Estelle Bennett “Earthman”

In the 1970s, Estelle Bennet of the Ronettes joined a band called “1984” and recorded 2 songs with them. “Earthman” was the only song Estelle sang lead in and here it is!
Estelle Bennett was part of the Ronettes with cousin Nedra Talley and sister Veronica Bennett ( now known as Ronnie Spector ). They made a huge hit with producer Phil Spector when they were signed to Phillies records. The song was named “Be my baby”. Estelle died in February 11, 2009 and Ronnie Spector joined her earlier this year. Rest in Peace to both of them.
Estelle was also part of an all-female group in 1969 called “The love chain”. You can find a performance of them here in TH-cam.
Estelle had a life of troubles and she suffered with Schizophrenia and Anorexia shortly after the Ronettes broke up. It’s very rare to find photos and recordings from her after the Ronettes.

Wow this is my first time hearing a solo recording by Estelle. She had a great voice I wish Estelle & Nedra could have had solo songs on the Ronettes albums. Don't know if these songs were ever released as singles in the states. I'm just finding them now. What a treat.
I just wish Estelle wouldn't have died in such a sad way. All alone at home and being discovered a few days later. Most likely they had to have her casket closed at the funeral or cremate her. No way a star like her should have died alone. I was heart broken when I read up on Estelle passing. The thought she dated two of the biggest artists on earth and she had such a sad lonely death. It's so not right. My heart just ached at the thought of her laying all aloneý. May God bless her soul always. She is a Shining Star in heaven now. RIP Estelle ❤️

I read she dated George Harrison, Johnny Mathis,and Mick Jagger I believe. That is sad she died,and suffered from mental illness.

I love this song a lot the beat is so good and she is syncing so well with it. I wish she didn't die. Her solo career would've been do great of people would have stopped and listen.

i loved stella whne i was 15. That's nearly 60 years ago and still love her. XOXOXO Don't understand why she ended up in the streets and practicaly had no help. That last husband of her's where the hell was he? Divorced or no he should have helped her and everyone else who knew she needed help. Love you Stella ❤ You know me ❤

i had heard Naked boy .. and in the year 2000.. and the thing she did with another Girl group.. but her voice is so lovely
