Careful, I was teaching my son how to fish, he was only 3, he cheerfully said “I caught one!” when a big lagoon fish easily flung him away by the fishing line under the water. I saw his little body get flung at a really high speeds through the air, then get wrenched under the water. It’s like if you tied a string to a doll and started helicoptering it above you. I heard his high pitched little “AAAAHHHH” and it was then cut off by a really loud splash, like it SLAMMED him into the water, it was narly. I went home and assumed he’d find his way back but he never did 😔. It was really a bummer and I still have not recovered.

Use the boat for the water there other boats can't reach. I live on Chickamauga Lake where it's pressured to death. It would be so nice to go where the fish rarely if ever see a bait. You can fish out of or on anything that floats. I had a Ranger till fishing became a social sport and crowded then sold it. I kept my old 1985 Lowe duck boat w/ original white Johnson 40 HP. Top speed 32 MPH with two people and a small chop. I've only opened it up to clean it out occasionally. The dealers say "it doesn't hurt one to run it hard". They also sell engines, you decide? Eco mode would be to take the engine slightly over 3/4 throttle then back it down slightly. It doesn't effect the top speed very much and I see no need to run it hard. In 2017 it underwent a tiny boat transformation and became the Super Pickle primarily because of the "attractive" shade of dead grass green it is plus AM Toys released a stuffed pickle with long arms and legs called the Super Pickle in 1985ish. Just so happens to be one onboard ! Along with two 9" Humminbirds w/ 360, and two 12" Garmins w/ Livescope. Not your average 1985 flatbottom but I like it. lol They don't require a mental evaluation to register a boat in Tennessee, obviously...!

Remember me , I’ve got the same Cacci craft you and pops got glad to see you up grading the interior 👍🏼 I’ve started my boat build , I replaced the transom all new wood and fiberglass, I cut out all the seats , I put in a floor that was fiberglassed on both sides before bonding it to the hull bottom , and I used cans of spray foam to fill the void under the floor as part of the flotation system used on the build , I’ve still got to fiberglass the top edges where the floor meets the the outside of the hull , weather hasn’t been in my favor as like you I’m doing this out in the open , ether to much rain or to hot out, I did get my old 15 hp 1977 Johnson outboard redone and it needs to get sanded and painted , I’ve got a lot of work to do yet , but it’s a project , and projects take time , have you been fish bud ? Was hoping to see some more of ya getting the boat on the water, are you going to paint the exterior of the hull ,mine is a dark hunter or forest green , I was going to leave it the same color and do a tan interior, how about you what color 🤔

I'm restoring a similar boat, and it also has a through haul live well. It makes me nervous and have been thinking of just patching the hole. Can you make a video showing how that works? I can't seem to find any videos on it.

Doing my jeyski, took the yellow off, gave it the 1st tan coat. Runs everywhere, alot of brush stroke pattern, of course applied on light so I can do my next layers. Very tough coat than if ya just wanted to use a simple house hold paint. I probably just needed basic paint for the pattern then the polyurethane spray paint to top it off, but this is already included with gloss coat it seems

Handles the mud great and handled flooded roads even better

I put a lift on my awd xlt maverick and have put way more than payload in it and it handled beautifully

Bro I've grown up next to and fishing lake T. and it is by far one of the hardest lakes to break down

I went with the fully-loaded Lariat with sunroof, FX4 / front rescue hooks & tow package. It's debatable whether it's worth as much more as i paid over XL, but it does feel like a complete modern truck without anything really missing. It can basically drive itself and has all the creature comforts for long drives and safety features that could save lives. The ActiveX faux leather seats are great to just be able to wipe down and look like new instead of cloth that accumulate all that adventure dirt deep within.

the only con i'd add to th is would be simply the lack of body styles. i am a construction worker and a small bed on a truck like that wouldn't work for me. i can't afford new full size trucks so i have to find old ones to get what i need. if ford were to make a body with a single cab/long bed that would definitely sell me on it. i've driven fords more than anything else over the years and tend to like them.

I think 5 passengers set sail that day for like 3 hours or so. The weather probably started getting rough, and this tiny ship was tossed. I bet if it wasn't for the courage of the fearless crew this ship surely would of been lost.

Mitch Is that a 'what I ride' Robert August longboard I see on the porch? 😎 Nice build, looking at a Glass boat this weekend, great ideas, I used to shape/make surfboards so working with polyester resin is almost second nature, welding aluminum not so much, so we might jump over to glass for a stronger easier to repair platform even though its heavier. 🌴 Hey Mitch, just giving ya an up date on project nano flats skiff ! “ It was a wonderful day today!” 🎉 I got the registration and title all worked out on the boat& trailer 👍🏼 and I’m getting my 1977 15 hp Johnson refurbished ( fixing all the bad stuff🤣) the little boat should rip with that 15 on it , I can now start redoing the hull configuration and working on the trailer ( it’s been so hot out & rain 😧) , did you paint your skiff yet? Have ya been doing any fishing?

My biggest cons I wish I would have gone with the xlt for. The fold down cup holders in the back seats. The two wall outlet ports in the bed and back seat section. The xlt interior color combo is siiick. And lastly I wish I would have gotten the adaptive cruise control/lane centering. Other than that I’m loving my xL hybrid. It’s just missing a few key things

Or did you not buy enough the first trip and ended up going back for more? (totally understandable). I mean, you could have thrown at least 4 bags of mulch in the back seat...

I’ve got an important question for you , our boats were built before 1972 , which means they didn’t have ( HIN#’s ) Hull identification numbers stamped into the hull when they were made by Cacci craft , ask dad how he got his registration and title numbers at the DMV as I have to do this to register my boat so I can put a motor on it , would appreciate any help 👊🏼👍

Good review of the Ford Maverick truck. I have had my Maverick XLT Hybrid for about two months now, after having to wait over 600 days (ordered in 2021 and reordered in 2022). My combined MPG is 49.3 which is way better than expected. So far so good in terms of reliability, but way too early too make a declarative statement in that regard. Thanks for posting your video.
