Samsung gadgets is really on the next level. I just purchased the Samsung tab s9 5g variant last weekend. Now I am no longer using my other mobile phone as this tablet have functions like a phone, I can call and received sms which is amazing.
I'm still currently using my Tab S7 and not gonna upgrading for a year more. The Tab can do everything I throw at it. I can even use it as an external monitor for my laptop. It has longer battery life and a much more intuitive file managing system compared to the iPad, which I also have. The fact that it has it's own sim slot means I can work as I travel and as a powerful hotspot as well.
I agree, I love the file management system of Samsung tablets, and I find it the best to maneuver through the files. Also, that's great I mean tab s7 is still receiving security updates I think all the way to Aug 2024.
For word processing, browsing the web, watching videos, sketching, playing light resource games and other light computing tasks that can be done handheld and offloaded from laptops and PCs, a tablet would suffice. But for serious and heavy computing tasks like layered photo editing, multi-tracked video editing to high video format rendering, hundred line program compiling, etc. a tablet is no match to a full blown PC or laptop’s processor power, memory, GPU and storage read/write speeds.
Those are very niche tasks. One UI is running Linux and Winlator now, so most tasks for your average everyday consumer/student are well within capability.

You brought up using it for presentations, may i know if presenter view in powerpoint works in zoom? Nice vid! And almost getting convinced on getting one😊

love this! would you mind doing a video about the hdr performance in different apps? it would really help me make a decision if i should by this tab or not
Hi! maybe I can do a short on it? I currently have a handful of projects I am working on right now and great things coming to this channel in terms of reviews for other products but maybe I can give some experience in this comment? since the tab s9 has HDR10+ in my experience the screen looks really good when watching shows, I am experiencing true blacks and am really satisfied with the color accuracy even with playing colorful games like Clash of clans or when I am making posters for classes! I hope this helps!
I have both the Slim keyboard and the keyboard case with the trackpad. The keyboard case is very heavy and the trackpad isn't consistent. I actually prefer the Slim keyboard. It is much lighter and easier to travel with. But it does have limitations.
I can see that, the slim cover is much easier to use especially on my lap for example because it is in one piece instead of 2 pieces! I am however tired of having to swap cases so I kind of want that other case so I can remove the keyboard whenever I want!
I had both and sold the slim one, the typing experience is inferior and it generally felt like a subpar accessory compared to the book cover, also I prefer to be able to detach and use it as a stand, including with another keyboard
Thank you for the video! Could you share the link of the case and the screen protector you use with the Tab S9? Thanks again, and best of luck with your school ❤
Hello! this is the link from where I got the case from shp.ee/pum7vif and the screen protector I used for my tab s9 I got it from the Samsung store where I bought my tablet!

Hi! Not really, I got through my whole college taking notes on the tab S9 and I had no issues taking notes at all. Actually I preferred the smaller size because it fit better on my table and was more comfortable to write on than when I had the S8 Ultra which was too big.
Hello! As far as I know I believe there is a problem with connecting tab s9 with android auto from what I have seen on the internet. But that is a good question and I will do personal testing!
Hi! I think as long as there is an HDMI connection then it should be possible! But I don't have access to a projector so I cant personally test it out!

Most apps do great on 8gb ram and 12gb ram well it would depend on what you're going to do on the device. 12gb ram would be good in the long run but it's not necessary. Unless you plan on doing things like heavy gaming (Genshin impact type of games) or similar. Some apps may require more ram in the future
No app or game needs or can take advantage of more than 8GB, and it's probably not going to change anytime soon as developers have to take lower end devices into account. The main advantage of 12GB is to avoid reloads of apps and web pages

@@esmecastellanos Hi! unfortunately i do not have the tab s9 anymore. I might do a video for the iPad but it should also apply for the tab s9!
@@RobbySanchez8 that would also help a lot! I have the ipad pro 11 2020 and was considering changing to the Samsung one …

Ur handsome. Stay on cam. Just got my tab s9. Love it.
well thank you! enjoy your tab s9!
I had the Tab S9 + felt like it was to big like holding laptop screen in your hands so I replaced it was Tab 9 instead
6:45 having as much screen as possible sounds nice, but my skin seem to fold over the screen causing some weird touch effects some times.
You brought up using it for presentations, may i know if presenter view in powerpoint works in zoom? Nice vid! And almost getting convinced on getting one😊
Hi! hmm so far I have only used ppt to present live while the tablet is connected to a projector and I havent presented through zoom. Ill have to experiment and try that!
@@RobbySanchez8 yes please! Ill be trading my ipad for this for sure
love this! would you mind doing a video about the hdr performance in different apps? it would really help me make a decision if i should by this tab or not
Hi! maybe I can do a short on it? I currently have a handful of projects I am working on right now and great things coming to this channel in terms of reviews for other products but maybe I can give some experience in this comment? since the tab s9 has HDR10+ in my experience the screen looks really good when watching shows, I am experiencing true blacks and am really satisfied with the color accuracy even with playing colorful games like Clash of clans or when I am making posters for classes! I hope this helps!
@@RobbySanchez8this really helped! thanks!
@@idgaf8623 No problem!
That's what I do. Use the kickstand with an iclever full sized foldable keyboard. Works fine.
Thank you for the video!
Could you share the link of the case and the screen protector you use with the Tab S9?
Thanks again, and best of luck with your school ❤
Hello! this is the link from where I got the case from shp.ee/pum7vif
and the screen protector I used for my tab s9 I got it from the Samsung store where I bought my tablet!
I understand how the s9 ultra is too big and bezel too thin , but price as not an issue would you keep the s9 vs s9 PLUS?
i would choose the s9
Nice review. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! I will!
how is university going and is it hard and frustrating? 2 years to universty!
In the Philippines and probably in general, university has been awesome. Especially if you're going to study something you are passionate about, there will definitely be some stress but now that I am almost done it all seems worth it. You got 2 more years? goodluck friend! Hope uni will be everything you hoped it would be!
Can you please tell what keyboard and mouse did you use with this tablet?
Did you swap this for an iPad? If so what was the reason for the swap?
Yep I did. The reason for the swap was because I have been using Samsung for many years now and I just wanted to try and experience a new ecosystem. And unlike more popular channels I can't have all these devices all the same time so I really have to transition and buy these gadgets slowly at a time! Thanks for asking, this was a good question!
@@RobbySanchez8Ooh I see, that’s definitely understandable! I am actually in the same situation as you but the opposite I use iOS devices and would like to try out the Samsung ecosystem haha!
@@Melodyixo HAHA thats awesome, it would be a really cool switch because tbh, i love the way samsung file manager is more than apples hehe but I do love the airdrop features.

Can youu make a video on galaxy tab s9 vs galaxy book 4 or 3
Hi! I would but unfortunately, galaxy book laptops aren't available in my country.
okkk.. Thankk youuu for replying
Very helpful, thank you 😄
I just wish the keyboards would come with a light for night use.
I'm gonna buy Tab S9 soon but it's only 8gb/128gb do you thing that's enough storage to keep up with performance? love this video btw!
yeah i would say 8gb would be okay for basic work like typing documents. but really, look towards the next upgrade. it might be much more beneficial!

Hello, does the google sheets work like it does on a laptop?
hi! for basic stuff like making spreadsheets and basic accounting like calculations and graphs definitely! but for more advanced functions like making pareto charts I havent been able to do those.
Can you use lock down browser on this?
Would you recommend this over the S9 Plus if I'm going to use split screen a lot?
Hi! If split screen is a priority then maybe the plus will be more recommended for you! The 11inch can be too small for some people.
How do i use my side bottoms on my mouse while using my tab s8
What series did you get? I wonder if the FE series would work just as fine?
I had the basic tab s9 I personally would still choose this over the FE
I got track pad keyboard case inlcuded with my s9 base
Hello any recommend s9+fe book case with keyboard?
Great video! What's the link for the case? 🙏
Where did you get the case for notes taking ?
Case is in my description!
Isn't the screen size small for note taking,I am confused between s9 and s9+ as S9 is significantly cheaper than s9+ in my country, should i go for the s9 ,will it be worth it???
Hi! Not really, I got through my whole college taking notes on the tab S9 and I had no issues taking notes at all. Actually I preferred the smaller size because it fit better on my table and was more comfortable to write on than when I had the S8 Ultra which was too big.
Did you get that tablet with a screen protector already attached on it or not? If the latter, how much did it cost you to buy and where to avail one?
hello, I had to buy one. I just bought it at the Samsung store where I got the tablet. Was around P1,000 i believe.
have you tried s9 plus on hands before buying the regular s9? I'm torn which to get.
i tried both at the store before buying but in my opinion 11inch tablets are really the most comfortable option so I went with the tab s9
looking forward to your comprehensive video about using ipad vs s9! :)@@RobbySanchez8

can we run python or c++ in tab s9?

Hi sir. Is android auto available with this base model?
Hello! As far as I know I believe there is a problem with connecting tab s9 with android auto from what I have seen on the internet. But that is a good question and I will do personal testing!
@@RobbySanchez8thank you. Will wait for your update.
Can i connect it to projector for ppt presentation??
Hi! I think as long as there is an HDMI connection then it should be possible! But I don't have access to a projector so I cant personally test it out!
I am considering to buy s9 as well. But my concern is the 128gb internal memory because it will fill up quickly. Did you get 256 or 128gb version?
Hey I just got the 256gb version but to be honest internal memory isn't really an issue as these tablets allow for expandable external storage with a micro sd card! I had a 1TB sd card on mine before I switched to the iPad (i miss this feature btw)
I will mention though the new s10+ and s10 ultra are coming out.
@@RobbySanchez8 since i am planning to use the tablet to replace my laptop as well (i am tired of carrying a laptop everywhere), do you think 8gb of ram is enough? I will mostly use it to take notes, run a lot of tabs on chrome, make presentation and make documents.
@@RobbySanchez8 the s10+ is too big. I need something more portable, and s9 is still more affordable. Portability comes first for me, so i think 11 inch tablet like tab s9 is the most ideal size for me.
@@tomiwijaya3850 agreed as well 11inch is the perfect size for me. Well the tab s9 does have that expandable storage so I dont think you have anything to worry about. 1TB micro sd card is what I had on mine and i never even got it to fill up to half HAHA
What about the pro dude?
Did you get the regular S9 or the S9 Plus?
regular s9!

Hi! no I edited this video on my computer. I intend on editing on my tab s9 only for when I want to edit a simple video when I am traveling!
I am using Tab S9Ultra and it cannot thoroughly replace a laptop, .exe files are the big problem, you can just run it on window
agreed, there are still some things that are needed to be optimized for tablets for them to completely replace a laptop but I think they are heading into the right direction!
Hi..is it worth buying S8 now as it's cheaper and one reviewer said visually S8 and S9 display output quality looks the same...is that true?
hello! tbh in my opinion the quality visually is much better on the tab s9 I did not like the tab s8 for my own experience. If I was to get an s8 I would go for the s8+ or s8ultra

4:44 that is NOT true (at least as far as I can see). There's a TON of features missing. They are so stripped down, it's almost laughable.
What version did you purchase: the Cellular or WIFI? How much lahat nagastos mo, including the other accessories, if I may ask?

One question I'm planning to use this device for atleast 3 to 4 years so should i go for 8 gb ram or 12?
Most apps do great on 8gb ram and 12gb ram well it would depend on what you're going to do on the device. 12gb ram would be good in the long run but it's not necessary. Unless you plan on doing things like heavy gaming (Genshin impact type of games) or similar. Some apps may require more ram in the future
12GB RAM is future proofing
just like what these guys have said, for future proof 12GB would be my recommendation too!
@@RobbySanchez8 Yeah, if samsung leans into AI the 12GB of gen 5 ram could be useful
No app or game needs or can take advantage of more than 8GB, and it's probably not going to change anytime soon as developers have to take lower end devices into account. The main advantage of 12GB is to avoid reloads of apps and web pages
Can I code on s9 ultra??
Hi, my workflow doesnt involve coding but I have seen other TH-camrs coding on their Tab S9's so I would say you definitely can. Probably not to the same extent as using a dedicated pc though.
