- The second war smashed onto our screens bigger and better than before! The introduction of the new house robot Sir Killalot brought shock and awe to the wars. New presenter Craig Charles presents, Johnathon Pearce commentates and Philippa Forrester interviews the teams. The six combatants are Haardvark, Havoc, Flirty Skirty, Vercingetorix, Tender Caress and Angel Of Death..
LET THE SECOND WARS BEGIN!

Considering how old this is Craig's opening monologue is eerily relevant to today.
Just a little comment from me, i love it that you uploaded the Robot Wars series, its so hard to find. Thanks alot.
Think I started and finished learning how to swim when RW series 2 was aired... it went on for so bloody long.
Circular robots are the worst. How can you spend months building a robot without considering that you won't be able to tell the front from the back?
+Phabel Greene certain later robots like typhoon, the revolutionist (US) and corkscrew had designs on them to tell front from back (notably corkscrew had a large screw on top like a real corkscrew that had a red end and a black end)
The last heat to contest the Gauntlet and Trial, both were such fun to have but change has to happen in everything even if its traditional. Robot Wars main focus was battles so there had be more of it, some robots who were eliminated before the arena in series 1+2 could've done very good in fights...
I hate the gauntlet and trial tbh
Fair enough, we're all different anyway!
That's a capital E not a C. "Romanes Eunt donum." It's a reference to "The Life of Brian," where Brian is writing "Romans go home" in Latin, and then a Roman soldier comes by and corrects his grammar, telling him that it should read "Romanes ite donum." So as you observed, the "Eunt" has been crossed out and replaced with "ite"
This is something that only just occurred to me- why does the show measure speed in imperial (mph) but the measurements in metric (cm/mm)?
Tender Caress makes me wonder if these roboteers ever bother test-driving their bot before they bring it on the show?
The Gauntlet REALLY wasn't a fair event- all Dead Metal had to do was drive itself between the wall and the base of the Sentinel and passing via that route became a literal impossibility. I dunno why so many robots kept trying it.
The whole UK is like that, people still weigh/measure themselves in stone/feet and A is X miles from B. But animals and food are weighed in kilos/grams and an object is Ycm long - just really inconsistent.
Yeah I don't get it ever, the ramp was always the best option to me
6:06 I love how he said that lol
When Dead Metal's saw wasn't working, looks like something went wrong in the controls instead as it hardly moved before cease was called.
@torngentleman2
thats not what you think, its "romanes eunt domus" from monty python.
@ResettisReplicas thank you
Actually, they were from the Isle of Wight
I have to agree with Johnathan Pearce. Tender Caress would've done much better if they went up against the Sentinel.
He meant the Vercingetorix the Gallic leader...not the robot/team
What dose he mean very lucky at the end there. They just immobilized Dead metal. They were unlucky that it got immobilized blocking their way.
@torngentleman2 how did they get away with that :O
@torngentleman2 i think thats an 'E' not a 'C'
@lpool1996moh9 It actually says "Fac ut Gaudeam" which means "Make my day." Part of the phrase wraps around to the side.
what year was this in?
It was in 1998!
@torngentleman2 oh! i saw it too!.
Theyre like "you dont remember the robot named C.U.N.T?"
it says fac u gaul which was france in roman times. this contridicts itself as vercingeterix was from gaul...... weird
Least powerful roster probably in heat L, but still cool
@lpool1996moh9 Actually, careful observation would see it says fac ut gaudem. Now I don't know enough latin to translate that, but I'm pretty sure that means it isn't a crude insult to gaul.
1998
6:46 Bash attacking too early... its unfair
@torngentleman2 fac ut gaudem, not fac u gaul. No awful language on robot wars, just some latin that looks like awful language if you're not observant.
