Can't argue there
I saw their first tour with this album. All you could see of the band members was their shadows behind a screen that was continually showing the virtual cartoon band. I believe at the time I had heard that Tina Weymouth of the Talking Heads was playing bass on that tour.

This entire song is built around a built in programmed song on a keyboard Damon owned...legend!! Also Del is Ice Cube's cousin...also legend!! 🤟👏 Transplants - any song!
I always though Del's lyrics were more about music, it certainly has some drug references but i always saw that as music being drug like. However we all get something different from music so we all will see things different. At the end of the day it could be about drugs using music metaphors or about music with drug metaphors, maybe both.
"Sunshine in a bag" is slang for sniffing glue so it wouldn't surprise me if it was drug references.
@@trippydrew8492 didn't The Good, The Bad and The Ugly refer to sunshine in a bag as Gold in a saddlebag?
I think the song is about 'blue-collar grit'; not happy, but just glad with self, guile and determination, independence, and a mindset that the negatives in life are just mental blocks... Hard to put across in so many words, but, a 'Clint Eastwood' attitude towards life...
Gorillaz are good, but I'm a huge Del fan... 😆... "If You Must", "Positive Contact (from Deltron)", "No Need For Alarm", "Sleeping On My Couch", and of course, "MistaDobalina"... Ice Cube's nephew or cousin (I'm forgetting), been rapping as part of HieroGlyphics Crew since early 90/when he was 14... Anything by him is gold...

😂 I paid a months Rent to see what they actually looked like at Madison Square Garden 😳 and realized I knew 1/2 the band! 🤗 Since then, I've seen them every time they play NYC 🤔 and a few times in Jersey! 🤯 One time "the band" was Big Audio Dynamite (😏 basically the CLASH) who I saw 2 days before with P.I.L. (Sex Pistol singer John Lyndon) at Roseland! 🤗 Backstage every sentence begin 😄 "I didn't know you was down with Gorillaz?!?" 😂🐰
