- The second war smashed onto our screens bigger and better than before! The introduction of the new house robot Sir Killalot brought shock and awe to the wars. New presenter Craig Charles presents, Johnathon Pearce commentates and Philippa Forrester interviews the teams. The six combatants are Killertron, Technophobic, Orac, Spin Doctor, Schumey and Pain.

I love how every time they show Napalm's victory they show the only attacking move it made in the whole heat lol.
Napalm was eliminated in the 1st semi pinball.

I like how Killertron's S2 Gauntlet run was almost exactly the same as their first! Straight down the middle, up the ramp, then falling off the side and not making it much further than that. Only this time, it was the house robots that stopped them instead of the springs. :P
Shunt and Dead Metal.
I wonder why they removed the brick wall from the middle route of the Gauntlet? I'm not complaining because it was honestly unreasonably hard to get past (a lot of robots simply aren't designed to drive over piles of lumpy bricks) but isn't it rather unfair to those who came before that the obstacle is removed after they're done? As you can see, every robot takes that route without even LOOKING at one of the others- especially after they replaced the flame pit on the right route with that fukhueg spiked pendulum!
Watching Killertron and Shunt standing nose-to-nose smashing each other with their axes (at a stage where Killertron's is arguably more powerful than Shunt's honestly rather pathetic one) is probably the most awesome moment of Robot Wars to this point. Even if they didn't get through the Gauntlet as a result, the audience loved the hell out of it.
Ironic that even after the amateurish 1st Wars, this is the first time a robot has been put in the Gauntlet and has simply refused to move. Even the worst contestant in the first series was at least able to get off the turntable.

and spin doctor is a name for a person who spins actions in a positive and/or negative light for politicians

Always thought orange/red suited Killertron handily.
Ironic that it did better when orange rather than the garish pink (it was pink in series 1 and 4 - not sure if it was in 3)

Orac has win in the Gauntlet and in the trial his weapons are x2 steel spikes and a spinning disc but he has beaten by Killertron

They made a mistake. Killertron did not make it to the Grand Final in the first war. He was knocked out in the heat final by Roadblock.
Killertron was a great Robot, Orange suited it better than Pink. Schumey maybe fast as Schumacher but can't cross a ramp! Orac was cool and Technophobic is such a wicked names I like how the Gauntlet changes a little each episode in 2nd series.

Orac were from Bicester? That's only 18 miles from my home town of Banbury, which is also where Hypno-Disc came from!

I think it means that they were too impatient, and wanted to get it out of the way as fast as possible.
I almost cried when I saw the not pink Killertron.
Orange for colour difference.
Shame. I wish we'd seen more of Pain. Who knows how much that weapon might have influenced the Wars?

I could only imagine how much it must suck to not even start and get a chance to try and win after all the hard work it must have took to get there

@KnuxMaster I think your thinking of the American Spin Doctor. The UK Spin Doctor came about much earlier.
He was invertible with a flywheel as a weapon.

KnuxMaster this is series 2, maybe this was the first version of Spin Doctor, ever considered that?

Bit odd they way they've seeded some competitors in this series.
+Louis Thrift i think in series 1 when you make it to the final of the heat your counted as a grand finalist since they went from the heat to the grand final in ep 6 since they didnt have series semis at the time
