Came across your video. I've been running the Billie Bars w/ a Bakflip Tonneau Cover and I love them. They don't look as nice as the overland racks but they're solid and the customer service with Billie Bars has been very responsive. I would randomly email them on the weekend and I would get a response in minutes. Very satisfied with my bars.
Great video! Hoping this system will fit my Gen4 Taco because it's exactly what I'm looking for. Low profile, but still able to mount the Molle panel for extras. I like the smaller molle panels too as a great alternative to the larger rack systems out there.
Billiebars is the way to go. I got 8 inch tall brackets for my Frontier and it just solid build. I also got 10 inch extensions to put my RTT on. Billbar guys are great to work with.
Thank you for the non biased comparison of the racks. I've been debating on which of those two to get for my truck and didn't know why the Billie Bars were so much more than the Voodoo but now I see why. Looks really great on your truck!
great video. I'm going with Billie Bars for my Roam Adv Vagabond. BB has been great responding to my inquiries. They seem like a solid company. Thanks again
great video. bought a ford ranger that had a cover already on it, didn't want to spend the money on a new cover with T slots. Really wish my ranger had those utility side rails in the bed, that looks really useful.
Great video. I’ve been reading countless pages of Billie vs KB vs Yakima vs Thule. You sold me on the Billie’s + Molle panel. It will be perfect for my Thule Basin RTT. Happy new year!
I love the side panel. I just got a 2020 Tacoma (first truck) and I have been watching a lot of videos of people tricking it out. I installed a tonneau cover and was wondering how it’ll look with a rack on top
So glad I found your channel! I have a Tacoma and looking to do exactly what you have done. Also just bought some Kayaks for fishing so the tips and tricks will help!
Yo im so glad i found your channel. I’ve been looking for so long for the same reason, being able to park with my tent in my garage and still keeping the tannaeu. Thanks man for sharing this.
Awesome video. I actually have mine on a Tundra with a RTT. I’m about to put back lights into the rear bar. Billy bars are great. I’m glad I chose them over any other racks.
howzit brahda would this work for a first gen tacoma with a lo pro bed cover that rolls up the only thing i was wondering about was how i would put the side rails on since i dont have a track in my bed
What brand of tonneau cover do you have? I have ordered Billie bars for 2022 Tundra and looking for a soft tonneau. It seems like almost any soft tonneau should work, what do you think? Thank you
Hello: I just watched your install, Thank you for the video. I am in the same situation and was trying to design my own but this would work. My only question is that in the field (while camping) you will not be able to flip your cover all the way back in order to access the bed fully, nor you will be able to lift your RTT every time. My Tonneau is a roll-up type, so depending on how high the moly panels are may work.
Curious is you still feel Billie Bars is a good option with a Tyger Trifold tonneau? With this video being 3 years old, curious if it’s still the best option.
Your video has been incredibly helpful! Thank you. I have 2 questions... 1.What is the cross bar spread you use with your RTT? I have a Thule Tepui and going to be installing on my Billie bars 2. When using anti-seize is blue locktite ok?
Great video! I stumbled across BillieBars this morning cause I was looking for the exact reason you were. I already have a bed cover that I just got and the only option I was really seeing was what LLOD has, the Diamondback cover with the Front Runner setup. Seeing the BillieBars means I only have to buy them and not spend $2200 on the other setup. Your video is the first one I'm checking out on them and really appreciate everything you said and showed.
Hey bro. Great vids, but the flag in your garage is hung incorrectly. The blue field of stars is always up, and to the left when viewed from the front.
Thanks man, the flag is in front of a window and it’s correct from the outside. ( that’s why I have it that way ) I’m a Veteran so I also know all about how our flag should hang. 👍🏼🇺🇸
I’m ordering the new 6.5 inch height version and want two molle panels. One for maxtrax and the other for high lift jack. Any recs on attachments that’ll fit well to the molle?
@@KayakUSA1 good luck! If you find something that works well let us know :) I’m currently running KBVooDoo premium cage rack system. Works well but super heavy. Just added a bunch of armor to the vehicle so trying to lose weight where I can.
Really informative video! Just purchased a 2021 Tundra and I want to do a overland build. I have been looking between KB Voodoo and Billiebars. This helps me decide which one to buy.
Would be cool to see how those side racks look installed straight vertical, instead of at an angle. Could leave them on when not in use and they wouldn't stick out so much.
Thank you for explaining the weight distribution issue. I'm looking at getting into overlanding and was looking at those bars. I have a cover as you do and want to put a tent also, but I was wondering if the tent plus two people would be too much. Thx again.
@@KayakUSA1 Awesome - I will shoot them a message. They look like they can support most trunk tents as well. Do you have a code if I purchase a set as I found these racks through your video?
Hey this is the best video i have seen on tacoma mods.I just bought a 2021 trd pro and im looking to set up my truck like yours.I just subscribed keep posting great videos and info
Love your video. I was wondering, have you been using those bars for a while? I have a Tundra and i am in need of a low profile bed rack for RTT. Also, i have a Truxedo soft role up cover. Will the billie bar work for me? Thanks.
Awesome review!!! Looks like a cool system. We have a K3500 (Chevy 1 ton 4-door with full bed). Been difficult to find a way to do what you did with the cover and rack system and make it all work without losing the behind-cab storage box. I've used everything from cut lumber to home fabricated metal components to get the custom storage/utility I need. This looks like it's configurable enough (mounted on the tracks) and having those side panels (yes, get another one) to replace all the one-offs I've done 😎
Getting mine next week. Great video 👍👍 can’t wait to see all the you mount to the system. I for sure want a water port, shovel and axe mounted to mine 🤗🤗🤗🤗
yes, this is exactly what I'm looking for just sent the company an email to see if they can make it for my truck. I'm glad I didn't buy the voodoo. glad I do my research
If you read the other comments, flag is over a window so it is hung correctly from outside. Yoz are seeing back side. Dude TJ is a veteran he knows how the flag should hang.
Remove the back bar to fold it up most of the way. Could also get a soft roll up cover to get access without removing bars. I just keep the bars off unless I am using them. Keep brackets on.

I found the billie bars rack earlier today. Found your video review. Now I want it even more!
Would have loved to see you open your Tonneau cover with the bars and tent on it....... maybe you'll have the same experience as me...
I'll be going with the same set up on my 24 TRD except I'll be doing the Retrax tonneau cover.
Except I might go with a little riser..

Hey there so if I don't have no rail on my bed I can still run billiebars? I don't need the rails?
Correct
@@KayakUSA1 thank you. will be ordering a set.

It’s the Gator/Tiger from Amazon, I think I have a video on it.🤙🏼
If want bed access without removing the bars get a soft roll up cover.

Wow those are really nice and good job. Yes anti-sieze is a must also to prevent galvanic corrosion between the steel bolts and aluminum over time.
Awesome... should get another side the same bar.. that will have more place to mount other stuff
Merry Christmas

Are most tri-fold tonneau covers compatible with the billiebar setup?
Looks great! Definitely do it on the other side it looks so good
Thanks for the WHY, I like your reasoning
Really informative video! Just purchased a 2021 Tundra and I want to do a overland build. I have been looking between KB Voodoo and Billiebars. This helps me decide which one to buy.
Super interesting, I think this rack system is very unique. Thanks for the video!
Do you have bed stiffeners installed? Looks like BillieBars had a good option.
Not yet, can’t make myself drill more holes in my bed yet… 😂
thats a sweet hoist. how are the aluminum threads holding up with you taking the bolts in and out? also, i think your flag is backwards.
Would be cool to see how those side racks look installed straight vertical, instead of at an angle. Could leave them on when not in use and they wouldn't stick out so much.
Great detailed video. Any issues with the equipment on the Molle panels hit the side of the bed or damaging the paint?
thanks bud, no issues at all so far 🤙🏼
I have an 10' kayak, would these billie bars work with that? I'd rather have a low profile rack. Great video! Thanks!
How thick is the legs that support the bars. I want to make sure my cover will seal. Can you measure them? Thanks.

Great video, thank you for detailed install, much appreciated.
How do you open the TONNEAU COVER?
Awesome exactly what I was looking for.
Will this rack work with the oem tonneau cover
I don’t think so because the oem cover is under flush. I could be wrong tho. Hit them up on their IG and I’m sure they will let you know . 👍🏼
Question, do you think the side accessory panel that you bought for youre Billie bars would bolt up the kb voodoo brackets?
No, not without making custom brackets.
Just found your video how are they holding up
Nice informative video T.J.. your garage is awesome! I like the Jeep grill hanging on the wall.
Awesome look. I’m glad I didn’t get the voodoo rack. I couldn’t find the Molle panel on the site. Could you provide a link to them? Great video

Great review. Thanks for this.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Have been looking for a rack for my F150 for some time now. I WILL BE LOOKING INTO THESE FOR SURE! Thanks for sharing!
How are winching tent off with Billie bars? If so, how are you connecting?
is that the Tyger tri fold you have on there that works with the billie bar setup? Thanks and enjoy your videos.
Do they fit a 2012GMC sierra Denali?
Check their website, maybe 👍🏼
Hey - love the bars. Do you think this will work with the OEM Tacoma Tonneau Cover. If so I'm going to order them.
I think it should, as long as the plates on the side can fit under the cover to mount to the track. I love these things!
@@KayakUSA1 Awesome - I will shoot them a message. They look like they can support most trunk tents as well. Do you have a code if I purchase a set as I found these racks through your video?
As of right now, they don’t have any codes but I did just speak with them and they told me that the Billie Bars will work with the OEM cover! 🤙🏼
@@KayakUSA1 SWEET - going to order a set once I get my OEM cover installed. I appreciate the follow up
I’m wondering if this would work with the Extang Encore Tonneau Cover.

Why the 5” and not the 8”? Wouldn’t the 8” height give you more clearance with the tri-fold cover?

I was curious about the length of the crossbars. Thanks!
What is the lenght of each billie bar?
Merry Christmas 🎁
Is there a option to mount these with out the factory rail system
I went with KB Voodoo PRO-X bars because they're a little better and less expensive.
Love your video. I was wondering, have you been using those bars for a while? I have a Tundra and i am in need of a low profile bed rack for RTT. Also, i have a Truxedo soft role up cover. Will the billie bar work for me? Thanks.
Thanks, they are the BEST , I will never switch to any other bars.
How are they with shipping? I ordered mine last Friday and i have not seen any notification of shipment. Thanks.
looks like it wider than the bed. would like to view it from the rear of the truck
What tonneau cover is this?
Gator, I’ve got a video on it 👍🏼
On another video you have a tyger cover, which one do you recommend?
What about bed stiffeners. Are they still needed for this set up?
Great video - Billie Bars are a super cool product!
They should make an Awning mount !!!!
would these bars be compatible with a retrax cover?

Getting mine next week. Great video 👍👍 can’t wait to see all the you mount to the system. I for sure want a water port, shovel and axe mounted to mine 🤗🤗🤗🤗
You mentioned that the Billie bars are solid aluminum, which they are not. They are extruded aluminum in a hollow shape.
i'm thinking about buying this and the OVS Nomadic 3 Extended Roof Top Tent .do you think it would work?
Any issues with water or dust getting in? (More than usual lol)
Love the setup!
I think you’re going to like that rack. Looks versatile. I’m using that 80/20 T-slot to build a fridge slide.
Get the second panel just for symmetry’s sake
Lol, I feel ya. I'm a weirdo and I have to have symmetry 😋
Merry Christmas…!!!
Hey TJ
How far off the bed rail to the top are those?
I think around 6 to 10 inches. 👍🏼
When you get a chance can you throw a tape on it and give me a measurement from top of bed rail to top of the cross bars.
Thanks
Rob
