It's pronounced 'icein' not asin. Im a contractor for them.
All wasted money if you haven't deleted the hydraulic lifters.
That ccv delete is SICK AF
Would 3rd gear lock up on a stock transmission break the input shaft? I’ve seen some people online say it could. I just deleted my truck with tunes from the diesel dudes and everything is great except when I give it some heavy throttle I get some shift flare. Got about 500 miles on the truck after the relearn. Does not shift flare under normal driving just when I’m heavy on the throttle.
We have seen 3rd gear lockups cause input shaft issues which is why our standard tuning uses a 4th gear instead of 3rd. Some people choose to risk it but if you're worried I'd go with a 4th gear lockup tune.
The truck your describing with all that perfect is 20k-$25,000
Been tuning since 85 when I got my ole Chevelle. 😎 Edit: If I never jet another carburetor again it will be to soon!😂
But Carbed motors smell soooo good! 😍. For me it's the equivalent to the nostalgia of 2 stroke bikes !🤤
@Dj.Ray.Von. This guy gets it! I love the smell of both! My daily driver is an 80 Chevy. It definitely has a unique gas/oil smell. 😎
Is your tuning only available for purchase in Canada? Looking to get some tuning in Maine for a deleted 6.7 Cummins
We can ship all tunes and tuners to the states no problem!
What is the scanner that he used in the video
SCT X4 Scanner/Tuner
where can we buy this 2nd Gen Swap
You can buy it on our website: DirtyDieselcustoms.com Cheers
If you're going to spend a bunch of money on these trucks and you know weak point is transmission... why not get a better one built from ATS with 500k warranty. Then spend whatever on motor and other upgrades.
That's exactly what most people do. This red truck ran the stock transmission for a few years but eventually it started to slip, so he got new clutches, input shafts and other upgrades and the truck has been able to make over 750rwhp since this video! Cheers

What happens if your truck already had its cp4 replaced under warranty do they give you a better one mine was done on my truck around 75k before I owned it 2013 model
If you have the upgraded CP4 you are more protected from the failures, but it can still happen, so if you want to be extra safe we'd just go with the Exenergy system saver for peace of mind.
What tune would be good for a 2014 3500 daily that towing 14k 35% of the time on the 68rfe?
Standard transmission tuning would be good for you, it'll give you better shift points and higher line pressure to help reliability.
Thanks for the tips, I'm not buying, just having fun looking but this video gave me all kinds of tips for maintenance items to look at on my 2nd gen.
Do you guys ship to the united states ?
I know for a fact not exhaust. I already had an EFI live autocal but they sent me tunes so they did do business with me. This is the FAQ from their website about that question: " Yes, but there are limitations. Unfortunately, we cannot ship Exhaust or EGR components to the United States anymore due to EPA regulations. However, we can still send tuning and anything else you may be after."
@@bucketheadrox I was looking at buying the 2nd gen swap for my 19 cummins and didn't know if they shipped to the US
We can ship the 2nd gen kit to the states no problem! It's only some of our other parts that we can't ship. Cheers
@@dirtydieselcustom good to know thanks for the info
Thank you. Much appreciated!
ANOTHER USELESS VIDEO THAT DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE FILES
This video was not designed to explain the files, on our article we break down file name meaning here: www.dirtydieselcustom.ca/blogs/universal/how-to-tune-your-truck-with-a-ez-lynk-auto-agent
what did it dyno or dragy?
what did it dyno at? or run it on a dragy?
Waste if time
Where are you in Sask? Some of us Canadian boys might get you to do some work.
We're over in Kelowna BC, although a few of us are from Sask so we all love the Prairies too!
I’m looking for a 2007 Dodge RAM 3500 g56
I have a 4 position SOTF with an auto agent 2, I use my SOTF for my HP but the tuner I went to installed a SOTF tune that doesn’t include TCM tuning. Can I just add the TCM tune through the auto agent without messing up my SOTF switch? Will switching tunes through the SOTF remove my TCM tuning? I don’t know how these things work.
What type of truck are you tuning? If you have a Dodge their TCM + ECM files are all in one, so you just need to select a file with both TCM and ECM tuning on it and it'll then keep both functions working. If you have a Powerstroke then you can add a TCM file to your controller and it'll run no problem, the SOTF won't affect the TCM tuning and vice versa.
@@dirtydieselcustom I’m running an LML Duramax, separate ECM+TCM I believe.
Could you do a video on retuning a cummins that already has efi live with a autocal . Had a tuning corruption on mine n been a absolute nightmare trying to retune all cause batteries died and corrupted the tunes on it 🙏
It won't be any different tuning an already-tuned truck. You should be fine if you recharge the battery and keep a maintainer on it through the next tuning attempt. Low battery voltage is the most common issue we see with tune failures.
Super helpful video! Just curious on if the broken cranks are from the trucks being tuned way past stock power or if stock lmls are breaking cranks aswell?
We have seen it more on tuned trucks for sure, incorrect timing on the fuel injectors can over-stress the crank. We sometimes see it on stock trucks too but it is less common than tuned trucks. Cheers
Just got an 07 has 250000 but should last another 250
how much does a set up like this cost please let me know thats includind all down pipe and also the engine valve covers
Kinda sad there was zero follow up to such a fantastic hype video😢
After installing a SOTF can I switch the power setting to a desired HP tune and then remove the switch? Will it stay on that tune?
No, it won't stay on that tune. It will default to the stock file setting. There should be separate tune files on your tuner to allow you to tune individually vs. all tune files.
I was hoping for the 6.7 f250 vid.
They are great trucks... Just be ready for a $10,000 repair...Thanks for talking me out of a LML.
CP.3 conversion eliminates all the worries of that. Also, if you’re lucky and live in an area where you can delete emissions without any fines then it’s basically a solid motor. Only things left to maintain would be your DEF system. But unless you live in a place with freezing temps you have little to worry about. I live in hawaii, bought an LML Chevy from a friend and converted to CP.3 ASAP. It’s been a reliable since then, plan to do the emission delete soon since Hawaii doesn’t have emission BS. Even without the delete tho i haven’t had any problems with the DEF system yet. The warm climate here probably helps
@@_N4VE_ I passed on the 2015 and bought a 2019. Replacing the CP4 to a CP3 is over my head. I'm no diesel mechanic so I'm hoping the L5P holds up.
@@Christafa-ss3lu I hear a lot of good things about the L5P so you should be alright. A lot of my friends have a one and love it and tell me that deleting emissions on those motors makes it even more efficient! If you live in an area without strict emissions laws i’d highly recommend finding a shop willing to delete!
@@_N4VE_ I hope it works out. Ive been told it can be done. But the expense is concerning.
@@Christafa-ss3lu yah deletes will cost you a good chunk, basically paying for the labor and installing the new exhaust pipes and a retune. Based on the shop prices vary. Well worth it for longevity and reliability tho! MPG even goes up based on your tune
So I bought this kit for my 2018 l5p, I bought the full delete kit for $5100, hp is saying I need 12 credits for the full delete , but only sent me 8 credits, I don’t understand, I also don’t understand how to get ahold them so they can send me the tunes to download onto the tuner , someone pls help!
Hey, if it was ordered through us reach out to me at Devlin@dirtydieselcustoms.com and I'll look into what is happening!
You guys do great work and that piece is a thing of Beauty sir
Damn. I already gutted a filter and aent a 5/8 hose down to the chassis.
Only complaint I have about the trans tuning is how it holds gears no matter what to 2000 rpm. I did go back to stock tune and fml it shifts like 💩, you don't realize how bad the stock tune actually is until you go back to stock.
You should do an lmm guide
Local guy installed this setup on my 15 ram 3500 with five pre set tunes and it has a knob 1-5 to select. It’s been 48,000 miles and about 3 years no issues great results. I can’t connect to or change anything but he did reset my tire size to 35” wen he did it. Turned on my exhaust break so I don’t need to remember and set the def indicator system To always good.
How do you know if you have a lift kit? Mine seem a little high than normal but know if it has a lift kit. Thanks in advance!
I’ll give a testimonial to my man Spencer. I was tuning my 21 F-250 with the AMDP programmer and for some reason the programmer could not identify the ECU to pull the serial number. I called Dirty Diesel and got transferred to Spencer. Spencer got into my laptop with Team Viewer and was able to solve the issue himself. Then when I try to install the tune from AMDP, the tune won’t flash into the ECM and thank god Spencer was there again. Walked me through the entire process. Truck sounds bitchin and runs great so far. You Canadian boys are keeping diesels alive in America. Thank you DDC and Spencer.
You are doctor 6.0 I really appreciate all your video 😎✌️
That catch can is a really good idea. Especially utilizing the old system some.
Where to find someone to tune?
We have it on our website DirtyDieselCustoms.ca
Are you going to do a LMM buyers guide?
We should have one soon, I'm doing research at the moment. Cheers
I’m a Cummins guy I have a 04, 07, 12, & 16’ year model trucks I’m considering a 14 6.7 I just worry about the cp4 issue
Senior master tech here… the CP4 problem (in my experience) is blown out of proportion. Use fuel additive and change your fuel filters every other oil change, and you will not see problems.
Wow, excellent video. He is my question. I have EFI/live. Currently no switch. Are you telling me I can add a switch just like the video? Next question, can you CTS 2 monitor plug in and work also?
You'd have to get a tune that is compatible with SOTF setups, and then you could add the switch. A regular tune will not interact with the switch. The CTS3 will work when plugged into the new OBD2 port and will work normally.
How will I no the sotf switch is working? By idle can you hear it? Or by driving it looking at the fuel mileage by eating the cruise on the highway at 60mph. How do you test urs? Thanks
@@coreyadams4646 To test it out you would have it in position 1, and then go near or full throttle and change the position. The switch changes the high load fueling so it's not really noticeable when at low throttle positions.
Muck appreciated, I'll give it a try. Thanks
Should i even consider a 380k mile 2014 truck, tomorrow i will be looking at an f250 being sold that its said to have 380k but truck looks well cared for on photos price is very cheap
That is quite a few miles so it's hard to say, we've seen these trucks with good maintenance last over 500 but you're going to see things like wheel bearings, bushings and general suspension components needing to be replaced even if the engine and transmission is solid. If the truck is well maintained when you go look at it, then it could be a good unit for you but just be sure to check it out thoroughly.
I just got a Banks monster ram. And ram extend the turbo actuator warranty.
Trying to find a new truck I don’t even want one anymore
PPEI and calibrated power offer as69rc tcm tuning, been running calibrateds for the last month with good results
That's true! We're excited that tuning has become available, once we've got some seat time and can try out a few trucks we might make a new video discussing the Aisin options. Cheers and thanks for the comment!
