Thanks for actually showing what others don't. Those little tabs up under there. But be careful telling people to "make sure you tighten those screws really good," that's where a lot of people mess up, use a power drill and crack the plastic

Thank you for the feedback. Hopefully no one uses a drill.

@@carlosperez-lobomedia24 You didn't replace the gasket, the F-150's are notorious for collecting water from the opening in the chassis, otherwise great job!

@@mr.craigslist2871 The new light came attached with a new gasket seal. Darn, I see that I cut that part out of the edit.

EXCELLANT and very informative 'do it yourself' video, I bought an OEM product, all the wire was totally routed on the right side, kept it that way. Thanks for your video...I did view a few others, yours was the most straight forward and informative by far. Thanks Carlos....

Awesome video ! This worked for me and worked beautifully. Patience releasing the hidden harness clip is definitely needed but can be done. Great job Mr Perez !

this was by far the best of the videos that I watched on this topic However, the replacement assembly i purchased on Amazon the lamp holes were too small for my OEM harness lights. I ended up having to replaced the harness as well. The tip about the long needle nose pliers was key at freeing up the harness. I did not feed the plug through the center hole but rather just used the hole i pulled the plug through and it fit fine without the hassle of have having to loop the cable in and out. thanks very much

I cannot stress enough how important those angled needle-nosed plyers are in this. The two plastic bolts holding up the wire is nearly impossible to break or push in with long straight needle-nosed plyers. Save yourself the 20 minutes and buy a $7 pair from harbor freight.

I use that tool very often. My straight needles pliers just collect dust now.

Any advice on if it don’t come off when the screws are removed? I took the screws out on my 2006 f-150 and I tried prying it with a screwdriver and it started to chip.

I’ve never heard of those third brake lights being stuck, seems odd. I would try with a heat gun and pry with mud spatula.
Are you the original owner? I wonder if a previous owner used glue or silicon.
