    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
    We look at 3 things:
    1. How to stop slicing your driver
    2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing
    Hope you enjoy

Great video. It made me miss the times I played golf with my Dad. He's been gone since 1985 (I'm old), but he's still the best golfing partner I ever had. Happy New Year to you and your Dad, Danny.

Great video(s) Danny. It seems to me that too many golf coaches become coaches because they are good at golf but lack the ability to teach, which is a completely different skill set. I have also seen this in ski instructors too who become instructors because they can ski well not because they are good teachers. A good coach in any sport needs the skills to teach more than the skills to be the greatest player. You have it round the right way, the skills of a teacher to get the student to understand what to do to improve. Thanks a lot.

Absolutely spot on, often said best footballers struggle to coach as what comes natural to them they don’t understand how good footballer’s can’t match.
Information overload can be a killer, too many thoughts in a swing just ruins it.
I loved the series with Tiger Woods and various celebs, he said very little initially then just gave small changes. Effect was amazing on list of the players.
Roll on 2022 and drier weather in the UK to get out and play

You are so honest with what you impart, and this Vid with your Dad convinces me all the more (youre not going to Blag yer dad) Much of what is going on in Golf tuition is what I call, “the Dark Art”, and I suppose that is why only a quarter of the worlds golfers shoot below 90! Massive market for lengthy tuition and confusing information! You are different class, great communicator, knowledgeable, and honest! Thank you!

Loved this but ... I'm 76 years old and took up the game more than 45 years ago. I spent about the first two years trying to hit a draw. I was getting so frustrated with failing that one day, driving to the golf course, I resolved to stop trying to hit a draw and, instead, just aim way left and allow for my slice. I resolved to do this on every full shot I had, even aiming for the left side of the greens regardless of where the pin was located.
I was shocked with the result. My big slice instantly turned into a gently fade. I shot 79 that day - a number I thought I would never see in my golf career. Eventually, I got my handicap down to a 2 (fleetingly) but I was always a solid 5 or less. I had above average distance, yet I became known for playing a consistent fade and hitting fairways and greens.
I took ten years away from the game and resumed playing 10 years ago. Unsurprisingly, I have lost a considerable amount of distance (age and time off will do that for everyone). Now I am a dreadfully short hitter. And my natural fade is killing me!
Lately, I have been thinking of trying to modify my swing to hit a draw. Watching this video gets me thinking that it is possible.
I think I'll try it. Seeing those numbers on a screen might be just the thing that could help me.
    Thanks for posting.

I would think either one of these, if done wrong, would effect the end result. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Keep up the great instruction!!

Very similar although with irons there is a downward strike on the golf ball

So I watched this after you recommended it the other day. Quick update- while I haven't mastered it yet, at the range tonight I defo got some better movements going. With more work it could really help. Driver distance was up by about 15-25 yds mostly and even it one out at 271yd carry. Still not as far as I used to hit it, but defo a step in right direction 👍🏻

I'm 63, struggle to get down to 90 shots but have been watching and practicing these two videos for 10 days. Yesterday: went through to knockouts semi finals with an 85😂😂😂. Hallelujah! The first time I've ever heard a golf pro telling somebody to hit the driver with a closed stance, as Ben Hogan told us to do 60 years ago. And I've used the tennis analogy myself. Perfect! Hitting with a closed stance makes the swing more natural. The ball will not go where your feet are pointing but where your shoulders are pointing. As soon as you put your right hand below your left your shoulders are open. Putting the ball forward in your stance makes your shoulders open even more. Closing your stance rectifies that, meaning the important part of the swing is towards the target, not towards out of bounds on the left.

I have said for years that the bio mechanics of the tennis swing are not applicable to golf. I based this on the fact that our tennis pro couldn't play golf because he opened his shoulder too quickly. I've been officially proven wrong! Went out and practiced this today and started torching the ball. Thanks a lot Danny... now I have to re-calibrate my club distances!

That description of the ‘feeling’ of the correct swing , has triggered of a memory of a feeling I had ( but did not recognise at the time I could do no wrong off the tee with my driver. ( never to be repeated sadly)
I will get back to the range and try and recapture that ‘feeling’ using this lesson .

Hi Danny thank you for all your great content and best wishes for 2022! This video is so me I’m about the same build as your Dad and I am 74 in Feb I decided I would have a go at sorting my golf swing out before I get too old 🤣 I have had a few lessons since October and hope to have a least 1 a month thru winter however I’m so disappointed at the moment as I cannot seem to crack the transition part of my swing like you say it’s going to take time but if I take what feels like a half swing I can get great contact with the ball and good distance and very in to out! Once I take a full swing I’m straight back to poor contact and rubbish distance 🤷🏻‍♂️ My pro has given me drills but I can’t get it right with full swing. This is with both irons and driver 😫 my club has now installed Top Tracer at the range and it is demoralising when you see the figures and flight path. Anyway I’ll keep at it maybe something will click. Regards David

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

What would be a good idea is to look at your swing on camera to see if you are really swinging longer or just moving about more there is a big difference 😁

  • @method341

He's not using his body at all. He seems flexible enough to be able to use his body a bit more. He's been slicing it for 25-30 years so even when he was younger he was just using his arms I'm presuming

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Gets a little off balance at address which stops him using his legs and then his torso. He’s aware of this and is gradually working it into his swing for a greater range of motion
