The two main reasons it's called Clint Eastwood is because the main sample is the theme from The Good the Bad and the Ugly, and also there are plenty of references and puns about other Clint Eastwood movies and quotes "Sunshine in a Bag" = "Pocketful of Sunshine"

Well, the creators of powerpuff girls are friends with the creator of gorillaz, one time 2-D had Mojo Jojo on his t-shirt. And ace from powerpuff girls replaced Murdoc when Murdoc was in jail.
@@stellanboi I loved them growing up, but wasn't really following them when Murdock went to jail. I saw something on Reddit about Ace joining, and I didn't believe it at first. I was sure it was someone trolling. I love the silly shit they do with their backstory on top of dropping bangers.
They are a two people in real life but just imagine a real and that turned into cartoon characters. They have their own personalities and stories. The music videos are actually in chronical order of how they've aged and evolved. I loved them growing up and followed the story line.
It's called Clint Eastwood because the intro and outro (on the non-music video version) sound like Clint Eastwood's movie "the good, the bad, and the ugly" cowboy movie theme.
The rapper is Del the Funky Homosapien, but De La Soul are featured on 'Feel Good Inc' by Gorillaz. REACT TO GORILLAZ - 'STYLO' NEXT - brilliant video! or 'Feel Good Inc' or 'Dare' or any tunes other comments have listed 👍 Gorillaz are a trip - their whole concept - even their 1st concerts were animated projections! They're UK based and even we didn't know who the band members were for a while. Most of their stuff is chilled, funk, trip hop, rap/rock, but their videos are always second level and SOOOO creative. The main singer is Damon Albarn from a band called 'Blur' that were big in the 90's as part of the 'BritPop' scene. He was the only permanent member of Gorillaz with other members coming and going and loads of guest artists. Check out them at Glastonbury when Snoop comes out and raps on Clint Eastwood - audience members mind blown!🤯🤣 (traditionally intoxicated on whatever to make 'em 'Feel Good') DISCLAIMER: Snoop's still on my naughty step for being shitty about Em! 😠 Not cool.
A guy with beats had a friend that could draw and they drew the band for music videos and performances. They loved having guests and the cartoon characters actually have stories. Here russel's hat was possessed and rapping about "let me out of my cage" etc. The Gorillas even did the Thriller dance in the graveyard. The graveyard and "harmonica" resemble a Clint Eastwood western.

ur correct, the animation was made during the golden age of Cartoon Network shows like Powerpuff girls, Samurai Jack etc. etc. late 90s - early 2000s the animator is even good friends with the creator of Powerpuff Girls

The rapper is Teren Delvon Jones aka Del the Funky Homosapien. He is a fantastic rapper/hip hop artist. He is also part of a supergroup named Deltron 3030 which has him, producer Dan the Automater and DJ Kid Koala. On that album of the same name as the group, is the song 3030, which has the coolest scheme, beat and rap. Definitely worth checking out.
If you enjoy raps of a mystical, intellectual level I would also suggest you check out the artist Akbar, in particular the album Big Bang Boogie. It's an underground album from 2001 that didn't really go mainstream but has several tracks of utter awesome. Definitely slept on. Great reaction as always by the by!

The song is called Clint Eastwood because the chorus at the beggining have similarities with Ennio Morricone's music to THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY, a pretty famous western movie where Clint Eastwood performs

The cartoonist Jamie Hewlett and the cartoonist of Powerpuff Girls are actually good friends. Such good friends that Ace from the Gang Green Gang played bass for the band for an album while the usual bass player Murdoc was in jail. "Tank Girl" was Jamie's main claim to fame before Gorillaz.
OkAy- gorillaz is a completely fictional band! The reason the lead singer has black holes for eyes is because the creepy green guy decided to ram his car into 2-ds eyes. The blue guy is Del the ghost rapper, possessing his friend Russell after they died in a shooting. Noodle got mailed in a fed-ex crate. And now their a band of gorillaz

Yep, Gorillaz is an animated band. I mean, we know who are artists behind the songs but they just come together to do some colab work out of their mainstream stuff and get folks to animate them as characters so if one member drops out they can be replaced and reprise the animated role.
