People still coming here for help with the game. That just proves how great this video is. Thanks so much for this upload 12 years ago, still a great help for me whenever I forget a rule or two
+Zavrix Your post was good but not good enough. What should i do when im in second match and dont have cards? Just spam end turn untill opponent win all 3?
This may be from 11 years ago but it just finally helped me to learn this damn game. I bought Kotor the day it came out on original Xbox. I have always pasted this game. Thank you so much if you are still around.
It's been well over a decade of me playing Knights throughout the years and I'm just now taking the time to learn this game. The Blackjack explanation made me facepalm; it was all so simple.. I could've been playing Pazaak all these years! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this tutorial on Pazzak! This will prove helpful in sharpening my Pazzak playing skills in STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords!
>playing kotor in the living room at 3am because there's a big storm outside and i can't sleep >get a little chubbed up while playing pazaak over and over to grind credits >every time that girl says "muchu shakka pakka" my chub expands >decide to start beating off >every time I win a match I make a little wookie sound and crank it even harder >after about 20 mucha shakka pakka's I blow a fat load all over my chest and let loose a horrific wookie sound >suddenly remember my little sister came downstairs to watch me play from the very start >look over hoping she's asleep >she isn't
Pazaak is such a great cardgame!! Played this for hours on end. Caravan and Gwent are right up there too. Great way to pass the time if you want a break from the "core game (s)" ☺
Thanks for a very helpful video! I am replaying KotOR 2: Sith Lords (first time in ten years) with the Restored Content Mod and need to win a slave. Good stuff, man.
I used to save near the Pazaak players and then just re-load if I lost. It took a while but I made a lot of credits, kinda felt like I was cheating though.
Pure Pazaak 🃏
because the ai is actually pretty bad when they stand first. rather than complain about who GOES first, pazaak actually starts with who STANDS first. it's just that when you go first, you are more likely to STAND first. but once you learn how to play, the ai is really subpar when they STAND first (from bad luck). so i really enjoyed kotor I pazaak when i took the game seriously, because you going first (and playing better) automatically forces the algorithm to play better. i was able to get 50% wr.
So i know this is 3 years late, but you can only place 1 card down per turn. So if you play a 2&4 down you cant place another card until your next turn, which at the start of you have to draw a green card first, so the double will only be affected from that number.
it's a game of think, I love Pazaak since the firts one I play it in KOTOR 1. I got the Wager20 app for iPhone, and the absolute Pazaak4Android. Just Love it. And you can win the negative cards if you are smart. Good tutorial. I am devilmaycry2812 and you can challenge me on the absolute pazaak.
@@Calcoro No thats the "flip hand card" option which ofcourse I know, there's another thing beneath it that says "change card value". Playing on the Switch btw, right and left shoulder button but the left one does nothing.
This game is 100% cheaty bullshit. i stand at 19 so many fucking times and the computer just so happens to land a perfect number to get 20. or they go over by 1 and JUST SO HAPPEN to have a -1. its pure luck and even then its less fair than rng.
I suspected this game sucked based on the horrible description offeres in game, and seeing a tutorial end in tie due to shitty luck really just reinforces this. FF9's card game is intuitive next to this shit.
i can get 50% wr in kotor I. the ai is subpar when they stand first, so you might just not be familiar with card games or blaming the computer too much
12 years later this is still the best tutorial. Can't wait to add it to my D20 campaign.
People still coming here for help with the game. That just proves how great this video is. Thanks so much for this upload 12 years ago, still a great help for me whenever I forget a rule or two
Jesus Christ it's been five years since I uploaded this.

@@Calcoro thank you
Just got a deck from a customer of mine and going to teach the family to play. This REALLY helped, thanks! :D
Thanks for this tutorial on Pazzak! This will prove helpful in sharpening my Pazzak playing skills in STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords!
Thanks for the in-depth tutorial! I never played pazaak, thought it too hard and just ignored the mini-game. Will come back and try again now.

…you know how to play Caravan?
I like you enjoyed the mentioned games. Gwent was great fun & won me a lot of money.
thank you so much, you are a good master! may the force be with you.

Whenever you win a game immediately save, then if you lose the next one you can just reload that save and try again.
Hearthstone talk me how to walk so Pazaak could teach me how to run. Thanks Calcoro!
13 years. Hell yeah. Kotor was so good. And pazaak was awesome
thanks, extremely well made and simple turorial

+Mr jooj im doing that right now :D

Someone took a screenshot of this comment and put it on reddit.

Holy shit, this game suddenly makes sense
HAHA! I won from Atton. I feel like the best gambler in the galaxy. Thanks mate!
Yo dude, thanks for the video. I love kotor lol
I'm just about to buy a deck of Pazaak cards so I can play IRL. Luckily I found this because I completely forgot the rules.
thx mate, now i can finally stop losing to Doten
Thanks for the explanation. :)
Here in 2022 great vid man thx 😊

Very good explanation
Thanks, bud!
great vid
2024 this is helping me still :-)
Playing KOTOR for first time thank you!
Ik KOTOR 1 and 2 like the back of my hand except I never really understood or even played pazaak that much. Just now learning in 2019 😂
This reminds me of Gwent from Witcher 3 for some reason.
Thanks bro. :)
Where and how can you get the +/- 1/2 card???
Why is a player's turn always the first one in a game against the computer?
I guess it is to give AI a small advantage.
because the ai is actually pretty bad when they stand first. rather than complain about who GOES first, pazaak actually starts with who STANDS first. it's just that when you go first, you are more likely to STAND first. but once you learn how to play, the ai is really subpar when they STAND first (from bad luck). so i really enjoyed kotor I pazaak when i took the game seriously, because you going first (and playing better) automatically forces the algorithm to play better. i was able to get 50% wr.
Thankyou!!!!
Biggest mistake of The Old Republic mmo was not including Pizaak. It would have been great going against other people for credits!
this game was life, but it was at kotor 1 right?
Thanks for this
Nice guide man
I always had a tough time with Nikko on Onderon. The Champ was easy to beat. On K2
Here because of the remake
i need an aspirin....like 10 of them
I was 2 when you made this
It's been 12 years now
Why can my opponent put cards on my side but i cant on his

What happens when you play the Double card after a 2&4 or 3&6 card? Does it have no effect?
So i know this is 3 years late, but you can only place 1 card down per turn. So if you play a 2&4 down you cant place another card until your next turn, which at the start of you have to draw a green card first, so the double will only be affected from that number.

@Brownbeartmb wtf that's so random
thanks, was a confusing game.

It's been 10 years and I still can't win this game. Guess I'll skip it again this playthrough.
WE ARE GETTING A REMAKE!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Playing Kotor 2 right now, and under "flip hand card" it says "change card value". What does that do !? Doesn't do anything to any of my cards...
Are you talking about the cards that have a +/- on them? That changes whether the card is a positive or negative number.
@@Calcoro No thats the "flip hand card" option which ofcourse I know, there's another thing beneath it that says "change card value". Playing on the Switch btw, right and left shoulder button but the left one does nothing.

I lost my wife to Pazaak
RIP

I hate this fucking game. Pazaak, not KOTOR 2.
It's fucking impossible to win without negative cards.

its pure luck and even then its less fair than rng.
because 19 is bad when opponent has a full hand. so you are objectively playing subpar
No esta en español xd
Probably the dumbest aspect of this game
Come on, man.
its probably better than gwent
@@murtazarizvi368 naah Gwent is way more fun
