Lol I was just thinking "right when Becky finishes her home decor journey for this house" and then Austin was like "and you want to move because you've finished every room in this house" hahaha
@@MsRainingDays I mean they've been thinking of moving for a while in the beginning of the video. Becky and Austin never really seemed like people who would stay in the city forever so I'm not surprised they ended up moving. In fact it was probably the opposite way. Becky didn't want to leave until she had finished making over her house!
11:40 really struck home for me right now. Becky, talking about the disapointment of not being accepted for the first offer, said "I guess this just means there is something better out there for me" Just found out that my internship that I thought was going to turn into my full time career for the next ten years is not going to offer me a job going forward and I feel like I am working through this same kind of heartbreak. Thanks Becky, for sharing a really reassuring piece of motivation even if you didnt believe it when you said it
Oh honey I went through the same thing and personally all I think about is that it should be just a great experience to know that there might be things out there you'll think they are for you but you become a stronger person after a rejection and it will be better for your future. Good luck to you
Both my internships didn’t offer full time jobs afterwards. The second internship I had the location closed down and they told me not to come in for work the day before I was to come in. It can be really hard but I feel like something better is out there for you!
So wild! I was thinking the same after hearing Becky go through this. I'm a uni student and was supposed to do an internship year this year. I worked really hard on the applications and still did not get any position :( But then I look back at how things did not go according to plan in the past, which led me to even better places than I could have predicted at the time. I would not change a thing today about how things panned out. So I like to believe that even though it's hard right now, there's bigger things planned out ahead of us, we just don't know it yet!!!
Forgive an older lady some advice but sometimes you can do everything right and it just doesn’t work out. Internships seem terribly unfair at times when they don’t lead directly to an opportunity and I’m not sure I agree with not paying people but don’t be put off. Build good relationships and contacts, persist and work the law of averages. Apply for more jobs, think critically and try to improve where you can, be it confidence, projection etc. and stay positive. Being selected for an internship is so competitive, you clearly have talent/potential and sometimes it’s just that extra application that can be the one. Believe in yourself.
Right!?! I watch @ XoMacenna, RJ and Kinsley; @ Lone Fox Drew and Marie and ofc @ TSG too. also absolutely love love love and recommend 💗Mr. Kate, Joey and Moon 🥰 @ Mr. Kate, another fav is @ Mia Maples does home renovation from time to time, @ CloudyHills, @ Letitia Kui and @ Rachel Metz if u don't mind some building demo and reno in thong bathing suits featuring Rachel's buttcheek shots 😆 lmaoooo (shes in the 🔥 🥵 desert)
Don’t forget Elysia English. They are renovating a house that they bought last year and right now Elysia is doing most of the work since Phil has been laid up because he broke his leg
I know that talking about $$$ requires a lot of vulnerability, but as a millennial beginning to think about buying my first home, I feel completely overwhelmed by budgeting for this major investment! Would love to see a conversation about how you and Austin figured out how much to offer, how much to save for renovations, etc. It could even be a panel discussion--as many folks have mentioned, there are lots of TH-camrs who recently purchased homes, and this would be an interesting collaboration to compare the market in different places.
I’m so happy that my husband and I took the plunge to buy a home right after marrying in our early 20s, while our millennial fellows bought avocado toast for breakfast. Making that huge investment and big financial investment early on has helped us to build up a comfortable lifestyle, while we now see others scramble.
@@ACC-2929 Yeah I'm going to go with the fact that the interest rates and the laws around buying a home were different 10 years ago. The law literally changed while we were in the process of buying our home. We had a 35% down payment on a relatively cheap home only $70, 000, my fiance has had the same job for the last 15 years making about what our house was worth a year. We had no other debt. We had collateral like cars that were completely paid off, 401k, and almost 800 credit score. Our conventional loan was approved and halfway through the process of getting the house the rule around having no more than one year of bad credit was finalized. My fiance (40) to have bad credit for a year and a half when he was 21 from a store credit card was no longer allowed to have a conventional loan. Only thing we could get was an FHA loan. Which if we're paying on for our entire lives for a very cheap home means we will never be able to pay this house off because most of the interest goes to us being considered "unreliable" for the loan! It certainly has nothing to do with saving because we almost have saved up enough to buy half of the goddamn house.
Watching this made me smile!! Austin’s personality is so so much like my fiancés (he passed last month from a brain aneurysm on July 13) and my life and my two childrens lives have been flipped upside down and we’ve truly been empty and a mess. Everyday is a struggle and they are truly the reason I get out of bed each morning and hug them extra extra tight (which probably use to annoy them and now they hug me tighter back). Seeing Becky and Austin together reminded me so much of me and my fiancé before I lost him and it was so beautiful to see someone else have that genuine happy love that we had. I wish you both so so much love and health and happiness. Life is so freaking short enjoy everyday and moment you never know what tomorrow may bring. Xox-

I know the feeling of house hunting in this market well! We started looking for a farm in the fall of 2020 and it was so emotional getting invested in potential properties and then losing to a multiple offer situation. We eventually found it and are on our second season of farming and renovating and it's just the best!
Becky, I'm in Michigan and my partner and I were house hunting at the same time as you! It was so tough and so disheartening at times but it we found our home at the end of it. Congrats!

The value has already gone up ~50-55k in the year we’ve been here. Adulting can be so stressful but so rewarding! Excited to see your new home and what you’ll do to it. 🤗🥰🎉

This was such a chill and relaxing video, love the way you and Austin described the homebuying process. Congrats on the new home! Looking forward to seeing all the great content
Austin is so Canadian lol I know Becky is Canadian but I can't really tell from the way she talks, until she says "eh" or "hey" at the end of a sentence. She doesn't have an accent really. I'm intrigued! I think I know which house you two picked and can't wait to see it in full! And I'm loving Austin in your vids. The amount of times I burst out laughing was awesome! Let's blur the Pepsi can but never mind the can of beer on the table. LMAO, that was great!
I lived in a California house, we had a lemon tree and our neighbors had corn. We referred to them as the corny neighbors. Squirrels would eat the corn and put the cobs in our yard!

My wife and I recently sold our house in Windsor, ON and now live in New Brunswick. We had the same thought that we wanted more land and realized we could get better bang for our buck here.
What in the cliff hanger?!!! Omg I can’t wait for more in this series! I love your taste and vision, can’t wait to see what you do!
I was thinking the same thing. But based on the tenses changing when talking about the second to last one I have a feeling it’s that one!
More Becky and Austin videos to take up space in the wholesome section of my brain 🥰💕 so cute
Congrats! Enjoyed Austin's antics and input.
its seems to be so exciting new yet u bring me back some old memories when we were looking for a house , it was so stressful yet i had a happiness tears when we had our first own house
Oh you teasing us with that ending 😂 I think I can guess tho. I hope the move is going well and we will get to enjoy a bit with you in this journey.
This was such a chill and relaxing video, love the way you and Austin described the homebuying process. Congrats on the new home! Looking forward to seeing all the great content
Becky you gave it away! Very very excited for the new show "Decorating MCM/80s !"👏👏👏👏👏
Austin is so Canadian lol
I know Becky is Canadian but I can't really tell from the way she talks, until she says "eh" or "hey" at the end of a sentence. She doesn't have an accent really. My mom's whole family, bio and adopted are Canadian and Austin reminds me of them so much! His voice and accent and the way he talks and the things he says
Don’t know why I got so emotional at the end when you guys decided on the house lol 🥹 So happy for your next journey!
Girl same my eyes watered
Right when I saw that living room space and that ceiling, I thought totally mid century, totally Becky. I was rooting for that house for you!!! Whoooo
I love your guys videos. Inspires me to do stuff at home and upcycle things❤️😌 Love from India🥰
Congratulations!! I was so excited for the reveal !! Man cliffhangers . 🤣🤣
Oh my gosh the cliffhanger!!!! If this is a new series I’m all here for it
Any Austin sighting makes me happy. Congrats to being able to survive and thrive in Ontario ✌️
Wow! After all the changes that you’ve done in this place…though can’t wait to see what you will diy the new place 🥰
Love this viddddd. Giving me vlog vibes, with Aaron cameo and his humor. 🤗🤗🤗
Can we say how much we love Austin lol? You both are the best together (of course 😉 .) Can't wait for all the awesome updates!!
Congratulations and best wishes to Becky, Austin, and Danny moving forward.🎉
Congrats! Can't wait to see what you do with the new house and property!
Man, after the last video I was half hoping you were going to buy one of those abandoned retro homes and renovate it, but this is almost better! Can't wait to see your new space and watch you make it yours ♥
