  • This golf video helps senior golfers or golfers who are less flexible learn an easy way to swing a golf club. We all don't have bodies like PGA Tour players but we would still like to learn how to hit the driver longer and improve our ball striking. Question is, how do you do it pain free.
Danny Maude has coached thousands of golfers many of them seniors or golfers that may have limitations in their movement. His passion is figuring out how to get the best out of every golfer and in this golf video he is coaching what he feels is the easiest swing in golf. He's going to share with you some of the golf tips and golf drills that have helped his students regain some of their distance but more importantly their love for the game.

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you strike a ball with an iron. If you are looking for how to hit a ball straight with an iron, or want to know how to hit the ball first with irons then these golf drills will give you much better golf ball contact so that you can strike your irons pure.
I believe they are the easiest and best golf irons drills you can use
Also get to see the golf ball contact in slow motion

Want to say publicly that it is a joy to watch a kind and humble person who realizes the privilege that it is to share the joy of the greatest game. I can tell that your joy is genuine and that you find it an honor to help people regardless of age and physical ability to find joy. I hope to one day get across the pond to meet you in person one day. Thank you for your service.

    Another brilliant, very helpful video.
Danny has realised he can get a great deal of pleasure from helping all golfers & not only
    young, gifted players.
When I was a teacher I got great satisfaction from helping less able pupils.
Like us senior golfers the children really appreciated the help which gave them confidence
as well as much better progress.
Renewed thanks to an enthusiastic ,encouraging & excellent coach.

Danny, I'm a 72 year old and my youngest son recently fell in love with golf. Over the years, I've played maybe one round a year at a golf outing of some sort. Now I'm getting serious. Late I know, but your videos are the very best. Very grateful to you. You break things down to simplicity and repeatability. Each video makes me excited to get out on the range or out on the course to work at getting better. You are a treasure. Thanks so much.

This chap is the best explainer of the golf swing process I’ve watched over the several years I’ve been flicking through endless golf videos. He just verbally simplifies the process really well with a step by step physical video instruction. Cheers Danny - I take a little portion of every video of yours onto the course twice weekly and work at it - and perseverance pays off! Next time you’re in the West Midlands Dudley area me and a couple of mates will treat you to a night out and curry 😎👍

Great video, Danny. I watched one of your earlier videos Thursday also about rotating and the throwing the club out in front of you instead of down the target line. I shared it yesterday with my 78 year old playing partner (two knee replacements) and he started hitting it 30 yards further. The smile on his face was huge. Thanks Danny for helping make golf more fun.

My big problem was, I never fully understood what was meant by "Hip-Rotation" in the golf swing. Even after various lessons from 'pro's', it was never explained clearly precisely "How" to achieve the mystical hip-rotation. Followed this advice in respect of the 'walking' sensation ... and can truthfully say, this is an absolute gem piece of advice! I'm now hitting around 80-85% straight drives, as opposed to under 50% pre-'walking' video. Thanks Danny!

I watched a couple of your videos last night. Since I live on a golf course (55+ community) I just walked out my backdoor, dropped a couple of balls in the middle of the 11th fairway, and tried to implement a few of your ideas... and it worked. Got the ball airborne more consistently and my 7-iron was going about 10 yards further. Still have a host of other issues to sort out, but consistently getting the ball in the air was a lot of fun. Who knew? 🙂

As a former tennis player, I struggled for years to get away from my service action, powerful but naturally causes massive slice spin in golf. GolfSwing more like a softball underarm pitch or sidearm sinkerball pitch. Left handed backhand actually closest cross sport analogy to my mind for the golf swing ( flat or over spin, NOT sliced). Baseball batting action or hockey slap shot also close.

Great vid. I grew up playing in the 80’s when most players were more free with their lower body. I got caught up in a lot of articles I read in the late 90’s about restricting the lower body to create “coil”. Worked ok when I was younger. 52 years old now and losing distance every year. This is a great tip for freeing up my turn. Thank you.

Front nine was my usual some good some bad.So when I got on back nine I thought let's give your swing tip a try.I don't think anyone will believe me but I never missed another drive again I was blown away! my shortest was195 yards and my longest was 235. As a senior golfer your video lessons are consistently excellent Danny. I have recurring problems of chopping down with the driver and hitting the ground behind the ball with irons. I know these turning and rotating drills will help tackle the problems.
It would be great to have in-person lessons at Canterbury. I’ll perhaps aim for this in the new year!

I just love viewing your blogs Danny as you are so joyful to watch! I have to admit I am one of those golfers who keeps their left heel grounded to create a swing like a spring gate anchorage post as I have a short back swing which I feel is easier to control, the minute I try to over swing my club head is out of position! I used to move my heels when I was younger, but not naturally, I was to aware in moving them which resulted in me slicing the ball! I am now 70 years of age and I am now hitting the ball further with a shorter backswing and I am pleased to say that I have never sliced a ball for many years - shanked yes, but never sliced! Let me know Danny if you ever do tuition classes in Scotland, as I would love to attend and to meet you! Many thanks Danny for your smiling/joyful blogs! I just think you are Fab!

Hi Danny, I've been a student of the Peak Performance Golf Swing by Don Trahan for at least 15 years and it has improved my game dramatically. I'm 66 and have several chronic injuries that prevent me from really going after the ball and I thought Don's system was as good as I could get until I ran across this lesson a few days ago. I tried the "walk" at the range a couple of days ago, and today on course and it's amazing what a difference it has made. I know I have a few more adjustments to make and need to practice it more, but it's a fantastic way to swing the club! Thank you so much for your tip and I'll be following you closely.

Spent a bit of time thinking about this one DM. And the salient point here for me as a player in my mid 50's who knocks the driver to a 235 carry 250 roll out, is the relaxed nature and fluidity of the swing. There's a lot of energy wasted in the wrong part of the swing for me, so at the weekend I adopted a much more loose swing that focused on the "swoosh" being in the right place. Minimal effort with maximum return. Get the arc sorted and the business end of the club almost sorts itself out. It sounds different, it feels different, IT FLY'S DIFFERENT! Loads of you will look at Danny's swing and no doubt, you can't understands how he gets.the distance with such a relaxed swing...... LET IT GO AND TRUST IT.

I'm 68 and have been playing 10 yrs now. Have taken lessons and have tried almost every tip i see on tv and watch here to no avail. This is the 1st time not only did your lesson look easy for me to do but I couldn't wait to try it out at the range. Almost every ball was crisp but pulled at 1st as I managed to get better timing it was right where I was aiming. The heel to heel / knee to knee is fantastic and now I finally finish on my left side. 1st time I was hoping the others at the range were watching me

@DanielMaude - Beautiful lesson, Mr. Maude. In my 20s I had a smooth swing and played to a 2 handicap. Over the years I played less and less and 23 years ago was involved in a devastating accident that shattered my right leg and ruptured discs in my neck and lower back. That put a jolting end to whatever golf game I had left. Now, many years later, I'm 77 and starting to swing the clubs again, with the obstacles of pinched nerves in my neck and back and advanced arthritis in my neck and hands. One thing I've noticed is how uncomfortable my golf swing feels as opposed to the completely natural, free swing of my youth. Occasionally I'll hit some decent shots but I've been struggling with ball contact. This video MAKES SO MUCH SENSE for older and/or "swing-challenged" golfers. I haven't had a chance to try this out yet due to severe inclement weather in our vicinity, but can't wait for things to dry up so I can take this out to the range. Thank you so much. You're the best!

    Hi Danny,
Thanks for pointing out what has escaped me all my golfing life about turning/rotating ones hips. I always thought this was a deliberate move from the hips. How wrong. Hips rotate as you make steps as if walking heel to toe from one foot to the other. Hips turn automatically as a result. Such an important insight to know so if one needs more rotation of hips in the swing get those feet moving and it will happen like magic. Never heard of this before from traditional teachers and yet this sounds and looks so fundamental to hip rotation.

I think that arc visual is such a great thing. I know that at one point in my golf swing evolution I had a very difficult time grasping that the arc has to be happening not only in the followthrough, but in the beginning of the swing, before you hit the ball. Once you get it you're like "duh man, why didn't I think of that before?". Once I had that visual in my brain, I just had to make my body do what it needed to do to accommodate the arc. That was an absolute light bulb moment because I was able to start understanding that what you do with your body in the swing is a direct result of how the club is moving through space while "attached" to your arms. It gave me a way of troubleshooting things that I didn't possess before. That was the point that my game really started to take off and I started really crushing the ball and I could just see how fast the ball was coming off the face. The main problem I had after that was figuring out which club to hit so that I wouldn't fly it over the green. Not a bad problem to have. Lol.

I’m 58 yo with sports injuries and a 30 year military career, so I can no longer swing like I use to. Shoulders, lower back and knees restrict me to the point, I wanted to quit! I’m going to the range in the morning to see if I can employ some of your lessons. These courses are so long in Florida, and I’m only driving the ball between 250 and 260. I think I’m going to be stuck with that number, but if I can swing pain free, I’ll take it!

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

250 is a great length drive and way above average so if you can stay around there distance won’t be a factor in lowering your scores

Didn't start playing until 50, very athletic through entire life but this game tested my resolve. You have helped to the point of actually enjoying getting out there and teeing off, by engaging hips & throwing the club, I have literally added 50 yards, still a little inconsistent but I will get there. Learning at 62 helps keep younger than my years, my proximity to Palm Springs gives me a great selection of courses which helps as well.
