from puncturing it without adding anything to the complexity of the cache.

Since the last video where you assembled the caches, I keep looking for containers I can reuse around work and home. I was considering 2 gallon plastic buckets with a lid, but your "probing" accident changed my mind. Maybe a new, empty metal paint can, I'll paint it green or something. Or bag it up, i can use it as a container for boiling water.

    • @SurvivalTheory

Jonathan Severt man, get yourself a 5 gallon plastic bucket and buy a Gamma Seal lid, put a bag a Mylar bag is best but even a garbage bag is good. Put your stuff in, add a few Silica Gel packs (or an oxygen absorber for ultimate security) seal the bag, screw on your lid and there you go. Easy and resealable. Just bury it deeper than this guy did. Preferably a couple of feet down, but that’s up to you.

You are out there doing it and passing along important info . As far as anyone saying you are mispronouncing "Cache" -> "Cash" & "Cash ay " are both correct . The word cache' is typically European and specifically French language .
My GPS is typically accurate within 3 meters , but I recommend getting fluent in the use of map and compass which will get me close enough to a cache to get my bearings . I use reflective tacks the size of a thumbtack above the ground and above any anticipated snow . They won't be noticed by people in daylight , but they shine nicely at night with a flashlight when stuck in a tree and they reflect for years . Run a string between 2 trees , measure the half way distance and go straight down to a stone covered in leaf litter directly over the cache .
Your probe obviously didn't hurt the peanut butter and the container is still usable for collecting water . Great video my friend and Respect sent .

Yep. I always think of the first run stamp envelopes when I think of the word, so I pronounce it wrong. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I call bullshit on this video! If you placed an opened and half used jar of peanut butter in that jug under ground for 2 years in would be rancid.

I disagree, i had an opened at least 5 year old jar of peanut butter i ate once because i couldn't afford food and that's all i had. It was totally fine, it tasted kinda stale, but not bad at all and i didn't get sick.

I've eaten opened PB after 3 years past the date. No big deal. No noticeable diff.

Is it just me, or am I wrong. If you bury a survivor cache, you better document it better than with more than two Smirnoff bottles. Btw, two five hundred year floods won't affect where you buried it . That happend way before you threw down your Smirnoff.. you couldn't remember where it was because you were "probably" drinking when you burried it. Not saying you were but you did Mark it with two beer bottles. In my mind, and heart the song " A country boy can survive".. you sir, with all DUE respect don't strike me as the type who survive . Just my opinion though.. if an ice age hit.. you would be frozen wandering around the woods looking for beer bottles.. natural selection I suppose. I mean NO other markings aside from two beer bottles.. dude, you definitely wouldn't make it. God bless selective nature. I hope if you if have kids and a faimly, you teach them better than this crap. A REAL survivalist would laugh at you as they walked away and you,.. well you know.. be smart about videos you post. Educate yourself before you show the rest of the public who can't survive if the gas pump won't work or their surfboard won't float, seriously.. learn to hunt, fish, track and trap. Learn about vegeitation in the area you will be in BEFORE you bury stuff marked with two beer bottles. Love all the camo gear and gloves,. And then your city shoes.. lmfao...city slicker for sure. This guy will get you and anyone following him killed. Educate yourself people. Before , and just in case shit goes down.. this guy isn't the one to save anyone.. he will be the first to go. But nature has it ways of taking out the stupid..

Cdogass.... You've left a lot of comments on a video you don't like. You lonely?
Maybe you should get a job, get out of mommies basement and play in the yard.
