thank you so much simple easy video. btw thank you for saying I don't need a cable because I thought they sent me one with no cable. did mine for a 2013 ram 3500 and it was a breeze thank you again.
Hello, I am a tuner. I use other platforms to tune the vehicles. However, I would like to start using EZ LYNK once I heard good things about it and I am having many troubles with other platforms. My questions are: How to write a tune? Which tool do I use? Will it be on my PC or phone? Thank you!
I recently bought a LML Duramax with an Ez Link Auto Agent 2. I am new and unfamiliar when it comes to tuning. I know the truck is tuned with sport/economy. I would like to Install a SOTF switch to I can shift between tunes...mostly will be using it for everyday driving or towing. I can find DSP5 switches for my duramax but do I need a specific one for Ez Link? Also, is it possible to switch technicians? The shop or company that came with it isn't one I've heard of and would like to switch to one that more people I see using if possible. Just looking for information before I started messing around with the different tunes, so any information would be great, thanks.
Yea there are switches that work with the EZ-Lynk we have them on our website, and we can give you a new tuning setup that utilizes the EZ-Lynk that you already have. If you go on our website Dirtydieselcustoms.com you can go to tune files instead of tuners and you can keep your device.
I work at a dealership and got a truck traded in that is currently using the Auto Agent 3 system on a 2019 Ram 2500 Diesel. I have downloaded the app and set up a profile to see if we can turn down the tune to a lower setting but had no luck since it shows no options in the ECU Profile screen. After driving it, I can definitely tell it is probably turned to Level 5 on the tune and we are wanting to try and turn it down for future buyers. Is there any way that I can access the tunes since I am not the one that set it up?
Hi, sorry for my slow reponse! Does the truck have some kind of black dial or switch in it? Maybe they have a SOTF setup that you could rotate (to the left) down to a lower power level. If that doesn't work you'd have to get the old owner to pass the car over to you through the EZ-Lynk app or you'd have to purchase a new tuning profile to bring it down to a regular power level.
Just bought a 2011 F450. EGR & DPF deleted. It's tuned. But I don't know what the tune is. It shifts hard. I want a new tune that just makes everything stock. What would you recommend? I've heard the minimax is awul, but I kinda like how it fits in the ac vent. Thanks for any help!!
To just get something on the truck the truck and fix the shifting an SCT X4 is a good unit, we stock them and they usually ship out same day. The mini max is a decent tuner too, it's not one we carry so I can't say too much about it either way. We have a few different options for that truck over on our website if you want to take a look that can hopefully clean up the shifting!
I have a 4 position SOTF with an auto agent 2, I use my SOTF for my HP but the tuner I went to installed a SOTF tune that doesn’t include TCM tuning. Can I just add the TCM tune through the auto agent without messing up my SOTF switch? Will switching tunes through the SOTF remove my TCM tuning? I don’t know how these things work.
What type of truck are you tuning? If you have a Dodge their TCM + ECM files are all in one, so you just need to select a file with both TCM and ECM tuning on it and it'll then keep both functions working. If you have a Powerstroke then you can add a TCM file to your controller and it'll run no problem, the SOTF won't affect the TCM tuning and vice versa.
@@DPats1228 Strange, I'm not sure why that is then. We've tuned many 18's with all kinds of options. Did you get a bypass cable when you setup the tuner?
So on the cummins is the sotf tune include the trans tuning? I can't seem to select the tcm portion to upload a trans tune there without it overwriting the ecm tune Also do I need a seperate tune for weight loss or do most tunes include that? All through dirty diesel btw
The Cummins has the TCM tuning included in the ECM file because they run through one unit. And you should see emissions on and off tunes, Rate C tunes are emissions on, and the rest are weight loss tunes.
@@dirtydieselcustomwhat does the support package do? I know there are limited ones like 4 weeks and then also lifetime support, what is the support for? And can I upload custom tune files to my truck with the ezylnk without a support package? Or is that required.
@@Dat-plati The support package gives you access to tuners tunes. Without it the EZ-Lynk won't actually have any tunes available to tune the truck with.
@@dirtydieselcustom oh okay that you for clearing that up for me, so basically you need the support package of any sort to have tunes loaded to your ez lynk and without a support pack you can’t load any tunes at all?
Hello I had a question about tuning platforms. I have an 18 Ram tuned with mm3 right now is it worth swapping over to EZLynk? Looking at upgrading a turbo and fueling, but I’m having issues finding a tuner for MM3. If you think it’s worth the swap how hard would it be to convert over tuners?
If you've got the MM3 already we can just get you set up with a new set of tunes instead of a whole new tuner. The EZ-Lynk is a great tuner with a lot of features that we can certainly get for you, and it'll just overwrite the tunes that are the truck with no issues. But if you already enjoy the MM3 there's no sense ditching a tuner you already like and we can get you some new tunes to match that turbo! I tried installing a TCM tune today on my 2011 Duramax with EZ-Lynk but it failed and now in have no communication with the TCM and have the U0101 code. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Can you restart and try to flash it back to stock? We try not to sell 11-16 Duramax's TCM tuning because they often have issues. If you can try to flash it again, at the end when it tells you to turn the key off, wait at least 30-40 seconds when it tells you that before actually turning the key off. This has sometimes helped the 11-16 TCM's take tunes. If none of that works and you cannot get communication, you likely need a TCM controller.
