  • I love Chick fil a lemonade but for almost $4 a cup I make my own. Make it regular or diet and both taste amazing.
    Lemonade
    1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1 1/2 cups sugar or 24 Splenda packs
    5 cups of water
Stir together the lemon juice and sugar or Splenda until it is dissolved. Add water and serve over ice.
    Perfect for the warm weather!

Yum! 😊 I feel like Americans really live their lemonade. We drink it as well, but I feel like it really is a part of your culture. Having an authentic recipe is fantastic. Thanks, Ali! In our restaurants in Canada 🇨🇦 we usually have iced tea. Which is completely different from Sweet tea.

In California I grew up on iced tea not sweet. If you ask for tea in a restaurant it isn’t sweet. We moved to the south and it is all sweet tea here.

I grew up on iced sweet tea being from florida. I'm talking 2 cups of sugar for 1 gal.of tea. I cut it back to 1 1/2 cups , then to 1 1/2 cups of splenda as i became insulin resistant in my 40's. I use splenda for my coffee, tea, etc now.

A great diet drink is a tea made of 1/2cup of both lemon juice and sugar EACH and 2 bags of chamomile and 2 black tea EACH in a stock pot with 7-8 quarts of water and heat to just about ready to boil AND POUR into very clean jars and seal .. DRINK 3-4 jars EACH day for 6 months .. after 3 months will see results of loss of 2-4 pounds daily for a while .
The loss plateaus after 6 months of doing so ..Drink other fluids and eat normally and go on your usual daily way... This is what I used to get rid of inflammation issue .. eventually weight will come back .. But can be done again and very inexpensively a year later...

Have you ever tried using the lemon peel, it should be organic lemons or limes and put them in the sugar and leave an hour or so, then make it the same as you did, the taste is the best I have ever had

I can't use Splenda, but I have to be no or very low sugar. Have you ever tried Monkfruit as a sugar substitute? I use the Lakonto brand which is available at Walmart or their own website and a lot of grocery stores carry it right with the regular sugar. Bit more expensive but doesn't have that artificial sweetener aftertaste.

Splenda is horrible for me. Don't have to be told that whatever I am eating/drinking contains Splenda as when I do, 'lights' in my brain start. I'll try other substitute sugar instead of Splenda.

Try Monkfruit it is all natural y doesn't give me any of the same problem I used to get from Splenda.

@@HeidiLilley I make sure I do not get the one that has erythritol. Erythritol did a job with my BP (I tried it 2 times, 2 different days, and it did the same thing). BP went higher than 200. I thought I was going to die. So, another item I have to add to my list when reading ingredients' label.

I know! I’m trying to get rid of it. I’ve tried other stuff and haven’t found a good sub that I like. It’s about compromise. I eat good stuff to make up for it 😂
