Were u guys able to have kids?. My fiance was told bcuz of this he can't produce kids...we are Christians and don't wanna have kids unnaturally. But this has been a blow for us. Bcuz we really wanna have children...
I now realize you've got to make sure your doctor knows what s/he is talking about. At age 27, I came to the conclusion I must be testosterone deficient, so I saw a doctor about it. She was young and I guess she wasn't totally knowledgable about hormone levels. The results came back that my T levels were at the lower end of the normal range, much like Kelsey. I was kinda relieved and kinda disappointed that I didn't know what the real issue was. I lived with the issue for a further 20 years until I admitted to myself that there was still a problem. At that stage, I had another GP and even she wasn't that knowledgable about issues with T. Thankfully she got some advice from another doctor at the practice who was aware of what the issues might be and some blood tests were taken. The results came back that my TOTAL testosterone level was at the lower end of the normal scale, but that means nothing. There is something called SHBG, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin, that is a lot higher in people with KS. What the SHBG does is binds the testosterone up and renders it useless. Thankfully, the doctor instructed the blood tests to analyze the total testosterone, SHBG and free testosterone. It is the free testosterone that is what your body uses. My SHBG levels were very high and my free testosterone level was very low, so I started a course of testosterone cream. That was a life-changer for me. Much more energy, libido, motivation etc. If you have doubts about what your doctor has told you, get a second opinion. I wish I had much sooner.
I was told at age 10 and I didn’t really know what it met but I started realizing and learning that my legs are longer than others and that my torso is shorter.. as much as I wish there was a surgery to get rid of this sort of thing there isn’t. So thank you for sharing and helping me accept myself for having XXY
Thank you for sharing. I found out at age 46 i had kleinefelter (because my ex wanted kids) now im 55. I dont take anything to raise my testosteron but maybe i should. The last 2 years ive been very depressed and as you say, many times i dont have energy to do anything, when im bored and thats often now i go to sleep alot. I didnt know about depression comes from that, i thought maybe my age, haha. Also true that i care very much for others, more then myself.
I am 28 years old and experiencing a lot of the issues being described here. I have already been diagnosed with low T and have started Natesto (nasal testosterone gel), but I haven’t noticed much effect. I am seeing an endocrinologist soon and will be requesting an test for KS. The last couple years have been super hard for me as I’ve been struggling deeply with anxiety and depression. I’m a bit scared.
I am XXY, non-Klinefelter's, AIS and other things. I am relatively small for a male (5'7"). We had two natural Children and adopted one. After seeing some Doctor's reports, I question if I was actually the father of my son and daughter. Psychologists got me to take Celexa and Wellbutrin in heavy doses and talked me into living as a woman. (A huge mistake) Post surgical going back to living as a man is impractical. What a mess.
Hi my names taylor!. I'm 27 and I'm engaged to my man who's 26 named connor. Who just found out recently that he has this condition. And I'm trying to learn the most I can about it and how it can be helped. This is a very big shock to us both bcuz we both wanted children. And being told that we most likely cannot is a harsh hit of reality. Ik in most relationships that's a major part but if it cant happen it's ok with me somewhat as long as we are happy. Now my man he does have the enlarged breasts, belly and hips. Extreme tiredness and small testies. I just wanna know other people's experiences with this syndrome and if they are similar?. Or does it very between person to person?. What's the best form of treatment to take the gel testosterone? Or the injection?. Ik he does not like needles whatsoever but which is best to do?. His results were in the mid to low 200s and the doc said he should be in the 4 to 5oos. Big gap there for sure. But if anyone could give advise I'd be grateful as well as he would be too. This is a hard time for us both and I've been very patient and understanding to him as his goes thru this tough time understanding himself. Please let me know your experiences and if you know any tips for him to do thanks!.
I was diagnosed at age 15 with KS 47XXY. I am 6’6” or 198cms tall. I was diagnosed as I developed breasts at the age of 10 and by age 15 and after years of being teased about my man boobs I finally found a great doctor that did some tests and they found out I had KS. I had surgery not long after and had a double mastectomy and started testosterone treatment. The teasing stopped and I came out of my shell as I was very introverted. My operation changed my life and my confidence and knowing what I had was also not a rare event with 1 in 600 boys getting KS. I am now 48 and have been on testosterone (Testogel) for 32 years now. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 3 years ago and While it is hard to explain to people, I have quite considerable memory issues. If I don’t write things down, I forget within a few days. This is not age memory loss, it is KS related and age I am guessing. I find it hard to concentrate and to get motivated all the time. I am smart and have a very high IQ. I am a Senior Manager earning a significant income and certainly my Ks has not affected my ability to get somewhere in life but it has been challenging. Visually I am not good with graphs and I found algebra and mathematics very confusing due to my KS. As I get older I note more changes. I have Autistic traits and find it hard sometimes to ‘read the room’ or get jokes around me and my memory is terrible in some areas. I get terrible mood swings if my testosterone levels are out of whack. I have good bone density but worry about that as I get older. But these are the great things I accept with my KS. I am tall, makes everything easy to find and I feel safe when walking around by myself. I have soft skin and at age 48 have very few wrinkles like my friends of the same age. I have beautiful nails and hands from my KS with my extra female Chromosome. Lastly, when I was younger the teasing about my breasts was horrendous. I often thought of just finishing myself off and to be done with it as frankly kids are shitheads when you are different from the norm. But I persevered and once diagnosed I was able to take control of my life and health. I accept who I am and what I have and feel grateful that they are many others out there with issues way worse than mine. I live in Australia and I feel very sorry for Americans who suffer from this condition and require testosterone treatment. Here we are subsidised and I pay only $40 per month (AUD) for 60 satchels of testogel 5mg that come in a box of 30. It is covered by the PBS scheme affordable medication for all. My yearly cost is sub $500.
How did you get that tall if you started treatment at young age, I have a similar condition because of pituitary gland problems and am not that tall,I thought that bones stopped growing after reaching puberty
What should I do, I have been to multiple doctors because I have many physical klinefelter features but they just did nothing didn’t even examine me or anything I have wide hips, long legs, gynaecomastia, I’m very tall for my age and I have a short torso to leg ratio, I’m 12 btw!
you should go to the doctor and tell them the exact symptoms of klinefelter so they can test you and see. once they do a karyotype or testosterone blood test, then you have to see the numbers or the results for yourself to make sure that its not klinefelter. my personal advice for gyno is to eat healthier-more protein, sleep better, and do activity; this will boost testosterone so the gyno can stop getting larger over the years like mine. also tell the doctor to test for estrogen in the blood, if its too high it could be the reason for gyno, you can take arimidex to lower estrogen and to stop further gyno growth. only way to "reverse" gyno is surgery
It’s nice to hear that you found a way to have kids.
Thank you, Kelsey! It's great to hear other men's stories.

You should try TRT, a lot of what you feel could be because of hormonal imbalance. You can only understand that after you try it.
Hi! İ would ask, if is it possible for small age like a kid 5 years for treatment with testesterone for being like other teenagers? Thank you
Excellent video!🙏♥️

He needs to just self advocate. There is no best option for testosterone. It depends on what he can afford.
@@LivingwithXXY well we don't have alot of money...so we can't afford much of anything. Its all relying on our insurance.

from treatment it is possible to be fertil and increase the organ?
No, not possible
Never mind that you are up in a tree with cows in the background?
They are Pigs and yes we are in a tree!

husssein I got an examination the doctor said I was fine, but I don’t trust him because he thinks eating chicken causes gyno 😂
And he didn’t test me (I live in the UK with free healthcare so I don’t have a choice if they test me or not)
The doctor are probably waiting for your body to stop growing. The torso is the last thing to grow.
