- Hey guys! In this video, I am going to share my experience of using the tab s9 so far. This video is going to mainly be positive because I have been enjoying the tablet and it has become my favorite device so expect some good comments about it. This device has gotten such a huge upgrade compared to the Tab S8 and I have zero regrets choosing this device as my main tablet for this year.
I hope this video was better than my previous ones! I am really trying to improve the quality of this video. I also apologize if I am kind of awkward on camera and obviously reading from a script HAHA I’m not used to it and I am trying my best to get better at making these head-talking videos because it feels more personal as a friend giving you all some advice and experiences instead of just some random guy behind the camera.

Is 11 inches enough?
i am using s9 ..but one problem.. while sleeping i am not able to use tablet.. screen getting locked again n again.. any special function need to set up for using tablet lying on bed??
Did you get the 128 or 256GB?
@@karankapoor388 thats odd? I have never heard of a feature that locks the tablet in bed? do you have a case that interferes with the sleep function of the device?

I just bought this, 256gb model, not the FE, for 300€ (19,000php) in europe with a very good offer and cashback. With a free cover keyboard from samsung as well. Couldn't be happier
I was torn between the base and the plus. I use it mostly to read music with a foot pedal. The $200 difference pushed me toward the 11" unit. With the Amoled display I can easily read music on the smaller display. Win! I was also concerned about traveling and wanted the smaller form factor. I pre-ordered it and got the RAM upgrade so I am totally happy with this unit. I popped-in a 512 Gb SD card and I have lots of room for my music, books and other files.

Great overview. Like you, I have the Tab S9 and also use Dex on an external monitor. Very useful.
Right! I feel like tablets are getting pretty close to becoming really good hybrid devices! Some lack of apps that I still need a physical computer for but its getting there!

I got the S9 2 days ago and it comes with so many fun things with the ecosystem or even windows laptop with the tablet. This explanation was great and it is my first Samsung tablet and it blows me away that all its features fit into such a thin tablet and beautiful display.

Very clear and concise review! I would love to see your review of the accessories. I got my S9 in early Aug and I think I still haven't maximized it yet. It is heavy so I tend to leave it at home. My main questions now are: 1. Do you need a screen protector? I got a paperlike screen protector to take out the glare and it's ok but I'm not sure if it's taking away the amoled display benefits since it became matte. The Samsung guy just told me I need to have a screen protector of some sort. 2. What app can you reco for notetaking and planning? 3. What case can you reco that can do both portrait and landscape mode? I have the same cover as yours but now if I put mine on, the paperlike screen protector I have bubbles. My options now are to take off the screen protector and use that el cheapo smart book cover, or keep the screen protector and buy the ridiculously expensive Samsung smart book cover, or maybe just take off the screen protector. Help!
hello! in regards to your questions:
1. Yes I do recommend a screen protector, The tablet does have a strong screen but I would still keep one because it adds more protection and I don't have to be TOO careful when handling it. It also still can get scratched so at least this way you can always change the screen protector for very cheap, instead of paying a hefty amount to replace the screen itself. The paperlike screen protector is very nice for not taking but I don't think it is necessary because the Spen already feels close to writing on paper because it has a soft tip. The matte definitely adds a bit of blur to the clarity of the device,
2. I recommend Samsung Notes or Good Notes!!! Those are really good.
3. There are definitely good 3rd party cases. Mine right now and the one you have are super good because it can do both landscape and portrait. Right now actually I am using the keyboard slim cover case because I need to type more recently. But maybe another 3rd party case will do? If you want to spend a little more I know SPIGEN has good quality cases.
In my honest opinion If I was in your place I would change the screen protector to a normal one and keep the case. I hope this helps!

Great video. Very comprehensive and informative. Would you please recommend bluetooth and mouse combos for this tablet that will connect to two other devices.
Definitely either the Logitech MX Keys Mini or the Logitech K380 (more budget option) it can connect to multiple devices and it is light and thin so easily portable. The K380 is often sold with Logitechs pebble mouse!

Hi! thank you so much for subscribing!!! I am using a custom built PC right now. I currently don't have a laptop because I am purely using the tab S9 (video coming real soon). But if I could I would want to try the Samsung Laptop but I dont think it is available where I am sadly.
This video is one of the most detailed review in terms of experience. I hope you can upload the Dex experience as well. I'm thinking about getting the Tab S9 since my girlfriend uses her Tab S8 to watch movies and take notes in her class, but the size was a big problem for me I like small phones but a tablet needs to be bigger. Besides the TFT display was awful in the Tab S8 but the portability is very important too so Tab S9+ was the one but is not available in my country. This video change my mind about the size and experience so Tab S9 is the one now.
Hey man! Thank you so much for this comment!!! Dont worry I was there too. I had the beast of an s8 ultra. But man that thing could barely fit anywhere. The seats at school could barely accomodate it as well. Go check a physical unit of the s9 out at a tech store! it could very much help give you a real life experience of the tablet!

Amazing video! I think the review was spot on. I also liked your B-Shots, they definitely look "proffessional", like ones from TH-camrs like MKBHD, which is a good thing :P. One thing I'd do to maybe slightly enhance the video is to add TH-cam chapters, it'll make it easier for people who are looking at a specific aspect of the device (like me) to find that section in your review easier.
I have a question though. How was your experience switching to this? You said you had an S8 Ultra before. How did the switch from a really large screen to a small screen feel like? And how long did it take you to get used to it? I currently have a Tab S7+ and I'm wondering if this might be too small for me. I did go to a store to check the size but I still couldn't decide. I'm looking to upgrade to either a base or Plus model of the S9 series.

The switch was effortless for me, I think its because I started getting annoyed using the s8 Ultra and I couldnt wait to switch to the smaller screen which made switching even easier. I think you need to look at where you usually use the device. If you think youa re going to use it more table top and not really anywhere else then the plus or ultra should be fine but if you are going to be taking the device around places and using it in different environments and areas then the base has been super good at that for me. I am actually on vacation right now and I am able to use this thing everywhere!!
@@Sancheezy8 I plan on sometimes taking it with me on road trips, but I also plan on using it at home. Maybe I should go for the plus again? A lot of people say that the base model is the perfect size this year but i'm not sure. i dont think i've had many issues with the portability of the s7+, though. should i go for the plus again?
@@Sancheezy8 oh by the way I have another question, so basically when I was writing on the tab s7+, there was some space behind the screen and the screen would bend a tiny bit. Is that empty space and bending thing still there?
@@merbudd actually if thats the case and you dont have portability issues then in your case, definitely get the plus. I feel like you would appreciate that model more!

Hi! The case I am using is just a cheap unbranded 3rd party case and I do recommend it! I have the link in my description if you are interested. If you aren't in the Philippines I am sure there are versions of this case available in other countries, I have seen them quite a bit on other reviewers' channels. However now I switched to the Samsung slim keyboard cover because I need to be typing more now.

Hey man I had no problems like that! But i searched your problem some people are experiencing it on diff devices. They just uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again. Maybe that could work?

I am debating between the Galaxy Tab S9 or the iPad Air 5th gen as a student for note taking and light work, which one do you think is the better choice?
Hmm for me personally, If i was going to use it for lightwork and note taking with still a little bit of versatility, I would go with the Ipad Air 5th gen, its also the most budget option among the 2. However if you think you are going to need a lot of processing power and multi tasking optiond then tab s9 all the way. Of course get one that matches your phone for the ecosystem.
Also see which pen feels more comfortable. I was initially going to get an Ipad, but I felt that the S pen felt better to write with. i went with Samsung and really enjoy it. Multi tasking notes while looking at lecture videos and eBooks is very convenient

I want a tab that can last at least 5 yrs without any lag and can still run intense gaming after 5 yrs....The only reason im not buying ipad pro blindly cuz its dosen't have amoled screen and that good multitasking and dex support....So i just wanna ask can s9 still give good performance till 5 yrs ..
@@RealPlatoishere I think if you are looking for something that can do really intense gaming maybe you will want the s9 ultra for the higher RAM and bigger screen. I am not sure about the performance 5 years from now but from what I am experiencing right now with the tab s9 I think this tablet can last me a long time.

Hello from what I have seen, The audio quality between the 2 are more or less the same. But I wanna state that I am not an audiophile at all so I just like the way it sounds, I am nowhere near an expert on audio quality. But they have improved and sound better than the S8 series!

How about watching Netflix how many hours you can watch marathon movies? Is it worth it to transfer bigger files like 2tb of files it is fast enough? It can really substitute the laptop but in portable powerful device?
Hello! I had no problems with binge watching on netflix! I have not done scientific testing but I did fall asleep to watching a series for 5 hours and I woke up and I still had 78% battery from 100%
In regards to files I have not transferred any files that were 2tb but I have transferred big 4k videos from my camera with no problem at all!
So glad they made the base S9 AMOLED! That's what pushed me toward the "plus" last year. Samsung has plenty of affordable tablets with junky screens, the S-series should all be Super AMOLED like this.

imo. it depends on your ecosystem but M2 Ipad pro for pro apps and app optimization while Tab S9 for versatility but still has a powerfull chip

hey man well I would suggest you look at your routines both are pretty portable but if you really need something extra portable then I would suggest the s9 but if dont really move around that much then the plus should be a good option

If I were in your situation definitely the tab S9 because for that price difference, you get the pen with the device. You can use that extra $50 for other accessories! But of course, I always say consider your ecosystem. What ecosystem are you currently in? Apple or Samsung. Unless you don't care about the ecosystem then definitely Tab S9

Hi really like review. I just have a question which may sound dumb to most of the people. Basically I'm a digital marketer and i run lots of google and fb ads, plus social media management, excel, little bit of video edits and a lot of research. Most of the time I'm out on trip with my friends. So can Tab s9 8/128 variant (don't want plus or ultra my pocket won't allow me) replace my laptop while I'm out on a trip just for a day or two? And i do have powerbank. Plz reply thanks a lot and all the very best for future❤❤
Hi! Definitely not a dumb question at all!!! I am actually studying to become in marketing as well! And I believe it depends on what apps you use? For my internship to make marketing promotions and posters we used Canva and I was able to do it all on my tab s9. Simple video editing for social media as well, I did it all on the tab s9. I am actually working on a video right now on how I was able to use the tab s9 for school, work, and entertainment in more depth. The tab s9 can definitely last a whole day but I would still recommend bringing a charger along with you, a power bank should be fine. But for a really heavy workload the tab s9 may need to be charged or have a bigger power bank of more than 10,000mah

Hello! it really is, In my opinion 11 inches is the sweet spot for tablet size. And I'm using a 3rd party one, I got an official free keyboard book cover when I ordered my tab s9 but it hasn't arrived yet. Its taking quite awhile 😅

@@workspace-gi4pwyeah I am still waiting for that keyboard cover. I would say this cheap case is pretty worth the value considering how cheap it was. It has dedicated storage for the S Pen and all around coverage.

Anyone experiencing touch sensitivity issues with the S9+? Mine is way too sensitive, it detects my finger a 0.5mm above the screen wich is really annoying while scrolling and I've seen some people in reddit with the exact same problem

Hi! well some things I think you need to get from day 1 is a screen protector and if you plan on using it in a hybrid setup like a laptop, a keyboard case would be beneficial. of course it will also still work with any bluetooth keyboard.

I'm looking at getting a tablet but im split between the s9 or the s8. The s9 costs 7500dkk without any accessories while i can buy the s8 for 5000dkk with all the accessories. Which one do you think is worth it?
hmm I would suggest saving a bit more money to get the Tab S9 with some accessories because the Tab S8 is definitely a good device but it lacks so many of the features the other versions have. You might not even enjoy entertainment like watching movies and videos on the Tab S8 because it still has an LCD screen. Also if you are going to take notes, the tab s8 has a higher latency with the S pen than any of the other versions including the S9 line up.

I have the regular s23 and i debating between iPad Pro m2 or the s9 I used the iPad Pro m2 and the s8 for few month but I don’t get nice experience on the tab s8 in gaming notice “ my use for it is for gaming, editing ,… I definitely prefer the iPad Pro since it is stronger but i can’t do many things on it because of “iPad os “ but in the other way if I get the s9 I will get the ecosystem
hmmm... The Ipad pro is definitely on top if you are going to need pro apps. But the tab s9 has some access to VERY FEW pro apps now like Lumafusion for editing videos and lightroom for photos. But the Ipad definitely is good for gaming. So far the tab s9 has also been good for gaming especially with XBOX game pass.
The S9 is more powerful than the S8 and can handle anything. Get the S9 being that u have an S23
@tevii3514 the bad experience in gaming on tab s8 is not because it is not powerful but it has an low resolution problem in cod mobile and low responsive screen when playing cod mobile

its a very very slight weight difference. IMO it makes no difference at all. I used to have the tab s8 ultra so coming from that was a big shock in a good way. I really love how easy it is to carry this around

What do you think about S9+? It is not as big as the ultra but has more screen than the S9. I am torned between the two.
I honestly would have gotten the s9+ but for me 11inches is really the best size for a tablet mixing portability and power.

The weight difference is really noticeable. To the point that the s9+ might turn unconfortable to hold after some period of time.

I continue to be annoyed that apps like Facebook, Instagram and a few others work so poorly on Android. Love tab s9 in spite of that. I also have a 12.9 iPad pro but it's too big to carry
agreed for facebook the photos are wayy too large and makes scrolling though my timeline not an enjoyable experience. My work around is to open those apps on my samsung browser!

Just let the adaptive battery learn your user habits. I found that the first few weeks of using the tablet the battery drain wasnt up to my standards but after awhile of using it the battery managed to somehow become more efficient for my use case.

that depends greatly on the ecosystem you are currently in. But if I had to choose one I would go s9+ becuase you get expandable storage. Thats a feature I really like.

@wiedizon I can do calls and texts but since it's att it uses att number sync for calls uses cellphone number. Att app for txt for tablets. But I didn't really like it,plus I always have my phone, mainly got the 5g because I travel a lot and hate public wifi and my phone only has 10gb hot spot. Att tablet line 20 bucks unlimited.

The ultra and plus have worse battery life than the base s9. The s9 battery is 8400mah and the ultra 11000mah. The ultra would need a much bigger battery for its size
Im enjoying the 8400mah battery its actually really good and doesnt seem to die on me. So far since I had it, it hasnt died on me 0%

It depends on what you need it for in school like let's say for editing or working on multiple documents at the same time. But for me, I prefer the 11" version!!

Hi so far the games I have been playing on the tablet are Clash of Clans, PUBG, Cod Mobile and Asphalt. So far the gaming experience has been really good! No lag or performance issues!

Before buying a tablet, I watched almost all the available videos on TH-cam. Nobody said Dex was buggy. For example, the WhatsApp application does not fit into the field where you write the text. And you can’t see what you’re writing. Nobody said that office applications work just like a nightmare. That this tablet is not a computer replacement at all. My external drive won't connect. The light room often simply turns off. And I have the 16 GB version. Another version of light room is not like on a computer, but with greatly reduced functionality. There are still glitches. I really regret the purchase. Buying this tablet is a mistake.

I'm a heavy user, I watch a lot of 4k movies, play games, listen to high res music, watch youtube videos, SOT for pretty much most of the day and for most of the time I'm on cellular network. Which one would you recommend the S9 or the plus?!
I would recommend the S9+ over the base S9 if you really need a longer battery life. I would say if its just for 4k movies, TH-cam, and High res music then the base s9 would be fine but since you also use it for gaming then definitely the plus, the base s9 can handle gaming as well but definitely not as long as the plus. If you want to go all out though then I recommend the S9 Ultra for that guranteed all day battery life!!!

hmm well if you like multi tasking and need a lot of screen space I would go with the S9+ but for my college I have to move from one building to another a lot so I went with just the S9 for the portability! hope this helps! p.s for gaming definitely the bigger screen
