    I was diagnosed at 29 and really wish I was diagnosed when I was a kid but it explains why I could never do a pull up in gym class when everyone else could. 😕

      Living with XXY I’m working now with the Massachusetts General Hospital Klinefelter Syndrome Clinic. I lifted in my teens and 20’s but never saw any meaningful results but like MGH tells me XXY patients vary greatly. When I initially looked up the symptoms of Klinefelter Syndrome online the symptoms include less facial hair and body hair. I have no problem growing facial hair or body hair which is a curse. So I’m pretty sure I can’t do a pull up even now but I’m 6’6” so that who would be a long way to go.

    Ryan I have ks and i am so happy that i can relate to your videos. :-)
    I have a bit of belly fat and i understand that it is part of ks. But if i keep going to the gym will it go away or will it always be there?
    You deserve to have 10,000,000 subscribers and likes. Every person with ks should see this channel.

      I can’t say yes or no. I have belly fat too, gym and eating healthy are the way you loose weight.

      Nutrition and exercise are the only way. It does require more effort and for us to work harder but with determination we'll get there.

    I played baseball but had problems with arm strength and coordination and I literally could not do more than bunt the ball. I have little upper body strength, so basically I "hit like a girl." I was a lot better at baskteball because for some reason I didn't have the same coordination problems.

    I have no idea if I have XXY but I have a lot of the symptoms, the small testes, the feminine body fat distribution and gyno, poor coordination, speech problems, adolescent sounding voice (I am 30), bone issues, ADHD and anxiety. I often get mistaken for a woman, which has me questioning my gender identity. But I was tested for Down Syndrome as an infant. Wouldn't the doctors catch the XXY condition in the process?

    • @LivingwithXXY
      @LivingwithXXY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You need a karyotype test. Go to your doctors and tell them you would like to be tested for Klinefelter syndrome which you think you have.

      I was a Chef for almost 10 years of my life and I was a photographer in the action sports industry for awhile. I have had great successes but I also get bored easily if it's not challenging enough. I never let my KS hold me back ever. I struggle but everyone struggles.

      Yes it’s a major one for a lot of people we have met with KS. Ryan says creating lists has really helped him. And sticky notes.

      Living with XXY I have KS and have struggled my whole life with it. I have a degree, hold a job, run a small business, and own a house but none of that was easy - just figured that my teachers, parents and ex-wife was right about me and that I’m just lazy about remembering things - whatever that means. I’m divorced now and I’ve learned that lists are the key to my future success.

    • @LivingwithXXY
      @LivingwithXXY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many parents tell us that teachers think their kids are lazy or do not try hard enough. Each person may be different with this but we know that we struggle with day to day things but we also excel in things others struggle with, creativity and working with our Hands are amazing gifts.
