Have to agree mate. I have never been able to hit a draw consistently last 2 videos I'm hitting the best consistent shots I've ever hit because it was explained so simply
I’ve just learnt more in 10 mins than i have in 25 years of golf .. I gave up the game 10 years ago after failing to rid a annoying slice, if only i had this instruction available, i still enjoy thinking about how to cure the issue but sadly lost the desire to play anymore… NOODLES…

Encouraging, supportive, patient. More instructors need to emphasize the importance of building on a lesson, and restarting when things go bad. One of the best lessons I have watched from Danny. Never to old to learn and enjoy improving and golf.
Great video. It made me miss the times I played golf with my Dad. He's been gone since 1985 (I'm old), but he's still the best golfing partner I ever had. Happy New Year to you and your Dad, Danny.
Danny, I'm sure you realize how special that was. It was certainly special for me. Lost my dad at 10 years old and when I see the relationship in the lesson it's just special. On top of that, the lesson was just awesome. Thank you, Danny and your father.
I absolutely loved watching you work with your Dad. It was exactly what I needed in my game. I hit just like your Dad. Not only did it bring a smile to my face but a little tear in my eyes as well. Danny, your are the best. Your love of the game and how you break it down are are very instructional and repeatable. Think I've watched 40 or more of your videos. By the way, I am 71 yrs old and took up the game late in life. I played competitive soccer (football) in the U.S. until the age of 49. I loved your reference to footballer moves and body motion. I get it. Keep up the great work. I tell everyone about your videos. My favorite.
Your dad seems like a lovely man Danny . As a senior golfer myself can I just thank you for all the wonderful videos this last year . My game has improved greatly . Never too old to learn 👍👍
Thanks Danny, I started my golfing life with you about 3 years ago,(you congratulated me on my initial handicap of 10.3) weirdly I avoid watching you sometimes as I am scared of being so absorbed that, (like so many) I am messing with everything every week. You are so honest with what you impart, and this Vid with your Dad convinces me all the more (youre not going to Blag yer dad) Much of what is going on in Golf tuition is what I call, “the Dark Art”, and I suppose that is why only a quarter of the worlds golfers shoot below 90! Massive market for lengthy tuition and confusing information! You are different class, great communicator, knowledgeable, and honest! Thank you!
Why is Danny such a good golf teacher? It’s his ability to demonstrate physically what he is teaching. In my experience many golf instructors do not have this talent.
Great video(s) Danny. It seems to me that too many golf coaches become coaches because they are good at golf but lack the ability to teach, which is a completely different skill set. I have also seen this in ski instructors too who become instructors because they can ski well not because they are good teachers. A good coach in any sport needs the skills to teach more than the skills to be the greatest player. You have it round the right way, the skills of a teacher to get the student to understand what to do to improve. Thanks a lot.
Danny, Happy New Year to you and your family, keep the great tips coming, lovely to see interaction with your Dad, who has the same sort of swing of most of us old'uns!! I keep pointing my 60+ golfing mates in the direction of your videos as they are always relevant to the Senior Golfer base. 😁
Absolutely spot on, often said best footballers struggle to coach as what comes natural to them they don’t understand how good footballer’s can’t match. Information overload can be a killer, too many thoughts in a swing just ruins it. I loved the series with Tiger Woods and various celebs, he said very little initially then just gave small changes. Effect was amazing on list of the players. Roll on 2022 and drier weather in the UK to get out and play
Brilliant teaching Danny great lesson. Will not just help senior golfers but all of us who have been plagued with that dreaded slice off the tee.Have a great New Year 👍
Not only another great lesson which we can all follow, under a stand and visualise but to do the lesson with your Dad just adds the cream on top. It just makes it that much more special. Bonne année Danny. Stay safe sir.
Great video Danny, I’ll pass this on to my 70 year old dad , he’s craving more distance and hits driver around 175 , but he’s fit enough to hit it further ! Happy new year pal .
Danny, brilliant tutorial and please continue to show more of these face to face working videos in all areas of the game. It makes understanding the game more interesting and you see immediately the benefit
Love your lessons. You teach the remedy, not the cure. As you told your dad the problems will return, but now you have given him the knowledge that will allow him to correct his flaw when it returns(and it will). Your dad now knows what causes the problem and what he needs to do to correct it.
That was brilliant Danny it has given me more insight to what I need to do and how to practice it in the correct way I think your Dad was a perfect pupil to demonstrate the process Thank you both
Far and away the best video I've seen explaining how to hit a draw with a driver. I've struggled coming over the top and this has helped immensely. Chuffed you were able to help your dad.
I'm so glad I found your videos this past year, Danny. You have added a level of consistency to my game that I have struggled with for many years. I've directed all my buddies to you and know there are many people out there enjoying the game more because of you. Happy New Year!
I love this father and son video. I’ve played for 40 years and woke up and didn’t know how to play. Lost everything I knew. I went out in the yard with a nine iron. It was amazing how sweet I was striking it and it has a slight draw. Thank you so much. This 73 year old man appreciates you.
Great video Danny. What I love about your videos is that it is so much easier to take your instruction and thoughts to the range and work on them than it is when you have 10 different ideas about stance, grip, movement, takeaway etc etc which just mess your head up.
The best instruction video I have ever seen how to get rid of a slice. No fancy gimmick just plain common sense presented in an easy to understand way. All the best from Sweden.
This video of you and your dad is the most entertaining, well instructed, sincerest and heart-warming golf video I have ever seen. Thank you so much to the both of you!
I enjoyed the video as much for the father son connection as for the golf lesson. Enjoy the time with your dad, Danny. I loved golfing with my dad before he became too old to swing the clubs. My dad played until he was 83-84 years of age. Although my dad can no longer golf, I am fortunate to still have him at age 88.
Hi Danny. That was brilliant. Your Dad was a star! He was keen to improve and learn and you kept encouraging him to take it slowly before adding the power. It reminded me of myself. Have a safe and successful 2022. Best wishes.
Danny, you have the most beautiful and fundamental way of explaining things along with visual confirmation. It was amazing how quick your dad caught on to the technique. The tennis racquet was brilliant. You are without a doubt one of the easiest guys to watch and listen to and time with your dad is priceless. God Bless
Thanks as usual Danny for simple to understand instructions. I'll be taking it to the range and try to put into practice. HNY and good luck to your Dad.

Danny and mister Maud, Thank you for this good and clear explanation. With this fabric I can get started on the driving range and on our par 3 golf course. I have the same challenge as your father too much slice and little distance with the driver.
Great to see this father and son relationship. Father taking instructions from his son. Sounds like a great Man. I learn so much more from your live videos. Keep them coming!!!
Great tips! I’ve been struggling with my driver for a while and this perfectly explained what I need to work on. Hopefully it will stop me from being too frightened to take the driver out of the bag and I can get my distance off the tee back.
Danny, by far my new favorite instructor on TH-cam!!!!! You make it so simple to understand with the ability to visualize what you're trying to do!!!! Thanks
Happy New Year Danny. More great tips here. Really enjoyed seeing you give a live lesson like this - hope you do more of these. Lovely to see you helping your Dad.
Your best lesson yet Danny. I have taken hundreds of you tube lessons or thousands, I’m a slicer on my bad days at the course and a fader on my good days, never a draw. I have never, NEVER heard de-loft the club to hit a draw. I set up for a draw I work hard at staying inside to out, elbow in, strong grip etc, etc. can’t wait to try this. You’re a beautiful person, thanks for your help this past year.
So lovely to see you and your dad together Danny. And you guys are working on the same problem that I have with my swing so it’s almost like I’m there with you! Thanks!
A fantastic online coach. Also love the lesson with his old fella. My old man isn't around anymore and I never really got the chance to enjoy golf with him. This video is brilliant on so many levels. All the best for 2022 Danny, old lad.
I have experienced the similar pleasure in teaching and pleasing people in a sport. His passion and enthusiasm for his students is inspiring for them. Giving exercises (homework) after enthusiastic demonstrations gives one goals.
Not only a very good lesson but hartwarming to see dad and son working together to get dad’s golfswing improve so quickly. Hopefully our golf games can improve this fast as well. Nice start to 2022 👍
Great lesson Danny as you provided a great explanation on how go from slice to draw. Your dad is a great student. A great lesson to kick off the 2022 season.
Danny thank you for covering this with your dad. It is understandable that must video content is geared toward the younger player and not seniors you have done a great job in providing to us seniors videos that are easy to understand for those of us who are trying to improve at Almost 75 I really do appreciate your efforts. Again Thank You
That lesson was not just for senior players😅 I learnt a ton as well!👌🤯 It's the way you explain it and the vibe and energy you have with everyone that makes this difference and thank you so much for that! You really have a gift right there🙏🥇🔥🔥🔥 your dad is gonna rock the course for sure!!😁👌
This was a special session. What an amazing opportunity for you both. I LOVE how you are not a “formula” teacher, but talk about feelings and motions, not technical/mechanical teacher. “You want to feel this motion” This is how learn best and why I keep watching and learning. Best tip today: don’t just make one swing and then go full on, repeat and repeat the feeling and build on it. Btw I think dad has another 20 yards in him, easy!
So enjoyed seeing you instruct your dad and his reaction to his rapid improvement. Had to be so gratifying to be able to turn his slice into a draw in such a short time. We’ll done Danny.
Danny, I am 64 and have learned a lot from you past 2 years or so.when I was younger played more, now a lot less. But your videos, remind of a lot of basics.Thank you for your videos and instructions. 👍
Hi Danny, I'm a junior golfer and golf is my favorite thing to do! Your videos have helped my scores decrease by over 10 shots! I've had a slice problem lately and no matter what I did I couldn't fix it, but after watching this video every one of my drives was a draw right down the left side of the fairway! Thank you so much and keep it up!
I've had a fade / slice since I started playing golf 35 years ago and have watched many TH-cam videos on how to fix it, but without success. When you broke it all down and especially when you introduced the tennis racket something clicked for me. You have yourself a new subscriber.
Danny , what can i say , absolutely the best instuctual video ive ever seen , and performed with utter respect and humility !!!! You should be be very proud of yourself ! Cheers mate 💚👏👏👍👍👏
Hallelujah! The first time I've ever heard a golf pro telling somebody to hit the driver with a closed stance, as Ben Hogan told us to do 60 years ago. And I've used the tennis analogy myself. Perfect! Hitting with a closed stance makes the swing more natural. The ball will not go where your feet are pointing but where your shoulders are pointing. As soon as you put your right hand below your left your shoulders are open. Putting the ball forward in your stance makes your shoulders open even more. Closing your stance rectifies that, meaning the important part of the swing is towards the target, not towards out of bounds on the left.
Wonderful to see your Dad still wanting to improve his game!! My Dad played til he was 94... miss him!!!! Thanks for all the very helpful tips to improve my own slice!!!
This is the best driver lesson with an outstanding explanation of what is going on and what we should be doing. I can’t wait to out this plan into action. Thanks Danny, you’ve done it again!!!!!!!
Lovely video and brings a tear to my eye. We almost lost my dear old 83yr old dad a few days ago to a catastrophic heart event. Against all odds he survived major surgery and now I truly hope we can enjoy more time doing things together when he's recovered. We never know what waits around the corner. Thank you Danny - I've always appreciated your gentle wisdom and am working hard to get below 5 this year. Big project for this 54yr old! Cheers and Happy New Year from Sydney, Dave 🙂
As a senior golfer, I enjoyed your lessons to help your dear dad and your friend to hit a draw with a driver. Watching all your lessons this past year, I am now hitting almost all fairways with my driver by hitting straighter shots by swinging to the right and using the lower body rather than pushing shots to the right. I am still finding it harder to draw my drawer but I draw my irons. Keep up your great tips and hope that you and your family have a Happy New Year.
What a great lesson, Danny - I keep struggling with a slice especially when trying to push for distance and this process and discipline is spot on. Many thanks, keep it coming in 2022!
If you are that patient with all your students they are lucky to have you as their teacher. Like how you explained it to pops. Had the same issue long ago for many years and finally found a similar tip that helped me to change it. A good example too of how launch monitor data can help to show someone exactly what they are doing wrong. Really helped to make your explanation make more sense too. Wonderful too watch - thanks for sharing.
Danny, I have found this video with your father, and also your other videos extremely enlightening. I suspect my vintage exceeds your father's! Thank you.
Hi Danny. Have shared your last few lessons, including the one with Liam Williams, with a few mates and they have all said the same thing: simple and easy to understand solutions to slices, lack of distance, timing etc, but most importantly they have all improved their game and reduce WG handicaps. I watch other TH-cam PGA pro lessons but there are not patch on you. keep up the great work.
Danny, one of the best, if not the best of lessons I have ever seen regarding the "feel" of the driver ... the equating to a tennis top spin, in to out, etc ... I have recommended your courses to many of my friends ... hope they subscribed also!
A beautiful Father/Son moment. Reminds me of some special words from a friend of mine that apply to many situations-Perseverance, Positive attitude and Patience. You display them brilliantly with your Dad. Be good, stay safe and have a wonderful New Year.-Russ
I’m reading these wonderful comments about you, Danny , and I couldn’t agree more. I hit the driving range twice this weekend here in Connecticut and made incredible progress thanks to your gentle, loving, and practical advice. The tennis analogy was particularly helpful. Thanks for your guidance. And your relationship with your dad is priceless. 😊
I have only been back playing golf for 3-months after 20 years away from the game, and I am so much better because of your videos. The main learning for me has been ‘practice with purpose’, don’t just smash some balls and expect to get better. I really liked the hit the ball with half swings to get the feel first, then add the power, and if you lose the shape go back to half swings and start again. I went to the range today and was hitting draws for the first time in my life and yes I was hitting the ball further, but the best part was the increased predictability and trust I had in my swing. Thanks so much.
This is something I’ve been trying to understand with my swing for a long time and you’ve nailed it in this video for me. You’re a great teacher! Thanks for all your content. Sam

I would give anything to give my late father a golf lesson. This was awesome Danny. Great instruction with clear, concise visuals, per usual.
Really kind of you to feedback Jason
thanks danny. ive now explored the area and learnt the sensation. now working on speed. you're a legend.
That’s awesome to hear Ron
What a lovely chap your father is. A true gentleman. He must be so proud of you. Happy New Year to all of you.
Great lesson Danny as you provided a great explanation on how go from slice to draw. Your dad is a great student. A great lesson to kick off the 2022 season.
Thanks so much Willie
Danny thank you for covering this with your dad. It is understandable that must video content is geared toward the younger player and not seniors you have done a great job in providing to us seniors videos that are easy to understand for those of us who are trying to improve at Almost 75 I really do appreciate your efforts. Again Thank You
You are very welcome Rick, all the best
You explain things very well. Lots of patience and a positive attitude. What more could you ask for out of a golf instructor/ coach. Well done!
Very kind thank you
That lesson was not just for senior players😅 I learnt a ton as well!👌🤯 It's the way you explain it and the vibe and energy you have with everyone that makes this difference and thank you so much for that! You really have a gift right there🙏🥇🔥🔥🔥 your dad is gonna rock the course for sure!!😁👌
Quality Danny, your dad looked mega proud of his & yours achievements during the lesson, top draw 👍👍👍👍
Very kind words thank you. Yes Dad has a few more yards in him 😁👍
So enjoyed seeing you instruct your dad and his reaction to his rapid improvement.
Pleasure Larry, all the very best
Brilliant Danny. My golf has gradually improved over the past 6 months. All due to your tuition. 👏👏👏
Thanks! Danny, I so very much appreciate your analytical insights and your teaching style! Please keep helping us with your gifts!
Danny, I love your interactions with your Dad. You’re both lucky to have each other. Bet you guys have chalked up some great rounds together.
Thanks so much Phil, really hope to get him back on soon
Absolutely correct Colin 👌
Wonderful to see your Dad still wanting to improve his game!! My Dad played til he was 94... miss him!!!! Thanks for all the very helpful tips to improve my own slice!!!
Thanks Judy appreciate your comment 👍
I love watching the lessons. It helps me see what you are trying to show the golf swing for seniors.
Great to have you here Preston
Hello from France. Clear and clever coaching for senior. So demonstrative way to explain and simplifying things. Thank you Monsieur.
You are very welcome
As a senior golfer, I enjoyed your lessons to help your dear dad and your friend to hit a draw with a driver. Watching all your lessons this past year, I am now hitting almost all fairways with my driver by hitting straighter shots by swinging to the right and using the lower body rather than pushing shots to the right. I am still finding it harder to draw my drawer but I draw my irons. Keep up your great tips and hope that you and your family have a Happy New Year.
Thank you Frank, wishing you and your family a happy and healthy new year
What a great lesson, Danny - I keep struggling with a slice especially when trying to push for distance and this process and discipline is spot on. Many thanks, keep it coming in 2022!
All the best John
If you are that patient with all your students they are lucky to have you as their teacher. Like how you explained it to pops. Had the same issue long ago for many years and finally found a similar tip that helped me to change it. A good example too of how launch monitor data can help to show someone exactly what they are doing wrong. Really helped to make your explanation make more sense too. Wonderful too watch - thanks for sharing.
Fantastic video, Danny. You are a fabulous teacher, especially with senior golfers. Bravo!
Thanks so much Evan, love coaching senior golfers
Brilliant stuff Danny. Great to see you teaching your Dad. Very good, simple, easy to understand tips!! Thanks mate.
Thanks so much Robert
Danny, I have found this video with your father, and also your other videos extremely enlightening. I suspect my vintage exceeds your father's! Thank you.
Hi Danny. Have shared your last few lessons, including the one with Liam Williams, with a few mates and they have all said the same thing: simple and easy to understand solutions to slices, lack of distance, timing etc, but most importantly they have all improved their game and reduce WG handicaps. I watch other TH-cam PGA pro lessons but there are not patch on you. keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for the support and for sharing the videos Peter, really appreciate it
Danny, one of the best, if not the best of lessons I have ever seen regarding the "feel" of the driver ... the equating to a tennis top spin, in to out, etc ...
Thank you Matt appreciate the support and feedback 😁
I have only been back playing golf for 3-months after 20 years away from the game, and I am so much better because of your videos. The main learning for me has been ‘practice with purpose’, don’t just smash some balls and expect to get better. I really liked the hit the ball with half swings to get the feel first, then add the power, and if you lose the shape go back to half swings and start again. I went to the range today and was hitting draws for the first time in my life and yes I was hitting the ball further, but the best part was the increased predictability and trust I had in my swing. Thanks so much.
That’s awesome Simon, well done
This is something I’ve been trying to understand with my swing for a long time and you’ve nailed it in this video for me. You’re a great teacher!
Thanks for all your content.
Sam
absolutely the best driver lesson for seniors i have seen on you tube thanks Danny
christiaan from belgium
