We just test-drove a 2022 SX, and were both blown away. Compared to the Pacifica, Odyssey, and Sienna this is hands down the best minivan on the market.
The biggest difference, and where Hyundai/Kia kills everyone else, is that warranty. I think Pacifica is still 3yr/36k full, 5yr/60k powertrain, and 100k battery if you get the hybrid? That's garbage. If you can't promise your car will make it more than 36k miles without breaking, that's a real sign of your future. The Carnival looks least like a minivan which makes it popular too.
I've got the '18 Pacifica and is truly a solid beautiful van and would even get a '23 but I'm really liking this Carnival and YES the 5yr-60mi 10yr-100kmi powertrain is soooo enticing...Quick note if you buy a used Kia all 2nd and after owners the power train drops to the remainder of 5yr-60mi so maybe makes sense to buy new..
Went to the local Kia dealership intending to get a Telluride and the salesman suggested we check out the carnival. I thought the name was way too funny and whimsical to be a vehicle that I would actually be interested in, but you really can't judge a book by its cover. This car is amazing and I'm so glad we got it. My husband got a 22 EV6 and they're both really fun vehicles with so many features. I don't even feel like I have a minivan 😆❤️

You should have showed the "Passenger View" feature in the infotainment system. It shows a view of the 2nd and 3rd rows so you can see what people are doing in the back without having to turn around.

Seriously considered one last year, but the $10k dealer markup killed it. At the same time a Toyota dealership less than a mile away was seliing Siennas at MSRP.

I really like this vehicle. Compared to Carnival, Honda Odyssey feels like a car from 1990s (I mean, at least interior design). But I would like to see a Carnival with a 8 seater option in the highest trim. I like all the features, but the ‘VIP lounge seats’. This VIP seats are too bulky and make hard for kids/adults to access the 3rd row.
I agree with your comments about the VIP lounge seats in the highest trim and this was an issue with the 2022 model. However, the 2023 Carnival SX Prestige trim comes standard with the 8 seat configuration. The VIP lounge seats are a free option. Regardless, this was a change from the 2022 SX Prestige trim which only came with the VIP lounge seats. Also, the rear seat entertainment system is an option in the 2023 model.

Why show the prestige when they’re not available. The 2022 model is also rare. Maybe by fall inventory will improve.

Every van has to have AWD and totally flat-stow seats. Affordability- $ 25K for the basic, 30K mid trim and 40K for all options included. Life time manufacturer bumper to bumper warranty for original owner. This is the kind of product that American families need. Otherwise get all that sh-it outta here
