- In Episode 230 of Mike Finnegan's Garage, I venture to Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Home Of Holley and Jessie's Garage, a local shop with a sweet chassis dyno. Jessie was kind enough to allow us to strap my 1967 Chevrolet C10 to the dyno to finally finishing tuning the Terminator X EFI system. The end result was unleashing an additional 200 hp from the Chevrolet Performance LT4 supercharged engine and doing epic burnouts in every gear of the six-speed sequential gearbox.

Being a fan of Finnegan’s builds is brutal. You see an awesome project come in, but you know he’ll throw 10 others in the mix and you have to wait a couple years for them to be finished. But it’s always worth it!

They still do Faster with Finnigan together. Dave just was working way too much and couldn’t be with mike all the time. The man has a family too. All of these guys, including Freiburger work their asses off doing multiple tv shows. Filming almost every week.
That was awesome to see 6 th gear burnouts. Dave’s bel air sounds rowdy.

I guess my question would be, Why did Holley sell a product for an application that would never work as shipped, and quite obviously had never been tested? It's been 3 + years now and the fix isn't yet released. How much money and time have buyers spent trying to make a defective system work?

Just like he said in the video… it’s made and advertised specifically for LT1, L83, and L86. Not LT4.
He is trying to use a setup designed for an LS engine on a LT engine. I'd almost go out on a limb and say it most likely was designed for a na LS on a supercharged LT throwing another wrench in the mix.
Nothing about it was defective. He was trying to run it on an LT4 when it was specifically sold to work with LT1 injectors. Looks like the new version will work with the LT4 injectors as well though.
Nice to see 12-Volt come out and do some vulcanizing!😂 And you looked like Spicoli gettin' out of his van after lunch after the 6th gear burnout. Nicely done! Too bad about roasting the clutch, though. I guess we'll see it again in a year or two!😂 ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

you should be able to re valve the master cylinder for both sets of brakes you just need to know what the factory Ford master cylinder put out for pressure and match it . or get Wilwood to do it for you they love that kind of problem If you call and ask them they will figure it out they even built a set of custom brakes to fit Model A's for J leno it's what they do
Sounds about right for Holley, sell something that made for an engine but not programmed for it and takes 2 years to do an update. Good job guys 👎
Holley never said that system would work for an LT4. It was marketed for the L83/L86/LT1 and does work properly with the injectors on those engines.

I dodnt get a chance to watch the whole video yet, but i dod notice during the 3rd pull at WOT the charge voltage on the holley dash drops below 12 volts and the same when changing gear
If you are going to do standing burnouts like that again, put in an external gear indicator for those watching, that would be awesome 😮

I love newburns 57. It’s so beautifully crusty. If he would build a higher hp big block for it add some funny spray he would have a street machine. And possibly a car to run the 10 second index in race week

This brings me back to when I swapped a 455 Olds and 200-4R into my 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88. Did a 4 gear (plus lockup converter) standing burnout when it was done. The picture is way back in my Instagram feed.

What a good Sunday. Not only getting a sick Finnegan video, but its of the C10! Sounds insane. Building a 67 short bed fleetside c10 right now. Butternut yellow. Wanting to build a 496 or a 555 big block for it with a Tremec t-56 magnum. Just need to find a good core! It'll be a 496 if I find a good gen 4 core, or if I wanna spend the extra money a Big M Dart block would be sick... either way the money will make this project sit for some time more.
Said it before, I’ll say it again. Treat the C10 like a sore dick and don’t screw with it. That thing is perfection (once it gets a clutch swap, anyway)! The 454 in Dave’s 57 sounds really good and the guys at ND would definitely call it a “Performa”.

I put an LS in my 1956 nomad and before I did I rebuild the motor I mean engine I was very surprised how well designed the LS motor is and I see why they last so long GM knocked it out of the park

First off.. don't get an interchiller ... the coolers aren't designed to go from hot hot temps to freezing temps, just F's em and F's your AC as well.
Second, you seem to have alot of motor to bonnet clearance, have you considered an aftermarket lid, with both blower and lid spacers?
Kong performance, or Harrop etc etc
From memory its a stock LS9 too right? No BTR or TexasSpeed cam swap?

I love mikes truck but I hate that it’s a sequential, I feel like they take the fun out of the manual and are still slower shifting than an auto, the sound does dive David’s truck a run for its money
Have you ever driven a sequential? For a daily car i would agree with you, but for weekend hooning, racing and stuff like that it is crazy how addictive it is

Twin disk mantic and still slipping at only 500? I would ask them for a refund, that clutch isn't expensive we had one guy sue mantic here in Canada because the clutch was defective locked out every gear, it became issue as more user reported the same issue.
