  • @seanpuello
    @seanpuello 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i was able to fuse the video, and the Disney version, to make it work better together
    just take the videos discard pile(the face down pile), and place it on top of the face card pile, your card face up obviously. that's what Disney wants you to do anyway...
    that way, you're following Disney's family friendly rules. AND if you decide to play it gambling style, it still makes sense, and you still have to bet 2 chips to pick up the face card, or 1 chip to pick up from the pile.
    either version you still have to trade to pick up. but for some reason he made it a separate pile.
    adding his poker/gambling style makes more use of the "winning hands" part of the Disney instructions. in my few games playing the Disney version, nobody EVER got more than 3 cards. so nobody could declare an idiots array, fleet or anything...
    hope this helps fix anyones confusion between the 2 version

    Hi. Awesome explanation and thank you for the pdfs. You've done great job. I've been playing it and I have a question.
    Do you have to shuffle the deck after each round, or you keep playing with the remaining cards until you finish the game? I asked because in the movie they look like they are counting cards and the only way they can do it is by not shuffling the deck. I've been playing with just another person perhaps its more difficult that way.
    Thanks a lot again!!

    • @LaTribunedeCoruscant
      @LaTribunedeCoruscant  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great video, and fantastic job explaining the game. The only thing I would disagree with is the discard. We discard our cards face up on the discard pile (like many card games). From the Hasbro and Galaxy’s Edge rules, I don’t see anything that indicates you should discard face down in a separate pile.

  • @solarisdevorak
    @solarisdevorak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I know this is a older video, but when you exchange, should you not discard to the face up pile? I have seen other plays that do this. Just curious about your opinion on this.

    Question: Maybe I missed it but we can’t seem to decipher one thing.. when you have two players that have Sabacc with a single pair, which player wins the tie break? Thank you for taking the time to organize and put together the video and PDF for a well thought out, fun, very playable, Star Wars lore driven Corellian Spike game! Really appreciate it! One question maybe you could shed light on: Strategically speaking, in what scenario would anyone fold the first round (or even second round)? It seems to me that there is no "bad" starting hand since any hand has the potential to become a winning hand (by trying your luck at trading or buying). In poker, there are "bad" starting hands to start in which you would generally fold - this does not seem applicable in Corellian Spike, correct? Or do you just kinda go with a 'lucky feeling'?

    • @LaTribunedeCoruscant
      @LaTribunedeCoruscant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I must admit the only times I folded were during the last round because as you said, the hands can drastically change at the end of a round during the spike phase so... If you've got a bad hand either try to improve it or wait for the dice!

    Hey, I have a question. Is it considered a, for example, +8 & -8 a pair? Or to be a pair it has to be the same value with the same + or -.
    In the instructions you can see the sabacc with a pair, it is done with + 1, +1, and -2. If I have the hand +4 & -4. Is that a sabacc with a pair?

    • @LaTribunedeCoruscant

      It's much more difficult to get the two sylops for the Pure Sabacc than having a Full Sabacc, that's why. It's very very unlikely to get that hand and the idea is that it's superior because it's an absolute zero without positive and negative cards. That's the way I see it
