OH NOOOOO! 😂😂😂😂😂 You were at IKEA and Becky asked what the small yellow bag is for. It's not a bag for your mail, Kelsey, it's a (directly translated) "Fire blanket" you mount on the wall. You get it out of the bag by pulling on the two black tabs and use it to put out fire, mostly on people whose clothes are burning. Please don't put your mail in there. 😂😂😂

Hi! Swede here, the mail thingy you saw after the fire extinguisher is actually a fire blanket! Its like a piece of fabric that can put out fires on people.
The fire extinguisher is also working but looks a LOT nicer than the regular red ones!
This was fun. No shade to you guys, but I love how Volvo makes an electric car because "green" and "the environment" and then flies who knows how many influencers across the world (and then back) to see it. It's not about the planet. It's about convincing you it's for the planet so you'll give them your money.

Might be interesting to know that Stockholm syndrome was coined by a psychologist that never meet the hostages, and might be a bit of male medical professional not bothering to listen to women. It's a lot more complicated than it looks at first and the hostages became fearful that the police would use force that would harm them as well, hence why they started trusting the robbers more than the police. The prime minister even said (while on the phone with hostagee Kristin Enmark) "wouldn't it be nice to die on the job" (my translation).

basically, as a rule, you should question any big name pop psychology phenomenon (stockholm syndrome, milgram experiment, stanford prison experiment, the kitty genovese story).
the podcast you're wrong about has episodes on most (or all) of these, actually looking into all the details, cannot recommend enough.

17:31 It's not called "adventskranz" in Sweden 😅 That's the german word. In Sweden, we called them "adventsljus" which literally translates to "advent candles". You light up one during the four Sundays before Christmas, it is a cute tradition. We usually do advent-fika at the same time.
Advent is done WIDELY in North America too!

@@dorrolorro it happens at church services during the time of advent which is the weeks leading up until Christmas. Religions such as Anglican, catholic....etc.

The thing you said was "for the mail" is a fire extinguisher blanket. As in put on something that's on fire and it'll extinguish it. People have them in their kitchens. You hang it on the wall from like a hook and in case of emergy you pull the 2 black strings and it unravels.
23:51 are you talking about Restaurang Oxenstierna? It's pronounced [rest-oo-rung oox-un-shur-nah]. Oxenstierna is the surname of one of the oldest noble families in Sweden. In modern Swedish the name sounds like "star of the ox" but it actually has german roots and translates to "forehead of an ox". To have a strong forehead is an idiom that means that you won't give up easily. And I guess the ox's forehead is the strongest.

I am from germany and I recently had to explain the Adventskranz to people aswell because I forgot it is not as common outside germany if at all in the US. What I find interesting is that the adventcalender made its rounds around the world which where also invented in germany.

Omg lol where my dental professionals at 🤙🏼 Long time viewer, RDH from Washington State here. It is true that I also look for things to tell my boss that he should look at (ie. there’s a suspicious stain on this tooth that I saw while cleaning, could be a cavity) because I’m working on every tooth for almost 30-40 minutes but DDS is the one that diagnoses. If I tell him some spots ahead of time (that is, if I even see anything) that saves him time. But my boss usually spends more than 30 seconds checking every tooth and the oral tissues 😅
It’s definitely on the shorter side if someone has good brushing and flossing and are not cavity prone!

My dentist does everything -- he's the only person running his practice actually. He used to have another person, but even then, she just did data entry or held the tool that sucks the water out while he did all the cleaning.

Kelsey, sounds like we have the same dentist (I think we live in the same neighbourhood so it's actually possible!) Last time i went, he spent about 15 seconds looking in my actual mouth, then 10 minutes telling me about his fishing trip, and then there was an extra 40 dollar charge for that 10 minute "inspection" (it actually might have even been more than 40, i can't remember the specifics)

As a dental assistant, a good practice is for the doctor/dentist to spend time in the patient’s mouth, one to check for any cavities or cervical erosions (that X-rays don’t show/hygienists don’t catch) etc, and explain the X-rays to the PT even if there was nothing on them that needed to be treatment planned, AND to talk to the PT about life and keep up the rapport, ANNND evaluate the hygienists cleaning job (just as a precautionary measure)!
Even if the dentist doesn’t explicitly say in front of the PT that the Hygenist needs to continue working on an area, or they haven’t told the PT that they need more routine deep perio maintenance, a good practice spends time on the PT to make sure the hygienist and Dr are on the same page, while putting the PT first.
So, Kelsey, you’re not wrong by any means lol
My dentist also checks my mouth for like 30 seconds haha… maybe a minute. And if I had images done they might look at those for a minute. The part of the appt with the dentist is like a couple minutes max 😂 probably different if there are issues but I guess if everything looks good it only takes a second to see that

Have any of you guys heard of the EV start up called Aptera? They actually have solar panels on the vehicle and potentially you wouldn't ever have to charge it via a cord if you just drive in the city.
