@@antigroundhogday Hi! Yes I did miss the full capabilities of an actual laptop. And since making this video, the tablet was able to get me through a whole year of college by itself but eventually I did get a laptop this year because of things like video editing, and running certain software that only works on full desktop browsers. So if you dont use apps like that then you should be good with just a tablet. However for extensions thats only available on actual laptops and browsers I believe and cant be used on tablet versions.

@RobbySanchez8 Thanks for your response. I absolutely adore the price point, weight and battery life of Android tablets, but these past few days I have spent far too much time trying to turn mobile browsers into fully fledged ones. Haha. As a result, I am sticking with x86 based processors so I can run extremely lightweight Linux distributions, such as Antix, for their low resource consumption and battery life. Also, it doesn't hurt that with the advent of these newer Snapdragon processors being able to run laptops, Intel and AMD have gotten smart and are now releasing more battery efficient processors that I can use down the line as well. I am a full-time nomad and when traveling by plane, the weight and volume of my gear is important! Thanks again and good luck in your future endeavors. 🤙

@@ruwebstyle ok that's better but not perfect. In the end I am going with a version of Linux that is low resource (antiX) as I feel like this will always be a cat and mouse game where I need the flexibility to stay one step ahead. I also would miss seeing my browser tabs.

Hi! Not really, I got through my whole college taking notes on the tab S9 and I had no issues taking notes at all. Actually I preferred the smaller size because it fit better on my table and was more comfortable to write on than when I had the S8 Ultra which was too big.

@@vancanblank I would make a detailed comparison but I dont have my android tablet anymore unfortunately!! but for my next iPad video I could mention things I liked more or liked less about the iPad compared to the Samsung Tab!

@@RobbySanchez8 Oh shoot, you sold your S9 Plus??? Sounds like I’m in trouble. My S10+ is barely over a week old, and tbh, I grabbed it on a whim just to try something different. I work virtually, and since everything I use is web-based, I figured having something like a tablet PC as backup would be handy - especially when am working remotely where the power situation’s a bit sketchy. At least I can charge a tablet with a basic power bank, or worst case work from my car lol! But srsly, if the iPad Pro had something like Samsung Dex, I wouldn’t have even thought of stepping outside the Apple bubble.

@@vancanblank Well I dont think you have anything to worry about. The only reason why I sold my tab s9 for an iPad was purely just because I wanted to try a different OS and ecosystem. Its been years since I had an iPad and I wanted to try Apple OS again. But to be honest. If I could only choose one for the rest of my life it would be the Tab S9 combined with SamsungDex, It was the best hybrid setup for me when I had it.

@@RobbySanchez8 Oh, that’s a relief. Was pretty close to selling this Samsung Tab+ (especially since the keyboard has been tough to get used to), but Samsung DeX looks really promising for what I need. It’s the one thing that’s stopping me from ditching it.

@@RobbySanchez8 I’m definitely keeping an eye out for your iPad Pro review compared to your Samsung Tab experience. I still have mine too, but honestly, it’s been downgraded to a sidekick - mostly as a 2nd screen for my MBP or for Netflix binges. Right now, I’m stuck trying to figure out how to move years of Apple notes from the cloud over to Samsung Notes because, let’s be real, Samsung Notes is miles better. If you crack the code on that, let us know! 😅

Hey I just got the 256gb version but to be honest internal memory isn't really an issue as these tablets allow for expandable external storage with a micro sd card! I had a 1TB sd card on mine before I switched to the iPad (i miss this feature btw)

I will mention though the new s10+ and s10 ultra are coming out.

@@RobbySanchez8 since i am planning to use the tablet to replace my laptop as well (i am tired of carrying a laptop everywhere), do you think 8gb of ram is enough? I will mostly use it to take notes, run a lot of tabs on chrome, make presentation and make documents.

@@RobbySanchez8 the s10+ is too big. I need something more portable, and s9 is still more affordable. Portability comes first for me, so i think 11 inch tablet like tab s9 is the most ideal size for me.

@@tomiwijaya3850 agreed as well 11inch is the perfect size for me. Well the tab s9 does have that expandable storage so I dont think you have anything to worry about. 1TB micro sd card is what I had on mine and i never even got it to fill up to half HAHA

Yep I did. The reason for the swap was because I have been using Samsung for many years now and I just wanted to try and experience a new ecosystem. And unlike more popular channels I can't have all these devices all the same time so I really have to transition and buy these gadgets slowly at a time! Thanks for asking, this was a good question!
