Thank you for posting this. I always thought that the elevate rack and rail system was going to have some issues with bed covers. It's just everything I've seen online typically points to only the positives and how cool it looks and it works great with most bed covers, etc, etc. If they designed an elevate rack option not using the channels/rails that go inside the bed and used the stake pocket holes (like other manufacturers do) instead, then they might have a better fitting (with bed covers) product, IMO.
Have same system on the way, did you replace the weatherstripping on the X4 to the thinner one that comes with the elevate rail? I noticed this in the elevate rail installation booklet. As if you use the supplied Bak weatherstripping it will be too tight.
I have no weather stripping installed. I hope they have redesigned this and you have a better fit. I think I was the first one to install this setup. Currently it is falling apart. I like this style, but there needs to be some improvements. Hopefully the setup you bought has been revised.
Just installed the elevate rack with my revolver x2 and it has the same issue with the tailgate fitment. Reached out to their customer service and they said "with that combination of products, it will cause the cover to sit up higher than it normally would. There isn’t a correction that can be made to reduce that lift." Seems like a product design oversight to me.
Then would say that your rack is not compatible with the cover. The rails for the cover must be tight against the truck box to allow it to function properly
You have the rails for the bak cover installed over the top of the rails for the rack. This is causing the cover rails to distort inward, causing the binding along the sides and the huge gap,at the tailgate.. My suggestion is to put the bed cover rails on first, and then the rack rails. You can probably overlap the rack rails slightly over the bed rails with no issues.

I do think you may have your cover slightly out of alignment, but as for the tailgate issues, the X4s appears to resolve that.
doesn't look like it with the elevate rack system installed

Ryan, did you get this installed and working correctly as I was looking at pairing the two systems until I came across this video.
@@Tazod41 just got the x4s yesterday, will see this weekend
Thanks for making this, I haven't bought yet but was researching these exact products together

for sure. My cover is not holding up well to the weather either. vinyl is starting to shrink and crack.

Were u able to resolve this issue? Looking at getting the 4xs and wondering if they resolved this issue
Did you ever solve this? I have the same figment issue on my truck.
I was able to adjust the latch mechanism on the cover a little on both sides and that seemed to be enough.

That’s impossible. If I put the rack rails on top the cover would not be able to close.
Remove the rack and it will fit perfectly!!!
