I have EZ Link (non-SOTF) on mine (2021) and love it. GDP wrote my tunes and has been awesome to work with. I will say, I HIGHLY recommend getting trans tunes with it. Once deleted mine shifted super early and was kinda erratic. Trans tune got it back to good. This is a great setup for 5th gens!
@@EnduroTrails71 hopefully I explained that well enough. You would just install the file that included the Trans tune in it. One flash, tunes the ecm and Trans.
Great video, I wish I had it when I tuned/deleted my 2021 RAM 2500. Basically the same exact setup as you. It's been a couple of years and it's still running great, no issues at all. I upgraded my tires to 35s and I'm still getting a constant 19mpg city/highway. The only other upgrade I did was the Banks Air Intake.
Hey Kyle thanks for all the great videos. I did the 4 " delete pipe w/muffler. Sounds great and runs smooth. I used the EZ-LYNK tuner ans SOTF switch. Hope to do the EGR this weekend. I agree with Gofher7 on the plugs. That was the hardest part I believe. Spray lubing the rubber hangers was a great tip. So here is a tip for you. When pulling the SOFT wire through the throttle cable grommet, spray a little lube on it. Mine slid through effortlessly. The Diesel Dudes were great through the whole process. Thanks Again!
I Did DPF delete on my 2019 Ram today. Used your video for reference and found it helpful, though those damn plugs and their locking method always tries my patience. I did use Diesel Dudes kit, with the muffler add on and I am pleasantly surprised on the noise from the exhaust. When I looked at the optional muffler it concerned me... it looks like an insulated straight pipe, but it does the job. Truck has a mild rumble. Sounds a little more throaty than stock (of course) but nothing objectionable. My straight pipe and smoke days are far behind me. Time will tell on the tune. They promised a fuel mileage increase, but I will have to see that to believe it. I deleted my 2014 Ram and saw no difference. My sole reason for the delete was because of the constant emisions trouble I was having. Truck throwing a DPF full code, see dealer every 400 miles or so. I was just tired of dealing with the issues. Will miss the lack of diesel exhaust smell, but I will learn to deal with it. I've driven diesel trucks for 25 years Thanks for your content Dark Iron!
I finally made the leap. I took off my exhaust yesterday to try and clean out the DPF. Broke the bolt on the exhaust pressure tube connected to the DPF, couldn’t get the sensors off, and it was a nightmare getting off. Truck sounds too good without an exhaust to clog it back up.
You said make sure there were not any codes prior to installing the tune. However, I saw where you said the tuner can clear the codes also. So can it clear the def see dealer code during then, or does it have to be clear prior?
Happy thanksgiving sir, hope you had a good day diezelllllllllllll be expensive o’l son lol almost Mac and cheese status lol but awesome video as always buddy
I put auto agent 3 on my truck with SOTF right now I have it on 3. What would it hurt to leave it on 5 all the time. I never stomp it to the floor. I just want it there just incase I need to and it’s already done the learning process
Hi, I’m new on diesel trucks I have a 2020 Ram 6.7 Cummins and I want to install the EZ Link but I wanna keep with everything on it ( None deleted) what do you recommend to me and also I want to do the Transmission tuning. Thanks
I have a 2021 ram 6.7 high output aisin trans and I ordered the 5 position sotf and it did not come with that grey adapter to go into the cam shaft position sensor. It just came with a splice kit. They want me to cut up my wiring hardness ? Wouldn’t it be the same as a 2020 6.7
So I was sent this same CSP5 for my 2018. But from your 2013-2018 video, you show a switch integrated into the obdII plug. My switch doesn't do anything at all. Do you think I was sent the wrong switch by mistake or should it still work?
Would you say a 10 amp battery charger is a must, or would 8 or 15 amp work? My charger has 2/8/15 amps settings, but I keep hearing 10 amp when it comes to flashing so I'm curious how critical this is. Watching vids and reading install sheets for this weekends project 🙂
Did you have any trouble linking up with the mechanic technician through email when you first attempted to do so? If there is a solution or a glitch, I would appreciate someone informing me because it is not being recognized.
@@darkirondiesel Yeah I emailed them and they basically told me to screw off and that the bypass cable you used in this video isn't included and that it's sold separately. IDK either way I got one on the way
I need to make a trip, 400 miles after de-tune. I won't have my detuner in hand yet. Can I reset the DEF code each time it gets close to creep mode? And get another 175 miles? And if I drive like grandma will I not hurt the engine? 6.7L 2017 ram 2500. Thanks.
the by pass cable that also plugs into the obd 2 port what exactly is that called because i ordered the full delete bundle and i didn't get the same thing you have in the video and will that bypass cable work with the ezlynk auto agent i already have ? because they sent me the bypass cable where i have to unplug 2 wires from the obd2 port i mean it shouldn't be hard but i rather do it the way you did seemed a lot easier honestly
Might have just not had any stock, but if you go to my channel and recent videos look at the video “how to tune a 2013-2018 Cummins” I use that bypass cable you have in that video
@@darkirondiesel yea, most people I talk to tell me I’m crazy for wanting to delete it already but they wouldn’t sell me a warranty so screw it!! Appreciate the response 👍🏽
Yes, on the off chance that something doesn’t go well with the tune or it doesn’t work it’s much better having the truck completely stock then completely deleted.
Hello, maybe you can help me solve a problem in my Truck after I did the delet, every time I try to accelerate suddenly the electric stability control turns on, it is a 2500 2022

Yes trans tuning is a must for the 68rfe. I got the trans tuning with this one I just forgot to talk about it 🙄
@@darkirondiesel I agree it's a must. Mine is also 68RFE. Always enjoy your vids, great info!
Are the trans tunes installed with the ez link the same way? Thanks
@@EnduroTrails71 they are separate tune files. The description will say with 68RFE 170psi etc along with the engine tune..
