Handles the mud great and handled flooded roads even better

My biggest cons I wish I would have gone with the xlt for. The fold down cup holders in the back seats. The two wall outlet ports in the bed and back seat section. The xlt interior color combo is siiick. And lastly I wish I would have gotten the adaptive cruise control/lane centering. Other than that I’m loving my xL hybrid. It’s just missing a few key things

I would have to agree! Those are great features that would be more of a Compelte package. Still loving my xl though 🙌

I put a lift on my awd xlt maverick and have put way more than payload in it and it handled beautifully

Love to hear that! Certainly a capable little truck!

I went with the fully-loaded Lariat with sunroof, FX4 / front rescue hooks & tow package.
It's debatable whether it's worth as much more as i paid over XL, but it does feel like a complete modern truck without anything really missing.
It can basically drive itself and has all the creature comforts for long drives and safety features that could save lives. The ActiveX faux leather seats are great to just be able to wipe down and look like new instead of cloth that accumulate all that adventure dirt deep within.

sounds like a great rig! As long as you're happy with it, thats all that matters!

The XL now come available with the 4K tow package that gives you a higher axle ratio, larger radiator, transmission oil cooler, a receiver hitch, brake controller and 4/7 prong trailer plug.

That's incredible! When the day comes I decide to invest in a larger boat etc, I'll be sure to get my hands on that! Thanks for the update Mel! Love the Maverick platform so far! 33k miles and going strong.

Good review of the Ford Maverick truck. I have had my Maverick XLT Hybrid for about two months now, after having to wait over 600 days (ordered in 2021 and reordered in 2022). My combined MPG is 49.3 which is way better than expected. So far so good in terms of reliability, but way too early too make a declarative statement in that regard. Thanks for posting your video.

That’s unfortunate you had to wait so long! But wow incredible mpg. I’m curious to see how well the hybrids hold up long term as well. Keep me updated and thanks for the comment Randall!

similar story to me, got assed out of 2021 and then ordered again in 2022. Waited 18 months total. Just got mine in April 2023. I was happy Ford honored my original price and gave me rebate of the higher price they charged in 2022. How do you get 49.3 MPG. I am at 42.3 combined.

I was a bit confused about the 80% of your landscaping materials -- did you mean that there was only enough room in the bed to fit 80% of the materials? Or did you not buy enough the first trip and ended up going back for more? (totally understandable). I mean, you could have thrown at least 4 bags of mulch in the back seat...

I simply did not plan accordingly and had to buy the rest of the materials after the 1st trip. I could have fit everything in 1 trip had I planned. Also, the home depot where I purchased the supplies was less than a mile away so a short, easy drive in which I didn’t get up faster than 45-50mph.

Mentioning hybrid or eco boost at the beginning of the video would add context

You’re absolutely right! I didn’t mention it until halfway or so through the video. Good catch

the only con i'd add to th is would be simply the lack of body styles. i am a construction worker and a small bed on a truck like that wouldn't work for me. i can't afford new full size trucks so i have to find old ones to get what i need. if ford were to make a body with a single cab/long bed that would definitely sell me on it. i've driven fords more than anything else over the years and tend to like them.

That would definitely be a hit! It’s crazy how expensive most full sized trucks are these days. Appreciate the comment 🤙
