    I have had the same exact experience with lock stick - if I have a little bit of lock stick, I add some permanent marker (thanks Nick) and I let her ride it out until it’s perfectly fine, on its own. It’s not that hard to add a strip of marker to the tang and to let it get perfect , and as the marker starts to wear out and spread, the steel is walls working itself into form and there’s no problem afterwards. This is where fidgeting has a very unique and important purpose and I always get excited to break a knife in and see how it feels when it’s finally in “final form.” Take care MC. Cool share I didn’t know about.

    I have the aluminum bubble inlay version auto, and just ordered a manual magnacut with white storm fat c.f. that I can't wait to get!

    So i found that if you adjust your pivot you will adjust the lock up and fix lock stick on this knife. Mine was locking up at about 50 percent i tightened the pivot and it is at about 30 percent with no stick

    I was so excited to get this knife and was majorly disappointed.. Mine had up and down blade play when locked, the manual action was pretty bad with little to no detent. And worst of all the tip of the blade was protruding from the back of the knife when closed. I could catch my finger on it and with the very little detent i could open the blade with my finger when closed. I had never returned a knife before this and this was my biggest disappointment in a knife.

    Watch out, apparently these things have a tendency to open in your pocket.

    I don’t get the complaints about the aluminum scales either. Considering tons of knives use Frn or plastic, 6061 and 7075 are more durable. If my Ar15 receivers can handle the pressures and punishment from shooting then it’s perfectly fine for knife scales.

      Exactly. Friggin engine blocks too.
      I dig aluminum. It's light weight and feels very solid at the same time. It's not expensive. I prefer it over anything other than titanium.

    I have seen a lot of problems with the detent. Or lack there of so to speak. Red Wolf EDC has a pair of jeans with some custom ventilation from a premature deployment.

  • @danielpadilla8083
    @danielpadilla8083 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    RedWolf EDC made a video warning about this knife and the soft detent that can open in someone's pocket, check out his video where he said it's kind of dangerous flaw

  • @lyodbraun

    Mine is nice but the detent has serious lash my replacement knife is the same but this one does not open as hard as my original you can flick it open with the wrist which I don’t care for… selling mine it’s brand new…

  • @Ughthisagain

    It’s a big boy. I got mine last weekish Hits like pro tech but it’s not very smooth on the manual operation. Also my renegade gungnir BIG boy just showed up all ready for zombie apocalypse tho both these will probably go up for forum sale as I realistically have no use for these bigins. Any takers? MC this channel is hell on my wallet but super fun.

    • @metal_complex
      @metal_complex  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I own one. It's a titanium auto sng. Aluminum is less expensive. There is probably something happening with impact upon deployment that might make aluminum better but I don't know

      @@metal_complex Harder to machine the titanium scales a mill that does alumnium can do 30 scales a day a titanium one can do maybe 4? Plus on an auto you have to mill so much stuff such as: the spring area and then a hole for the actuator. It’s just easier to do Alumnium in the long run.
