Got a 2023 Carnival early this year one of the first to have them in my area and now they are all over the place. I have to say man I love it. Great amount of space fits the whole family comfortably, decent on gas and haven't had any complaints except should have gone with a higher trim.
We bought a 2023 Carnival in 2022 when they first came out and we had nothing but recalls. Also, after the first year, the infotainment system would turn off randomly plus the engine would shut off while driving. Kia dealerships couldn’t resolve the issues because their technicians weren’t trained or certified to fix them. We traded it in for a Sienna and never looked back.
Considering the Telluride & Carnival are both siblings utilising Hyundai/Kia's "N3" platform. You're getting the same product in a different guise/skin.
FML I still love my turbos don't get me wrong. But with a toddler and newborn on the way. I'll be pushing this more than a jeep or Durango at this point

Even though it’s a new Kia and no longer be “easily” stolen. Car thieves will STILL break into your vehicle and destroy the steering column only to realize they can’t steal it. Now you stuck with a $1000 worth of damage. No thanks
Oh lord no. I hate the 2nd row tracks and how you have to completely remove the middle row with no storage options. Also what's the gas mileage 20mpg. That's awful

But is the sound system awful or acceptable or good or better than you expected? Assuming you use it and pay attention. I realize a lot of van drivers don’t care that much. I’d appreciate any feedback you can provide on this Carnival. I’m single without kids but want a car to travel the country by myself and my luggage and gear. Is gas mileage around 20-25?

I just bought one myself, traded in my Supercharger Monte Carlo for a van, and I love it! Was not planning on buying it but fell in love with all the space. I don’t have any children either, but I wanted something spacious for my dogs and something I could sleep in if I absolutely needed to. The sound system is alright, not as impressive as my old speakers however it was a compromise I was willing to make. It’s pretty badass and stylish, in my opinion. It definitely looks more like an SUV than a van.
If any considering kia carnival, please read about random engine shutdown. It couldn't be fixed after several trips to dealership and traded for a sienna. Never kia again

how the hell is a minivan better than an suv?? it’s usually slower due to smaller engine, and large suvs can be even larger (even in terms of length) than a minivan. to sum up, an suv can be more powerful, more luxurious, bigger, more comfortable, and pretty much better in every way. I drive a 2012 GL450 and it’s just as big as a normal minivan, AND it has a V8.
