Must admit, being an owner of three previous models - Kia have always upped the game on the Carnival/Sedona/Carnival including this latest facelifted version. I like the light as is - not become a Christmas tree on the road😂. Not too obsessed with AWD my V6 is more than capable through gravel/muddy roads in my rural hometown, hybrid wouldn't work there either. Perfect family car 👌
My only real gripe with the exterior is the hearse looking C pillar and the sliding door tracks still not integrated and hidden into the design like the Odyssey.
Unless i'm not seeing it. I wish they would have done two things. Add a physical button/s for the radio instead of doing it via the screen. And also made an AWD option. Otherwise, gorgeous minivan. Love that bluish gray color with the satin door handles and mirror caps.
If they can only have the AWD option. Living up in the northeastern region, it is a must for me. I went to my local Kia dealership and my wife and I loved it but the lack of AWD was a no. The sales associate even said he has lost lots of customers to the sienna being that they have the AWD option and it’s a V4 hybrid.
Man thank you so much! Ive been trying to find the Kia Carnival 2025. I love the form and the back. Except the fenders on the front. It looks weird. And the interior is too small I guess. Like i feel the 2024 Carnival was better
4:36 i definitely will look at the hybrid option as my 18 Durango will avg 24 mph on the highway. The v6, not worth purchaing... comparing to the 25 Sienna and they are a hybrid and i was able to get 45mpg avg in a rented 24... very happy with it.
I think this will take a lot of sales from Toyota if Toyota continues to not have much inventory in Siennas and Kia can actually deliver enough hybrids. With kids, those giant TVS slammed next to the seats don't look like they will last long. I'd also spec the bench seat.
I am literally in the same situation. Everything about the Carnival is great with the exception of the lack of AWD option. I need it for the snow where I live. Now that this has a hybrid option it only lacks the AWD. I am going with a sienna as well.
Kinda disappointing in the lack of AWD and the hybrid powertrain is simply underwhelming. I was expecting a V6 engine paired with a decent size electric battery for at least 80 miles of autonomy.
From 2022+ Kia Carnival General Discussion Forum : I just got the 2023 SX Prestige but there has been some rattling noise when I driver on the bumpy road/ uneven surfaced road. I have this also. Same (perceived) location. Can't really pinpoint location. May be in driver's door as it sometimes goes away if I open and close the door at a stop. I just got a new Kia carnival 2024 sx and am hearing the same rattling near the front side/seat belt column area on both drivers and passengers door. Yep. Same issue with me. It seems to only make the noise on the highway. But it is totally random. I’m having the same issue with my 2024 SX prestige. The noise seems to be from driver/sliding door on driver side. I have the 2024 Kia Carnival and I hear rattling noise when I drive over uneven roads/pavement coming from the rear of the vehicle. Got our 2023 SX Prestige last week and from the first mile itself, I could hear some clunking noise from the back when I go over bad patches of road/speed bumps. did anyone had same problem as mine... squeaking / creaking sound from dashboard when drive on uneven / bumpy road... Yes! Got our car on Oct 22, 2022. It’s an ex 2023. Today 10/27/2022 I started to notice. Creaking noise when I stop and go and on some slightly bumpy roads…. I don’t like it I have a kia carnival sx prestige, I have the creaking sound just whenever it wants to make the noise, I have replaced the struts and mounts, leftside lower control arm and the brakes and still the same sound, took it to kia and they charged me for 2 hours of trying to figure it out, 465.00 . I had someone tell me it sounds like 2 pieces of plastic scraping rubbing together and the noise sounds like under the driver's seat to him. I about to trade it for a dodge. I have a noise at random times on the highway. Sounds like it is coming from the lower part of the driver side door. Anyone find a fix for this, my 22 EX+ model is doing this, seems like plastic trim behind the dual screens in the noise source.
😅 greetings from oakville Ontario Canada the kia EV5 has been promised to Canada but not for the United States according to the carscoops website thanks for the presentation unfortunately I don't like minivans or multiple purpose vehicle or MPV
Bro not being happy with a front wheel drive has never heard of Canada or anywhere cold. Rear wheel is the worst for any kind of cold or wet weather if you like staying on the road
No, I hate those rims. Looks like it's been driven through a tar pit. I'm seriously considering buying a Carnival, but the dealer will have to put chrome rims on it. 👍
Exactly!!! Guess there are many who like the look of the black wheels but I’d have my brushed aluminum rims (maybe a BBS style mesh) delivered to the dealer. Or have it towed home with those until I had replacements. Wouldn’t be caught dead driving either those ugly wheels. :)
Wtf is with the stupid fin thing behind the door. First thing I would just want it colour matched… why do all these minivan makers think they can disguise it with some gimmick, like that hideous Honda lightning bolt design
Auto manufacturers copy what styles are in at the moment, hence the thin headlights and taillights design. Also seems like boxy is the current flavor...

Thank you! I've watched several reviews of the new Carnival and this was by far the most informative.
I like the separation of light
Agreed...!!!
I was at the Chicago autoshow and love this van. I had the 22 SX and now have the 23 LXS and will be upgrading to the 25 Hybrid.
For the Carnaval to move to the #1 position on my purchase list , it has to get AWD to make it the best it can be in the snow-belt states
My only real gripe with the exterior is the hearse looking C pillar and the sliding door tracks still not integrated and hidden into the design like the Odyssey.
Great review Tom. I wish we had the 11 Passenger Kia Carnival MPV in the United States Market eventually.
Like the toyota hiace
Wow that’s cool that the rear sunroof opens too. Would love to see more of that when you get the chance to drive one.

2:06 black wheels, I'm personally over blacked out stealth vehicles.
I will wait to see what wheel options are with their trims.

"Tom wake up" 😂😮😂 Great vid again guys..awesome edits as always and way to keep us engaged 10/10 on the vid! lol I 👀 you Kia!

Impressive! Soccer Mom vans have come a long way!👍
Very nice. Interested in the price as I see the top trim Odyssey is in the low to mid 50s now. Great review Tom as always.
Tom needs a caffeine boost for an early morning presentation on the newest version of kias minivan
😂😂😂

3:59 rear gate light would have been nice to have all the way across the gate for esthetics.

Kia did it again awesome design, but it would definitely look amazing with 22 inch rims
Love this color! And black wheels.
What's the name of this color again?
Does it comes with AWD, if not, I'll go with Toyota Sienna. Love the AWD in the snow. It's a feature that determine the deciding factor.
I am literally in the same situation. Everything about the Carnival is great with the exception of the lack of AWD option. I need it for the snow where I live. Now that this has a hybrid option it only lacks the AWD. I am going with a sienna as well.
@@mohammadsaeed1321AWD is only needed for you suck at driving. Winter tires but FWD is better than AWD with all seasons,
I like the calligraphy.... my next vehicle!
I just picked up one of these bad boys. I’ll be taking a nap just like that at work.
Did Kia do away with the rear amber turn signal? I really dislike red turn signals.
The light most definitely should have ran all the way across. But it looks good.🎉
If they would make it AWD. I would love to get one

The hybrid will be released soon.
Yeah honestly I’ve been considering this a lot but I haven’t pulled the trigger on buying it because of the no awd.
You will probably complain it’s too expensive when they add awd and hybrid.
@@rka1916Price is determined by competition and sienna already set that to $60,000
💯
possible test on road ?
If I can get my hands on another, yes. I could not test drive this one because it was on display at an indoor auto show.
Front looks good
Release date?
Kia has not given a specific date but has said the release will be during the fall of 2024.
@@VehicleVisionarydefinitely will take a look as a replacement vehicle for my 18 Durango...

Only If it had AWD 😢
Why didn't they finish the back lights? Lol. Looks like they are broken. The lights should connect. Do we know why kia did that?
A 1.6 liter engine on the hybrid version seems like a toy.
My old one seats 8, comfortably....too bad sacrificing looks for use.
Nice I love it already
No AWD is a hard pass for me. What was Kia thinking? Could have won a huge portion of this market.
How much price Sir
Top will be 50 000 easy
Is this a Van or Suv?

Looks great
Wow, KIA straight-up ripped-off the front head lights of the 2024 Cadillac XT4, and the rear tail lights of the Hongqi H9.
Back seats have features but no real space like other brands to walk through to the third row seats
really beautiful car

Agree.
Plus hide the door track.

Hello sir
that side window plastic trim is horrible
Je veux cette voiture et je n'ai pas d'argent. Qui peut m'aider ?
😂😂
The lights all the way across are Hyundai signatures, maybe that's why Kia don't do them.

Not loving that silver piece on the window. Seems out of place

As a Canadian, AWD is not needed
