I was about to say this! It’s obvious Audrey’s mom doesn’t question her daughter’s behavior at all.
Wait... the stolen bento box was packed? Did the 6 year old pack it? Or on top of everything else, the adults in the kid's lives saw the bento box, washed it, repacked it, and never once questioned the appearance of a mysterious bento box with a name in it?
As ridiculous as it sounds, I know parents like this exist because my aunt is one of them. I saw my young cousin bothering a kid who was eating something over and over because she wanted some and wasn’t listening when he said no. I mentioned it to my aunt that she wouldn’t leave the kid alone and her exact words were ‘there’s nothing wrong with her asking.’ Like, no shit, but she also needs to learn to respect a no. She would 100% look the other way whenever her little princess slipped something that belonged to someone else and find a way to justify it to herself. Some parents are just lazy and unempathetic to anyone who isn’t their kid.
Honestly, the mother had to put food in that bento box so she would have known it wasn’t her daughters and where was the mom whenever they were doing all this getting the lunch back they should’ve called her in right to be honest I would’ve dumped the food also

For the lunch 1) who is Audrey’s mom to be packing her lunch in a lunchbox that isn’t hers??? and 2) NTA, OP’s daughter can be bullied and nothing happens, they even support the bully. But when OP retaliates it’s a problem?? She even gave them time to find another container for the bully’s lunch
This vacation story is either fake or the wife is so naive for trusting her penny pinching husband. Why would the ticket prices go DOWN as the flight date gets CLOSER, making the demand go UP? He either did not want to go on the vacation, so he lied, or he's an incompetent loser. Who would want to be married to that?
The lunch box story is so crazy that everyone in the story is siding with the theif child. The lunch box could be $5 or $50, you should still teach kids that stealing is wrong and give the box back.
As ridiculous as it sounds my mom annually does exactly that and then complains when the plane ticket is expensive. Both my father and I tell her “if you wait it’ll be more expensive” and she never listens because “it happened once before”.

Sooo for the mom throwing out the kids lunch box I feel like the bully’s mom is also a problem, her child literally brought the box home with another child’s name engraved in it and the mom just packed the lunch and sent her off to school like she did nothing wrong.
The hamburger as it exist today isn't the same as the "Hamburg style sandwich" from Germany. Hamburg style is closer to a Rueben style than and American hamburger. It was basically a cheaper way for people who wanted shaved meat sandwiches to have them. Americans didn't want to take the time to shave the meat so they just chopped it up, fried it and put it on bread. The original name for the US Hamburger was actually the "Hamburg-ish style sandwich."

About the story about the stolen Bento box, I have some questions. How did the bully take the box home get a lunch prepared and no one in that household was questioning her about where this new lunchbox came from I mean I guess she could’ve lied I guess. I’m not a parent, but I am an aunt, and if my niece had come home with a new lunchbox, I would’ve opened it up and inspected it because I would be curious if why there’s a new lunchbox and if I saw that girls name then I’d be like OK who is this person? Why do you have her lunchbox? It’s just weird to me like if I had anything on me or with me that my mom knew she didn’t buy for me. She would ask me where I got it from. I highly doubt that that six-year-old was making her own lunches for herself, so who’s putting food in this lunchbox that obviously not a box of that girl owned.
I can only think of three ways. Probably something as simple as a"a girl in my class said she wanted to be friends, and to prove it she gave me her old lunchbox. Isn't it cool?" (I said lunchbox since Im sure Audrey wouldn't know it's called a bento). Or maybe they have a personal chef who doesn't get paid enough to ask questions. Or, Audrey's parents simply do not care and think their daughter can have anything she wants.

My mom bought my younger siblings the good lunch boxes, some of it Bento boxes. The bad responses don't indicate not being parents rather being pushovers or judgemental asses who's kids likely haven't faced those kinds of scenarios. I fought a 13yo boy for my sister when she was 8; he's 19/20 now and still runs away when he sees me coming. I'm disabled, thin and was shorter than him even when I whooped his ass 😂😂.

I am at home at 2:54am redoing my 8 year old daughters room. Making her a doll house out of 2 9 cube storage shelves because she only has 5 doll houses all ready and now needs a mansion as well. Hotel/ mansion sure, same thing. I am making my 8 year old daughter happy! She has agreed we can get rid of one of the existing doll houses. They absolutely do not equal the same amount of space….. this mansion is massive and takes up a whole wall in her room but the house she is giving up so graciously, takes up 2 1/2 feet of space. So 2 1/2 feet going out and 18 feet coming in. Makes sense right? 😂 one doll house is their home, one is a school, one is a grocery store, and the fourth is a vacation home. Now we have a massive house. Oh, did I mention…. All of this is completely necessary. So thank you for the content while I sit and lay flooring, put up wall paper, and design an 18 room doll house! She gets all these ideas from TH-cam. Like the toca boca book that took me weeks to make because some content creator made a paper doll toca boca book. You can’t buy those. They just be made! She has played with it maybe 3-4 times over the last two and a half years. I had to print the dolls and every detail for every room on cardstock, cut every item out, tape them front and back because I didn’t have laminate paper, then turn a scrap book into rooms! I love crafting so I really can’t complain. She just needs to use this doll mansion more than she used the toca boca book!

There's a lifetime movie about the second story. The husband was a pilot so he was gone a lot, and he had like 3 or 4 other families! His newest fiancee figured it out when she surprised him by buying a house down the street from one of his wives (possibly the first wife). That movie was wild!! I can't remember what it was called.
