@@nathanbattles3958 I have diabetes type 2. and my diabetes doctor. says to avoid sweeteners. first of all, it tastes bad, then it's not healthy. she said that if I get a craving for a soft drink, it was okay with real sugar in it, like 33cl
The vast majority of US soldiers are admin and support. I heard that they were complaining years ago about gaining weight eating MREs in the field so the crappy diet drink mixes were to appease them.
Happy new year! I take it that particular ration is to keep you full and get some energy from all the carbs? Still not a bad idea to have a few of those around 😊
This would be a good pre-packaged Ration to throw into my Survival/ "Oh Sh*t" Backpack I carry while hunting in the boonies. Maybe two of them along with my Fire, shelter, first aid gear.
My daughter is allergic to red dyes. It's in EVERYTHING. Even children's antibiotics. We had to have pain medication specially made for her when she had her tonsils out.
Third Strike Rations specially composed of all the high calorie, high fat food items treasured by 300 pound preppers who can't ruck 10 pounds on their back. The swirly peppermint candy and fun sized M&Ms were the capper for me on this one :-) LOL
I would have thought that in emergencies, every calorie is important, so a sugar-free drink is not always the best option. I have difficulty swallowing after an oral surgery, and the doctor recommended doing away with artificial sweeteners and going for full fat milk to help keep my calories count up

You know enough by now what goes into a good ration, Nathan. I say you make some of your own and then sell em to us. I’d buy some for sure! Could be a good money maker.
Hi Nathan! Great to see MRE review videos a rolling out! I am sure this will be an awesome review as always! Is Philip still with you? Take care and till the next one! 👍😎🪖🇺🇲
Make a Best of the Best Ration (with honors, sir) from the best entrees and side dishes from around the globe. The best chocolate. The best drinks. Even the best utensils and napkins. Damn the cost because who in their right mind wouldn't want to see the unboxing of THE PERFECT RATION tm. Pull in a few million views, easy street mah boy.
any time you see MREs like this its more accurate to say it is "whatever we could get in bulk from the usual providers." I just bought a box of FSR for about $25 each, delivered. (9 rations)
Keep your eye out buddy. You shouldn't pay more than 150 for FSR case. Even 150 is really high. There are a ton of con artists in the genre. You will meet some of the best people you have ever met in your life in this subset but you can also meet some of the worst
The US needs to dump the phukking carbs in their rations. One MRE has more carbs than I eat in a month-- and they ponder why the average soldier has never been fatter. Great vid. Nice channel. thx.
Couldn't agree more. I'm an old soldier, ate more than my share of dehydrated pork patties in basic training but I still remember those early 80's-90's MREs fondly. Some of the entrees were pretty rough, but at least they had real food in the ration - dehydrated fruit, nut cakes, crackers and spreads that actually filled you up. Now it's like they take the junk food aisle from the nearest 7-11 and dump it into brown plastic bags. The entrees are way better, but the sugary garbage has to go.
Seems like they should have packed in some peanut butter or cheese spread for the bread , but , that whole unit still looks good .
The M&Ms matched the punch.
So amazing keep up the good work Nathan
a little strange that there was a sugar-free drink with it. a soldier needs all the energy he can get.
Modern MRE’s all have sugar free sweeteners and drinks. It’s been that way for a while and they suck. The meals themselves are better though.

11B all the way.
@@nathanbattles3958 sounds like something a wanna be 11 Bang Bang POG would say……….
The best part was when you made a comment about too much red dye then later you win the red m&m lottery 😂
It's like a meat pasty that miners used to stick in a pocket for lunch in the mine

Glad you’re back doing ration reviews
Keep on keeping on brother 💪!!
Interesting ration Nathan. I will check the company out. Thanks for sharing with us. I hope all are well. Peace, John.
Happy New Year and all the best to the family Nate
Great review! Very informative. Thanks for uploading.
Perhaps if any disaster use if newer dates?
Glad you provided a showcase :)
!!! REDACTED!!!
This is one of those "amazon" repack sellers that buy the caselots and do not know when it was expired.
*RESEARCH HELPS*
Actually, their page says they're $16. Given that the same retailer will sell you Bridgeford sandwiches at 12/$40...
I have to see if I can get some next time I'm down in the USA.
I saw it on the label, but missed you pointing out that the wraps were flour tore-teal-ahs…….
Thats actually pretty awesome. If someone did something similar in the UK I recon they would sell rather well you know
Good stuff Nathan!

I like how they come with a firework kit. Boom!! I throw the food away expired or not
You just won the Power Ball lottery of M&Ms
Nathan ... who makes the knife you are using in this video?
Its a Gerber model flatiron or something just look at Gerber knives you'll find it easy enough.
Dave Potter?
From Massachusetts?
Great video today. It's always a good day when Nathan posts a review.
You didn’t heat it up?? Eewwww
You made a great point, they’re made to eat on the go. These aren’t supposed be part of your regular diet. Great video!
Hope the holidays were good for you and your family. I think this ration wold be great to put in the trunk of a car, in case of emergency.
I haven’t had any Bridgeport items that I liked yet
That bread looks DENSE…

Awsome ration
Some have to watch what is in ingredients, such as artificial sweetener reaction, msg, etc.
Nice
I would be happy with the drink with red dye rather than the cheap clear ones that are usually bad when u get them

2332 date is production date. December 2022
Always said they should include Tums in an MRE.
What’s wrong with airport food? There’s a shake shack at Terminal 4 at JFK?
I just ordered one to try.
Being concerned about the punch is a bit funny considering you’re eating meat that’s been treated to be in a pouch for years. Lol

Cool!
1:54 ...psst!..it's not 2332.....🙃
I’ve always wondered if the MRE bread is designed to make you drink water with it.
Full of fiber and enriched with vitamins. 100% by design.
Always like the taco wraps add some mre cheese I'd destroy em

wow first time im early without getting the notification XD
Not the worst and not the best. Too much Bridgford. They could've done better, but I guess it would come in handy in emergency situations.

@@Raskolnikov70Yeah, I much preferred the older MREs with the freeze dried fruit and "bars". And those beef and pork patties were pretty good.

Sorry, but that MRE is trash. Bridgeford mre products are horrible! I'd rather have the scrambled egg mre crap instead.
Now you are just lying KEHD
"Third Strike" sounds like the ration people ought to get when they really fucked up.
Nice
