So hypotheticly can i tune my 91 new yorker with the 3.3 even if there website dosent have it on there supported list?

Also in the beginning Just Blow Off all Motor . Instead of using a Vacuum. I’m sure they own a Compressor. That’s what I do . But all in all A great knowing 👍🏻
Vgg,junk yard digs and thunder head 289 just shaking there head right now. Got a leaking carburettor just put new one on don't know if they have spark just change the hole distributor but will leave the squealing fan belts and old oil in it Cause that won't causes problems down the road
What I would love to see is a 4x2 Silverado 1500 1999-2007 with a full float rear end, 6 lug hubs and GM OEM factory big disc brake rear that fits 17 inch wheels or bigger done on powernation
The other thing superchargers do is really help at altitude. I know big horsepower is all these shows are after, but here in Colorado that supercharger builds sea-level power at very high altitudes, and that also fits this trail rigs' ability.
A little overkill with that type of carburetor. A 4150 hp no choke double pumper for a mild stock small block Chevy. Those spark plugs will be flooded black soon. And good luck starting that truck in the winter time down there. She’ll be calling her man to come outside and perform a hand choke in the cold. 🤣
@@fjnagle2nd its psychically impossible to truly fix a lifter tick by pouring something down the carb, if you pour in the to oil fill then yes it can fix it, but by pouring it in the carb all you do is put it in the cylinder which is completely sealed off from the engine oil and the lifters so chances are that you most likely had a carbon knock and the atf cleaned out the carbon in the cylinder.
You dont need vacuum advance, especially on an engine with a large or even moderately large camshaft because the engine will have poor ported vacuum and will not allow the vacuum advance to work correctly.
@@briang4470 How do you know what cam the engine had? If that's the case why did chevy have vacuum advance on Z28, 427 425 and 430 hp engines, 454 ls6 and olds w30, ford boss302. Don't buy what your saying unless it was something you use in a race engine.
@@ms01885 I personally am not a believer in vacuum advance, it's just the way I like to do things, by eliminating it you reduce the amount of variables and makes setting up the timing a bit easier and I have seen vacuum advance diaphragms blow out and have vacuum leaks and have seen them seize up and not work anyway and 99% of the time when I open the hood on an old car people always seem to hook them up to straight manifold vacuum which is completely wrong.

Another type carb and mechanical fuel pump would be way better chice here for reliability. Tell me how many times youve seen a stock gear go bad on a stock style cam! The stock hei will keep going even when worn plum out. Make the engine dependable for her. If Rock is giving you sponsered parts help the lady and replace hoses belts h20 pump and stat. A good ole rodchester 2 jet for her and will just run.and cheep n easy to rebuild later.
My jaw dropped when I heard “206”. I mean, they’re rated at 202 hp and 237 lb/ft. I expected way better even with a little supercharger on it. Disappointing.
@@shadowopsairman1583 a 3.8 liter v6 *should* produce better than barely 200 ponies. That is embarrassingly low considering the mass it has to move. I’d rather toss in a rebuilt 4.0 straight 6 for reliability and nostalgia.
200 hp? Sounds like it's still going to be slow. I get that trail crawling isn't about hp. But 200 hp on something that heavy is a liability just merging with highway speed traffic. That thing is crying for a v8 swap. Lots of Hemis in the boneyard.
You guys should have taken that stupid clickety clack fuel pump off the fender of that poor c10 and put a mechanical pump back on it like a normal person, those electric pumps can dead head and the fuel pressure will creep up too high if the engine is off or idling for extended periods of time.
@@bilbobaggins4710 it's not even a "double pumper" because it is a vacuum secondary holley but it is double feed. A real double pumper is a mechanical secondary holley. But I do agree they should take that carb off as well and either get a new double pumper or a new or reman quadrajet.

Did you change the belt? Or at least use a bar of soap on it?
Not sure what is recommended for belt lube nowadays, used to be brake fluid, but had to take care cause it would strip paint as well.

My engine is rated at 285 but power train loss is 20% so whp is say 230.
