Remember: The original N64 controller could have many different things in the Controller Pak slot (CPak, Rumble, Bio, Mic, Transfer Pak, etc), which is probably why Rumble wasn’t working with BlueRetro. Because BlueRetro is not intended for original controllers you have to tell it whether you want to simulate a Controller Pak or Rumble Pak. N64 games will often ask you to switch so you have to connect to the BlueRetro with a browser when you want to change it. If that seems to be a chore, most (all?) Controller Pak games will let you save to a pak in any other controller port so you can leave players 1, 2, and 3 set to Rumble with a Controller Pak in slot 4 so that you will only need to change it when four players all want Rumble. Well, there are early titles like Blast Corps and Killer Instinct Gold that don’t like the Rumble Pak and throw errors/lock up so it’s not a silver bullet. Still a good default. I’m pretty sure this is why you didn’t have Rumble Pak working. Also, if you are going to play Super Mario 64 and let your screen stretch it to 16:9 widescreen, at least run the widescreen hack instead! ;)
They must have had a revision to their boards...at least aesthetically. I just received another one and the L/R and Z are no longer connected using these "ribbon-style" connections. Now 8BitDo instead simply use wires. It's more flimsy and possibly more fragile but there won't be any "pinching" going on which is good as it can be tricky to re-assemble in that manner. And maybe it's just me...but it's possible the stick (both my sticks are OEM and not the Hal Effect stick) is more accurate and "smoother" than my first Mod Kit.
I've been waiting for this video. Very cool stuff. The re-pairing on real hardware is annoying but I love that it'll work on the mister. I got one of these day1 but have yet to install it. Mainly because I just wanted to have it in case I needed it instead of planning to use it.
it can be perceived as less sensitive because the original stick is taller, so its a similar experience when you use a taller stick on a modern controller for shooters
Hello, bro! I love your contents; it's excellent, in-depth as always! Could you please recommend a controller that will last a long time and perform excellently? I mostly play competitive games like Apex Legends and Warzone. Thanks!
How long did it take them to ship the kit?. I know it takes up to one month to arrive but when did they sent you an e-mail telling you your orders was shipped?. Because I bought 2 sticks and it's been 48 hours and no e-mail so far. I'm a bit worried.
worth noting that the rumble on this this does NOT work on anything except switch online N64 and 8bitdo refuses to update the firmware to add rumble support outside NSO

Nice overview. I've heard the new analog stick is too sensitive, do you see any issues like that?
it can be perceived as less sensitive because the original stick is taller, so its a similar experience when you use a taller stick on a modern controller for shooters

Go with Flydigi Vader 3 Pro, check my review on my videos
Would this work with a generic 3rd party N64 controller?

Hey I was wondering why your refurbed original stick is missalaigned and how to fix it ?
Probably because the controller itself is damaged on the shell, only way to fix it is getting a brand new shell with a better stick gate
what should i get if i want to N64 on PC?
Before I buy does this work on PC wired via USB? I don't have bluetooth & prefer hard wired anyway.
Yes but only in D-Input mode
you'll need to use a dinput to xinput software if you want to use it with games that don't support dinput
@@VKsChannel thanks
@@VKsChannel Is there any chance you could like quick guide me getting that software? I would appreciate.
Does it work on MacBook or iPhone?

Not true, it works just fine on PC if used in Switch mode.
Annoying that it doesn't work with D-input though.
10:01 could you test the controller on IOS devices? I cant get mine to work at all, even that it does connect by Bluetooth to my iPhone =(
I don't have an iphone to test
Sorry
@@VKsChannel No problem bro. Thank you for replying.
