    Lugermonger's "knives you don't hand to people" video was where I first saw this knife 3 years ago but I actually liked it. I always thought it was a real cool opening mechanism and I love the sound to this knife. It's been on my wishlist for years!
    Unfortunately there's so much red tape to the Paragon Warlock. It's a true gravity knife, it's a 4 inch blade length, it's a dagger style blade that is sharpened on both sides, and you actually need to "wrist flick" to open it...this is the knife that will get you in legal trouble should you bring it out in front of the wrong person. Would love to have this knife in the collection but the knife laws of New York (and several other states) can usually find something wrong with it that they deem illegal and you can go to jail for "excessive murder on a cardboard box." I live my life in such a way that I won't see the inside of a jail cell and the law is the primary reason why I never bought this knife.
    I'm envious that you got to handle this one but seeing this knife always reminds me of how silly knife laws can truly be. We really need to update them to be more logical in application.

    Great review. You hit it on the head. It’s a different knife. Very different, and in this world of crisp detents, bearings, CNC machined precision, and market sluttery, it’s a very welcome addition to my collection. And it’s good ol fashioned fun! It’s just. fun. I love carrying this monstrosity and all the clunky, rattly goodness. No, it’s not practical and that’s the charm.

    I currently own the Phoenix model. There is a learning and break in period. I would never hand this to a non knife person. But this has been in my edc rotation for some time. If you're on the fence about getting one. I say get one. I love this knife

  • @simplemann101
    @simplemann101 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Dreddlock is actually a fairly useful edc, if you can get used to the action. Nice tanto blade makes the knife obvious in terms of which direction to open, quality steel and deploys faster than 90% or more of my other knives. (Excluding fixed blades)

    Good information. I have always wanted a paragon but never got one for all the reasons you say. I will probably still buy one because it is cool. Price has always kept me from purchasing a knife I think is purchased for mostly its fidget factor. Cool Blade, thanks again for information

    I remember handing a friend my brand new dlc para 2 a few years back and he opened it, then proceeded to toss it into the air where it flipped a few times and landed in his hand blade side.... I never asked what he was thinking cuz i felt kinda bad about his hand, maybe he wasn't used to sharp knives, but i havnt let anyone hold my knives since. It was back when para 2s were really hard to get so in my mind when he tossed it i was like you better catch that lol.

      That sounds painful. (Painful in 2 ways) Painful to watch bcuz hoping new knife doesn't get messed up and then painful for your friend when he caught the blade.

    I used to have one of the these, a blue one over here in Australia. I unfortunately lost it when I had people over to help me move house. Do you guys know a sneaky squirrel way of being able to import another one at all? They are really difficult to get through customs and I don't want to spend that much money just for it to get confiscated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Craig.

    The shape of the taper and the smooth finish make it hard to hold on to when it's wet. It can easily slip out of my hand. It's more of a collectable than a super practical EDC.

      Talon grips bro. That's how I feel with literally any knife/handgun. If you get a talon grip sheet you can cut it to a custom shape for your self. I like the rubberized sheets for literally every knife and I like putting designs in it with an exacto

    I don’t have a Warlock, but I have a double edged Paragon Phoenix with the same opening mechanism. Once I mastered the opening technique, it became my favourite EDC and fastest deploying knife. Your technique on camera was questionable at best. It literally should fly open and closed without issue and put any clunky frame lock to shame. It also locks open like a rock. Try out a Phoenix. Maybe the geometry and mechanism are slightly different.
