Love your videos! I’m 75 years young and have been golfing for 40 years. I’m getting more turn now and hitting the driver on the sweet spot by choking down 1 inch. I’m also finishing the swing.
So happy to have watched this video! I'm 63 and last year took lessons from a retied LPGA professional. She told me to keep my lead foot planted. I worked on doing this the rest of the year and although I did (keep my foot planted) I noticed a reduction in my drive distance - thought it was my swing (lack of rotation). Now, after watching this, I'm eager to get back to the range, go back to my old way, and hopefully regain some of those lost distances! Thank You!
I’m new to golf and 67 years old. I took advantage of lessons through the VA and I would raise my left heel naturally. Not one of the in house professionals told me to plant it! I have a friend whom is and has been an avid golfer for 55 or 60 years, he’s pretty darn salty too. He has been after me for the last 10 years to play and after taking lessons, I did. The first thing he said was, “keep your left heel planted.” I’m glad I came across your video and I thank you!
I have just returned to hitting balls after a break of 35 years - right now I’m on the driving range trying to get back into everything again. I am 70 in a few months time but when I’m swinging I find myself imitating the way I used to swing with not great results. The pro at the course advised me to just use my arms and not my knees/hips etc, but it feels awkward for me. I naturally lift my left foot anyway - but as you describe, I tend to hit the ball too hard and force it to a longer distance. Yesterday - I tried your method and boy…it suits me so much - it is not awkward now…it feels better and my distance improved a lot. I will continue with this method and will hone it so I have better consistency. Feeling quite excited and looking forward to my first nine holes in a few months time 😊
Hope your game worked out well and really glad our philosophy sits well with you. If you haven’t already found it, it will be well worthwhile reading our founder Brian Sparks’ book Positive Impact Golf. There is also a free download of the start of the book on our website.
Excellent tip Philip on "Senior Golfers Defying Their Age With This Magic Move!" I've been playing this wonderful game now for 68 years and I have reached a stage in life where I have to redo my swing! In this video you point out how "lifting the left heal" for seniors is the answer to adding distance to their game. At one time and when I was a lot younger, I use to lift my left heal ala Nicklaus. Then, when it became popular to keep the left foot planted, I went this route and where I have been ever since. After viewing this video, I believe it is now time to revert back to my old way! Thank You Phil, this has been an eye opener! And, since I think your channel is geared more to the experienced golfer, I have become a subscriber! Well Done Philip! I'm looking forward to working with you!
John I am delighted you have found us and have subscribed. Welcome to a world away from tips and tricks, just simplicity and things that are easy to adopt. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Thanks for your info.... as i remember.... the key is to put that foot down as the start of your downswing for the weight shift...not starting down with arms....which is why i probably tried to stop using it and planting my foot... eliminating extra movement. but at 72,,, i think i need it again....Thanks again, i will give it a go on the range tomorrow.... Vince
Philip responded to a very similar comment about starting the downswing this way: Personally, I prefer to just allow that to happen as my concentration is on connecting the clubhead to my body movement without interference, but if it works for you and helps your sequencing then go ahead. Remember there are no absolutes and we often find different routes to the same conclusion. Hope this helps and good luck with your range practice, we hope you see some great results!
I am a senior golfer. I Lift my left heal off the ground driving. All that you spoke of is exactly what I work on at age 74. Trying to relax and get that free wheeling turn. Distance at my age has lost length but the dispersion is fantastic. I will take a 210-220 carry. I used to drive the ball 250 plus but I was in the woods much more frequently. Thanks for the tips.
I Like this Video, I’m 77 years young and have noticed over the pass year my drives were getting shorter so of courseI was trying to swing harder, faster, so everything fell apart. Now I tried swinging softer and bang the distance came back with less work. THANKS. 😊
Very true about left heal being raised. A lot of men looked at T.V footage and were taught by pro's who advised them to keep your left heal down because of Tiger's swing thinking that's how you get more power/distance. What it does give you is damaged knees and back.
I couldn’t agree more. Notice how few female golfers raise their lead heel is that because they are more flexible than the guys? Possibly, but another theory is that they nearly all have been coached by the guys you mention who think that a body can work like a spring. If this was the case why do ALL the long drive champions raise their heel? I am convinced these coaches have it wrong. Thanks for your comment I am delighted that this video has resonated with so many golfers who are realising there is a better (and easier) way to use our bodies to create power without strain.
One of the BEST tips ever for us older golfers!!! I like the fuller rotation, ease of swing, & less stress on my body, especially after coming off battling cancer twice. Thanks. Now if I can only remember to do it each time I tee it up lol. Haven't gained a lot of yards yet but maybe those will come the more I become comfortable with this new approach. Thanks again
Great Mark! And welcome to our channel I hope you enjoy the rest of our content and I hope you note the consistency of our message. ….We don’t do “tip of the week!”
I’m new to your channel but watched this as a senior golfer and started to raise my left heel. Awesome! Felt so much easier to swing not hit and drove the ball really well today the first time of doing this. It also improved my tempo with my irons so a result all round. Thank you so much for this and I look forward to watching more of your channel. Neil
Thanks Neil and welcome to our channel! We have lots of resources for you so I’d suggest visiting our website and signing up for our newsletter and the free e-book. This will get you started at no cost before committing to any spend. Looking forward to being with you all the way along the journey to your own Easiest Swing!
You have made my day! I always use to lift my left foot and was told not too, I could not understand why I lost distance, I have put it down to becoming "old"😹You have a new follower all the way from South Africa 🥰⛳️🏌🏻♀️
Raising the left heel automatically transfers weight to the right side. A good thing. Returning it to the ground on the downswing automatically transfers weight to the left side. Also a good thing. Never going to be hiiting it 300yds, but nonetheless, this one technique freed up my swing considerably. And relaxing, 'swinging' as opposed to 'hitting', was the icing on the cake for me. Harder to do than it sounds, but worth the effort.
Donal Joyce Galway Ireland, 81yrs old This is the best lesson I have seen for seniors, I am going to start enjoying my golf again'. Which I have not done for some time now. Keep up the good work.
Wish I'd have come across this video months ago as it would have saved me so much frustration. Not only have I driven the ball 40 yds further it has improved the ball striking with my other clubs too. Certainly the last two rounds anyway. Long may it continue 🤞🏻 I've subscribed so i can get some more little nuggets. Thankyou.
Great to have you on board! So pleased to hear about your experiences. 👍 For continued progress take a look at our website where you will see several compatible resources to help you on your journey. easiestswing.com
Excellent tips particularly about not keeping the left heal grounded while taking the club back at the start of the swing. This move also helps in upper body movement.
Thanks Phillip. There is a lot on Utube ...I really like your explanationion and the way your bring to our attention. I will checking more of your vids...Cheers

Thanks Henric glad you found us and hope you discover how our message is one of simplicity and consistency. We are well aware of how confusing YT video content can be so our message will always be that the game is easier than you think if you keep on the same simple track.
I love what you’re saying here. Perhaps the most important idea, though, is continuing to work out for strength and flexibility. Most people my age do nothing for their bodies and it shows. I’m 64 with a driver average carry of 250 yards. I stretch every single day and do 30 pushups a day. Work out… it works.
Thank you. It is absolutely true that strength and flexibility training is incredibly beneficial for maintaining our ability to swing freely, especially as we get older. Sadly, we don't always have the capacity despite the good intentions. Easiest Swing is extremely body friendly in nature and works very well even for those with reduced mobility and strength. However, with good flexibility and strength as you describe, you should see great results adopting the ES concepts.
You are right flexibility and strength are particularly helpful as we get older. Truth is though, not enough of us work on that. Thanks for your comments hopefully will inspire a few more to follow suit.
Well, i've just come across your channel and although i've yet to try any of your techniques, the way you teach them is easy for me to understand which is great 👍. I'm 60 almost 7 feet tall and haven't played golf for over two decades now, trying to keep up with my 20 year old son. Lets see how my new lessons work out thanks to you.
Hi JT I hope it goes well for you. Love the video, have been playing for a number of years but have seen the power drop off since hitting 60 years old. Will definitely be giving this a go tomorrow so will keep you informed with my findings. Thanks for the tip!!
Thanks Phil - I’ve been doing this for the last 12 months because I noticed that I was dipping my head forward too much through the backswing which resulted in early extension. It solved that and as you suggest it has also frees up the stiffness and allows an effortless follow through. Good video 👍🏌️⛳️
Fantastic! Very pleased to hear you have already been seeing the benefits of this advice. Keep up the fantastic effortless swings and enjoy easier golf! ⛳️
Cheers Phillip thanks great video very easy to understand, from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 64yrs 16hcap. My biggest problem is Sliding off the ball and Not being able to get back thru...😊
Thank you Philip, we're delighted to help and pleased it was easy enough to understand. See how you get on with this new information and let us know if it helps you get through the ball🏌️
I'm 65 and still out drive most young players. Then again I out drove most people when I was young also. Just blessed with a higher swing speed. Was measured at 121 consistently when young. Now I'm sure I've dropped to low to mid teens. When I was young I'd finish my driving range sessions just hitting it as far as I could, then wind down to easy swings to cool down. Swing speed and flexibility is the key.
Great to hear you are still outdriving most of the young players at 65! Flexibility in the senior years is certainly an advantage. For those not blessed with this ability, allowing the lead heel to lift can be a real game-changer. Keep swinging easy and blasting those drives!
I’m sixty now and I do struggle with a lack of flexibility, my driver only goes about two hundred yards. I play a lot with my son and his friends who are in their early thirties and hit the ball a lot harder than I but luckily I hit the ball a lot straighter and am in the fairway more consistently which helps even things out but as they improve and I get older this could definitely help me to continue being competitive with them so I’m going to give it a try.
As you point out, accuracy often trumps distance. However, who wouldnt turn down some easily found extra yards?! Please let us know how you get on with this and you might also want to keep this one from your son as well, it might unlock another few extra yards: th-cam.com/video/qTiTllzyOk4/w-d-xo.html
Can't wait to try it. I'm 69 and haven't played for 3 plus years and trying to get back into it hasn't been easy or pretty. On some good pops ball feels light but on others ball and driver feel heavy, doesn't go anywhere.
Welcome back to the game. You most definitely can get your game back follow our channel, sign up for our newsletter and get the first couple of chapters of our first book “Positive Impact Golf” and you will be well on your way - no gimmicks just sound sensible and simple help. If you need more than this we have all sorts of other recommendations to help you develop your game which you can find out about on our website. Wishing you great success and hope to be your support along the way.
Even as a kid my left heel came up. I think it comes from stepping into the swing in baseball. The top of my backswing has always been past parallel and all I heard was how wrong that is. At 64 I still carry just over 300 off the tee on the good drives. And you are spot on. I hit it best when it feels like it's loose with no effort so relax! Golf is suppose to be fun, not work!
Brilliant and inspiring what you say… I hope lots of others read your comments as I’m sure they will help other golfers to have the confidence to move, relax and enjoy their game and their swings!!! Thanks for posting your thoughts 👍
Brilliant stuff! If you are asked to make the most comfortable swing possible, you will often get far closer to correct than if it feels awkward. It's great to hear that you are doing what feels natural to you and having such success with it. Loose and effortless is a great way to play and having fun is absolutely essential. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Phillip for a valuable, easy to follow very helpful video. I like your relaxed, friendly way of coaching & also your thoughtful, realistic comments to subscribers comments. I have a copy of Positive Impact Golf & find it helpful. Will the new book contain mainly new information or is it an update of your tried & tested approach? When is it to be published & how much will it cost? Your brother's advice helped me play golf to suit my ability ,fitness & health. Many other professional teaching golfers failed miserably when they wanted me to try & play in a similar way to young professional golfers. I was a primary school teacher who varied my teaching to suit a wide range of ability in my primary school classes. I still see some of my ex pupils & they tell me that they enjoyed being in my class. I am 80 years old & recommend either playing a relatively short course or playing off the red tees on long courses. That enables me to avoid getting too tired & usually have a satisfactory score.
Thanks Alan we appreciate your ongoing support. Very interesting to hear about your experiences both teaching pupils and the contrast of being taught by golf teachers. The new book is going to be a few months yet. It is being edited right now but still needs to go for publishing and production. Hopefully here by Christmas? I’m not sure of the price yet but it will be similar to Positive Impact Golf. Brian had part written this new book and left me to finish it - basically it goes over much the same principles but with the added hindsight of more than a decade of coaching his theories, it details the experiences gained from his coaches and thousands of our students over the years. Hopefully, this will help you with your game to improve through your eighties!
Makes sense and was well explained. I`ll be giving it a go tomorrow. 100 extra yards seems a bit of a claim !! I hit about 210 -230. I don`t think I am going to reach 300 :-)))
When I started golfing more than 46 years ago, I learned my swing from watching the pros. During my career, especially in the early years, I made some significant changes. One change I made after a couple of years was keeping my left heel firmly on the ground. I noticed that this change significantly improved my ball striking. I'm 76 now and I've suffered a dramatic loss of distance with all my clubs. As you described, my takeaway and follow through are short and my swing is stiff and rigid. As well, I find myself hitting at the ball instead as through it. I think I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks for that.
A great way to learn is by watching good golfers and observing what they do. We advise observing the graceful and effortless golf swings as these tend to last the test of time. We are delighted to learn that you have recognised these traits we describe of short and stiff movements in your own swing. We expect you will be quite astonished at the results when you apply these relaxed and free movement concepts we advocate to your own swing. Let us know how you get on.
Good morning...I have been practicing the Easiest Swing for a week or so now (reading Brian's book also) and I can say that my ball strikes at the driving range has improved 100% and if all goes well, I'll be able to play golf with more confidence, improve my scores and start enjoying golf and not be exhausted by the 12th hole and struggle to finish my round. In this video you have what appears to be an iPhone and software indicating the swing, distance, etc....Would you please share what this is and where to purchase? Thank you for letting us seniors in on the Easiest Golf Swing secrets and for making this game enjoyable.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your Easiest Swing progress and we couldn't be happier to learn you are improving so rapidly and enjoying your golf! This is why we are here doing what we do! We used the Shot Vision App on iPhone, it works very well, requires a subscription from the apple app store but is good value. Thanks again!
It's funny that you referenced Jack Nicklaus because as I recall, it was a Jack tip that I heard of more than 50 years ago that said you should roll your foot over rather than lift it. But it's correct that lifting your foot releases the tension and leads to a much freer swing.
Nice to see, but 10 mph increase in clubhead speed would usually equate to 25 yds more carry all other things being equal, so there was definitely something else amiss with the first swing...
Absolutely, the launch angle is also a large factor in this. With the aim of keeping the video easy to understand, we wanted to focus on reducing effort and creating a larger swing. Our previous video: th-cam.com/video/qTiTllzyOk4/w-d-xo.html covers launch angle and dynamic loft in detail.
Excellent course management. Played there years back. Council have scandalously closed brackenwood and hoylake municipals locally recently. So much for the benifits of hosting the open
I will try this week and let you know. At 75 and 165lbs in my present game I concentrate on a few things 1 In back swing I make sure my shoulder touches my chin 2 i pause at the top 3 swing easy.. Result is 175 to 200 yds. Hope to write soon with better results.
Thanks for the driving tip, distance is great. I do question the carry number of the old swing at 135 yards at 91 mph. My swing at 75 mph has carry of 160 yards. 100 yard improvement at your faster speed is not likely correct but still impressive.
You're welcome and you are correct with your observation. There were many other contributing factors that caused the lack of carry distance - lower launch angle, steeper angle of attack and deceleration through impact all had a large influence. More swing speed by allowing the left heel to lift achieving more turn is just one advantage. Check out our other videos to learn more: th-cam.com/video/dK2z_UhfCew/w-d-xo.html
Wonderful video. I seem to recall some golfers of old who lifted their left heel up talked about starting the downswing by planting their left heel back onto the floor as if 'squashing a bug'. Is this a helpful thought to start the downswing, from your point of view, or do you feel this can inhibit the feeling of 'turning through' to a finish? We are all searching for the 'holy grail' feel of starting the downswing and wondered if you had thoughts on that swing feeling?
Personally I’m not keen on movements like this that are independent of the swinging motion. Personally like to just stay as relaxed as possible and feel the clubhead swing as naturally with the least interference possible. For me the problem with that concept of squashing a bug is that it is too independent of the swinging motion and to me will lead to a disconnection of movement. Having said, that if it works for some players and helps them to sequence their moves better then go with it! Remember there are no absolutes in this game and we often find different paths to the same result.
Thank you for your continued support Chris. I think as Philip has suggested, it is down to personal preference. Like Philip though, feeling the weight of the club head in the swing and responding to that in a relaxed way with minimal interference is absolutely key.
Many thanks both. I think I knew the answer to that but it is good to ask questions that some may have but don't vocalise themselves. I have been following you and your team now circa 7 months. Bought the book and the hole in one trainer and my handicap has fallen from 24 to 16. I don't go to the range anymore. I practice my swing with the hole in one trainer and i practice only my chipping, putting and bunkers now at the club. Waiting for the new book with anticipation as my putting continues to suck and I think there may be some pointers in the new material when that comes out. Appreciate all of your hard work and community engagement@@Easiestswing
You can do it! You might like to download our free e-book to back things up while you let go of something you previously believed it should help you along the way
The best solution, paradoxically, is to swing more slowly. I watched the Women's Open about 10 years ago and saw they were hitting 280 yards or more off the tee and wondered why I couldn't do it. I slowed down, copied their smooth swing and added more than 25 yards to my tee shots within a few weeks. I'm 77, 5'6 and had cancer surgery 6 weeks ago so I am taking things very easy. On Saturday my 5 wood tee shots were between 185 and 205 yards. My driver on the 3 holes where I used it went over 210 yards.
What inspiring comments! I hope many other golfers read them and gain something from hearing golfers like yourself gaining yardage with ease. Thank you and good luck with your recovery and continued progress 🙂
Swing slower and hit it further. It's key to unlocking effortless power. Great to read such positive and inspiring words, thank you for sharing your recent success and best of luck with your recovery!
I play with a chap who is 84 years old. He has a rhythmical swing with his left heel rising as he swings back. He outdrives me by 40 meters and he still plays off single figures.@@Easiestswing
Are you increasing your turn and allowing the heel to subsequently rise or are you just lifting your heel with the same turn you had previously? If the latter, take another look at the video at 2 mins 28 seconds and see what I say there and that should help. 👍 hope that works!
I'm 66 bad back. Stretching works. Ur swing is spot on. Unintentionally, I have been moving towards ur swing without knowing it..will look up the link to learn faster..tks
Thanks I’m really pleased to hear you say this. I think as pros we can easily complicate simple things. By contrast my aim is to attempt to present complex things simply!
Really pleased it was helpful! You should definitely check out our other videos, here is one you might enjoy where we do discuss this very thing th-cam.com/video/LuvvA713pvc/w-d-xo.html Hope you enjoy this too. Thanks
Right on - I watched it and will be watching more now that I've found your channel. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming. I need help with short game as well. ; ) Don't we all! @@Easiestswing
Thank you Greg, really pleased you enjoyed the video. You might also enjoy this one th-cam.com/video/qTiTllzyOk4/w-d-xo.html We used the Shot Vision app on iPhone.
This makes a lot of sense. I believe Jack Nicklaus said he initiated the down swing by planting his left heel back on the ground. But I question getting a full 100 yards more carry with just an increase of 10 mph swing speed.
If you watch closely I explain that not only was my clubhead speed reduced by 10mph but also due to the restricted swing my attack was steeper - from memory I think the launch angle was around 6° rather than 12° plus. Also 100mph accelerating is very different to 90mph decelerating. Hope that all makes a bit more sense. 👍
I am 76 years old, and I have never intentionally lifted my left heel off the ground. I have to wait over four months until my course opens to try this. It sounds like it will help me a lot. I have always been too tight in my swing, and I have not gotten any distance at all. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Bob You can do some great practice during the winter indoors just practicing the movement and getting used to the feel of it. Don’t forget to download your free e-book which will also show you our famous “La Danse du golf” movement which will also help. A swing caddy is also a great investment (or a hole in one if you have limited room height available) these are especially good for players who have a shortened playing season. Take a look at our website for links to all the above and good luck!
I would contend that there is something wrong with your first set of numbers that say your first swing was 91 mph and yet only carried the ball 134 yards. I am 65 and though I am not a long hitter (my swing speed with the driver is low to mid 80's) I still carry the ball anywhere from 175-190 yards depending on the quality of contact.
You are absolutely right, the lower swing speed was not the only factor playing a role in the reduced carry distance. The launch angle was significantly lower, the swing narrower, steeper angle of attack and the club was decelerating rather than accelerating through impact (putting the breaks on). These factors combined were what made for such a stark contrast. Quality of contact is arguably more important than speed and swinging with a longer, relaxed, tension free swing will increase the likelihood of a good quality strike.
THANKS, For some reason I used to lift my left heal and recently I stopped, not sure why, But I lost at least 30 to 50 yards. I can’t wait to go back to letting my left heal come off the ground.
I am 72 years of age I have been swinging this way for 2 years now with my driver and I have been down the middle and keeping up with my younger seniors . Does it go right or left yes but mostly in the middle. .. Still working on my irons. Good luck out there .Rockford, IL
Brian Sparks and the Easiest Swing instructional videos have made an immense effect on my game. At 75 I am still losing distance and struggle with the driver. Occasional slices or fades occur when trying to put a little more effort as you show here. Surfing TH-cam , I found Marcus Edblad, a Swedish PGA instructor that promotes an inside / out swing with the trailing hand pushing rather than the lead hand pulling. I will be interested to see is any of this can be incorporated into the success that Brian and his team have give me.🇨🇦👍👨🦳
We are delighted that Brian and his concepts have had such an immense impact on your game. The driver can be a challenge for all levels and ages of golfers at times, have patience, relax and most importantly, enjoy it 👍
It's also important when lifting the left heel off the ground to not sway off the ball, just rotate. Seeing some of my buddies lift the left heel but swaying off the ball leads to bad results.
If you are turning, a little lateral movement is fine and even encourages good balance but lateral movement without turn is indeed to be avoided I am planning to do a video on this very topic so thanks for raising it.
Oh my god. I just switched and tried this, I’m not old, but I have had both of my bicep muscle tendons snap (left and right from the same spot) and had the surgery to reconnect them) and my drive is on average 310-330 yards. Now that I’m lifting my left heel, same swing same power and I’m hitting it between 400-425 yards. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
That is seriously impressive - well done! I hope you continue your journey with us and keep on improving your game. Would love to hear more from you in our ES Club if you would consider joining so we can see your swing and help you improve.
That is one of our favourites Royal Ashdown Forest GC in Sussex we will be posting a game Peter and Philip played there soon so keep an eye out for that. Glad you liked the video hope it helps!
Yes the same principles apply to irons. Make sure to check out our other videos that demonstrate this: th-cam.com/video/FF2M6B6GtTo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YQIaYfuLTNsWQwXM
Séan, I have tried everything (watched all your videos) to get longer drives. I still can't drive farther than 180 yards. It is so frustrating and embarrassing, too. I am 68 and still in good shape.
Hi Jeff, it is hard to know what to say without seeing your actual golf swing and if you have already watched all our videos. Do you have a Swing Caddy - the training aid we use at the Easiest Swing? They are an investment and worth every penny as you can practice with it practically anywhere. You can buy one on this link through Amazon: tinyurl.com/swing-caddy The Swing Caddy can help you become more accustomed to using your wrists and hands, something we are conventionally taught not to do. Using the hand and wrists allows you to get more swing speed. Along with the hands and wrists, if you are avoiding the 3 Deadly Don'ts as in the following video, you should find you will gain more distance. th-cam.com/video/LuvvA713pvc/w-d-xo.html
@leonardhandzlik6008 I have the Orange Whip. It's nice for warming up, but way too long to help with swing mechanics. I have bought so many training aids the past 20 years, have kept only the putting aids. I am awaiting the arrival of my Swing Rite for winter training.
@Easiestswing I reckon you will enjoy the video we are releasing this weekend which discusses how to play free of back pain. Could be perfect timing for you.
The left foot heel comes off the ground as a result of a good turn(in affect it's pulled off the ground), if you consciously try to lift it, your toast!
Absolutely spot on - the left heel needs to be ALLOWED to come away following good rotation. As you say just lifting the heel up is not really the right thing to do. Having said that senior golfers who have their heel glued to the floor may benefit, even if they get this element slightly wrong.
Hope you find this advice helpful and unlock those extra yards with a driver. If you are new to Easiest Swing make sure to get your FREE E-Book from easiestswing.com and learn more about our philosophy. Most importantly enjoy your golf ⛳️
Great video, very well explained, does the lifting of the heel apply to all clubs?
Thank You!
Can’t wait to hear how you get on - best of luck with it. Be good to get those yards back 👍
I'm 68, and guess what I'm going to start doing???
Thanks for this GREAT tip!!!
FORE...⛳
I’m new to golf and 67 years old. I took advantage of lessons through the VA and I would raise my left heel naturally. Not one of the in house professionals told me to plant it!
I have a friend whom is and has been an avid golfer for 55 or 60 years, he’s pretty darn salty too. He has been after me for the last 10 years to play and after taking lessons, I did. The first thing he said was, “keep your left heel planted.”
I’m glad I came across your video and I thank you!
That one piece of advice has wrecked many a natural swing. Glad you found the right way forward!
❤
A "pro" telling you to just use your arms? I'd check those credentials, lol
That is great to hear and probably reassuring for newcomers to our channel. Keep up with what you are doing and your best days are still ahead!
I Like this Video, I’m 77 years young and have noticed over the pass year my drives were getting shorter so of courseI was trying to swing harder, faster, so everything fell apart. Now I tried swinging softer and bang the distance came back with less work. THANKS. 😊
It’s incredible isn’t it - like a secret sauce! Well done maybe your best golf is yet to come!!
Of the many reasons to adopt Easiest Swing, preventing untold damage to your body is certainly one key benefit!
Wonderful! Enjoy good health, good golf and hopefully a few more yards!
I recently turned 61 - I just found your channel and have enjoyed the first couple of videos that I've watched!
Thank you! I have had a terrible time with lost distance. I am 74 and need something to get my game back on track.
Glad you enjoyed this - let us know how it works for you.
You are so welcome! We hope this helps you recover some of those lost yards.
You have made my day! I always use to lift my left foot and was told not too, I could not understand why I lost distance, I have put it down to becoming "old"😹You have a new follower all the way from South Africa 🥰⛳️🏌🏻♀️
Great to have you on board and we hope your golf flourishes now you are freed once again!
Glad this has helped and hope we can continue to help you progress your game in the Easiest way.
Donal Joyce Galway Ireland, 81yrs old This is the best lesson I have seen for seniors, I am going to start enjoying my golf again'. Which I have not done for some time now. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Donal great to hear your golf is on the mend. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the info. I will definitely try this as I am struggling with driver at the moment. I'm 71 by the way...
Well done John - it is going to work! Can’t wait to hear from you again when you’ve seen it for yourself. 👍
Excellent tips particularly about not keeping the left heal grounded while taking the club back at the start of the swing. This move also helps in upper body movement.
Glad you enjoyed it and hope it really helps your game 👍
Thanks Phillip. There is a lot on Utube ...I really like your explanationion and the way your bring to our attention.
I will checking more of your vids...Cheers
You are very welcome, we are delighted you enjoyed the video. You may enjoy this one th-cam.com/video/qTiTllzyOk4/w-d-xo.html and definitely check out our others on our channel. Thanks
Awesome, thank you! Can’t wait to hear how you get on 👍
Thanks for information makes me feel better about being able to get back to playing again
Great hope we continue to inspire you 👍
Thanks Phil - this is the first video I've watched of yours, and I'm keen to give this a go on the range / course.
Hi JT I hope it goes well for you. We pride ourselves in the fact our channel is not just a constant stream of tips and tricks but is all connected and leads to a much easier way to play this wonderful game. Love the video, have been playing for a number of years but have seen the power drop off since hitting 60 years old. Will definitely be giving this a go tomorrow so will keep you informed with my findings. Thanks for the tip!!
Good luck I’m sure it will work - let us know
@@Easiestswing thank you and yes I will let you know.
Thank you 👍🏼 I’m glad the algorithm sent this to me
Glad it helped and hope you enjoy our other videos.
At 65 yrs old you have 115 mph club head speed? lol I think you might be a bit surprised if you have it measured. 115 is average for the PGA tour.
@@donnieshelton591maybe it’s kilometres per hour?
@@donnieshelton591And the average distance with that 113-115 mph club speed is 285-295 yrds.Gotta get that ball speed up over 165 mph too.
Brilliant, simple, terrific ... profound change. WOW!
Thanks Robert and glad it has helped you! Fabulous 👍
Can't wait to try it. I'm 69 and haven't played for 3 plus years and trying to get back into it hasn't been easy or pretty. On some good pops ball feels light but on others ball and driver feel heavy, doesn't go anywhere.
Welcome back to the game. Wishing you great success and hope to be your support along the way.
@Easiestswing Well thank you.
Great advice. Makes much more sense. Thank you.
You’re welcome Charles!
Just brilliant ...Thank you indeed for your magnificent move
Thank you for your reply.@@philipsparks8315
At 80 yrs old its fun to play and be one of the top 10 golfers in the world by age
Wonderfully presented and explained… and the sequences from former times👌🏼
Thanks, much appreciated and glad you liked it.
Many thanks! Really pleased you enjoyed the demonstration 😊
Makes sense and was well explained.
I`ll be giving it a go tomorrow.
100 extra yards seems a bit of a claim !! I hit about 210 -230. I don`t think I am going to reach 300 :-)))
Hi James good luck with it let us know if you get some more yards with it.
Great video and advice for senior golfers.
Thank you, really pleased you enjoyed it
Great advice seems it would take away the tension, will try👍🏾💪🏾👍🏾
I’m certain it will - let us know how you get on. 👍
Absolutely and we hope you discover some effortless additional yards too!
Glad I found this video.
We're really pleased you found it too.
Very Good. It help me a lot. Thanks
Fabulous - really pleased it’s working for you.
Great advice. It makes total sense. I'll try it tomorrow.
Enjoy it - it WILL work!
Happiest Birthday ESClub. 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤ ❤❤❤
Thank you 🥳
Nice to see, but 10 mph increase in clubhead speed would usually equate to 25 yds more carry all other things being equal, so there was definitely something else amiss with the first swing...
Great tip for seniors or any age golfer.
We are inclined to agree!! Thanks for the nice comment 👍
I will try this week and let you know. At 75 and 165lbs in my present game I concentrate on a few things 1 In back swing I make sure my shoulder touches my chin 2 i pause at the top 3 swing easy.. Result is 175 to 200 yds. Hope to write soon with better results.
Keep working on this Mo and you will soon be the right side of 200 yards. Great to hear from you!👍
Thanks for the driving tip, distance is great.
Good one. Makes total sense. 👍
Really pleased you enjoyed it. Perhaps this one will also help: th-cam.com/video/qTiTllzyOk4/w-d-xo.html
Excellent video and I will definitely be trying the left foot of the ground & swinging smoother.😀😀😀

Glad you got something from the video - enjoy the feeling as you free up your action. Let us know how you get on.
Been trying to raise my heel but end up duffing shots. Any help gratefully received 😊
Are you increasing your turn and allowing the heel to subsequently rise or are you just lifting your heel with the same turn you had previously? If the latter, take another look at the video at 2 mins 28 seconds and see what I say there and that should help. 👍 hope that works!
Many thanks. Will check😊

Thanks for this. Finally some realistic instruction. We are not pros! Why do we think we can play that way. This is what we need to hear. Thank you!
Thanks I’m really pleased to hear you say this. I think as pros we can easily complicate simple things. By contrast my aim is to attempt to present complex things simply!

Thanks Johnny glad it’s helping and thanks too for following us. 🙏
great review, cant wait to give it practice. Many thanks
Hope you enjoy it and it works!
What a great tip, brilliant advice. Thank you!😊
Cheers Giles glad you enjoyed it and hope your game benefits. 👍
I am 76 years old, and I have never intentionally lifted my left heel off the ground. I have to wait over four months until my course opens to try this. It sounds like it will help me a lot. I have always been too tight in my swing, and I have not gotten any distance at all. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Bob
You can do some great practice during the winter indoors just practicing the movement and getting used to the feel of it.
I am going to try it thanks
Hope you enjoy!
Great Advise! Thanks
Our pleasure!
Wish there was a Long Drive competition for us Seniors (65-75). Thank you for your video.
What a great idea!! I wonder if Sky would be interested? 🤔😄 seriously though - thanks for your support 👍
Good morning si it the same thing with all the clubs : hybride, Woods and irons ?
Absolutely, the principles can apply to all your clubs.
Fabulous! Let us know how many yards come back!!
I am 72 years of age I have been swinging this way for 2 years now with my driver and I have been down the middle and keeping up with my younger seniors . Does it go right or left yes but mostly in the middle. .. Still working on my irons. Good luck out there .Rockford, IL
Great news Adrian keep up the good progress and keep knocking it past those youngsters!! Thanks for your comment.
As Philip mentions, we are doing a video on what sway is and why it isn't mutually exclusive to allowing the lead heel to lift.
Thanks, Phillip. Does this carry over to irons as well?
Same principles apply to irons. Check out our other videos to see how: th-cam.com/video/FF2M6B6GtTo/w-d-xo.html
Thank you, very informative. Can’t wait to put it in to practice. Added to that, the golf course looks stunning! Whereabouts is it, please?
That is one of our favourites Royal Ashdown Forest GC in Sussex we will be posting a game Peter and Philip played there soon so keep an eye out for that. Glad you liked the video hope it helps!
Great tip will this work with my irons?
Yes the same principles apply to irons. Make sure to check out our other videos that demonstrate this: th-cam.com/video/FF2M6B6GtTo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YQIaYfuLTNsWQwXM
Excellent video!
Thanks - glad you liked it.
You can buy one on this link through Amazon: tinyurl.com/swing-caddy
The Swing Caddy can help you become more accustomed to using your wrists and hands, something we are conventionally taught not to do. Using the hand and wrists allows you to get more swing speed. Along with the hands and wrists, if you are avoiding the 3 Deadly Don'ts as in the following video, you should find you will gain more distance. th-cam.com/video/LuvvA713pvc/w-d-xo.html
@@Easiestswing I will try the Swing Rite. Thank you!!
@@EasiestswingSorry, but 210 pounds or dollars for a swing weight is way too much. The orange Swing Whip is a much better investment, IMHO
@leonardhandzlik6008 I have the Orange Whip. It's nice for warming up, but way too long to help with swing mechanics. I have bought so many training aids the past 20 years, have kept only the putting aids. I am awaiting the arrival of my Swing Rite for winter training.
180 yards will suffice if you hit from the senior tees. Don't be embarassed.
Thanks. Will try it. I follow the 3/4 backswing of Don Trahan. At 77 I have to watch my back.
You can do it! Keep a look out for our next video being released on Saturday, it should really resonate with you!
Great! Let us know how you get on - hopefully pleasantly surprised 👍
@Easiestswing I reckon you will enjoy the video we are releasing this weekend which discusses how to play free of back pain. Could be perfect timing for you.
Do we do this for our irons as well??? Thnks
Absolutely, the same principles apply.
Cheers thanks for your help. So impressed with yr swing an work u guys are doing to help us
@@phillipismay3585 thanks that sort of comment is inspiring 👍
Many thanks
You are welcome glad you liked it 👍
Can this be done with your fairway woods?
The same principles apply to fairway woods and irons.
Thank you very helpfull
Glad you like it Stuart and got something out of it👍
You're welcome!
Fair point@@philipsparks8315
Exactly. It is always a response to a good turn.
It makes so much sense and a great deal of difference. Thank you.
Really pleased it helps!
Hi Philip, what Driver and shaft do you recommend
It depends on swing speed and personal preference. You are best to go to a good club fitter and get properly specced for driver and shaft setup.
