This Elevate Rack System is engineered to work perfectly with tonneau covers such as the Extang Xceed, BAK Revolver, Truxedo Roll- Ups, and other covers that mount inside your truck's bed rails. The rack is also perfect for trucks equipped with a Retrax XR tonneau covers, as it can install directly into the cover's T-Slot rails.
The rack- whether you get the CS or the FS rack it has an adjustable height of 18 or 28 inches. Set at 18 inches, it provides easy access and lower profile look. At 28 inches, it gives you complete cab clearance when it is required for the hauling of larger objects. Do you have a security system to avoid removing nuts? Anybody can remove nuts with drill and racks be stolen.

Works with Bakflip MX4 but does not provide a tight seal at the tailgate. Is not secureable.

Would this work on an F150 with the Gator FX3 tonneau cover? Also are these suitable for a Roof Top Tent?
It looks quality built, but WHY do you have to remove and reinstall bolts when adjusting height of racks, that step should be redesigned and changed to one step tensioning , gets really old for a tradesman/ weekender and multi use, dealbreaker for me
It is already above the cab on the LOWEST setting. And WHY would anyone want to set it super high. This thing was made backwards. People want it to go DOWN, below the cab, and extend up above the cab for use with cargo.
Just finished installing one of these, glad they decided to add a middle height, so now 18/23/28. For my Silverado, 23" is the perfect height, just clears the top of the cab and I can fold my Bakflip all the way to the back window. Only issue I had, was I used the thin seal on my Bakflip, which made re-installing it a little too tight, had to remove the seal(didn't have it in the first place).
Also, another thing to note, since you're setting your Tonneau cover on top of the TS rails, like in my case, the tailgate seal on the Bakflip is not flush anymore, leaves about a 3/16" gap.. :( need to find a way to seal that part..
Yeah, I have that issue also. Used to have a watertight seal, not anymore.

@@gwjones12 I've been seaching for a seal replacement on Amazon, so far have returned 4 seals.. trying to see what fits.. haha!
Today I installed the rack with bakflip. But the rubberseals of the bakflip are to tight. Its not possible to close it. I pealed of the seals of the rails and replace the seals of the rails from the Bakflip by the thin seals but its to tight.
Thinking about getting this on my Tacoma as I currently have the x15 installed. But one question before pulling the trigger. Would it be possible to load Thule XT XL on this?
How would this work with a dealer installed tonneau rollback bed cover without the grooves to install the rack?
Can you put a rooftop tent on this system? If you can which rtts are compatible with it?
That's my plan, the rack is rated to 750lb static, 500lbs hwy, and 250 off road, so any tent under 250 lbs should be good. That said, I wonder if the weight capacity of the rack changes when extended, or if not. I imagine the capacity would be conservative (so extended). Anyhow, most RTT are under 250lbs (mine is around 200), and once we're camping (static), as long as the occupants and tent don't exceed 750lbs combined, you're good.
how would this work with a BAK X4s on a 2018 Tundra Crewmax with Factory Bed Rails?
I'd like to get these racks but with a gator SRX roll-up tonneau cover. Is the installation process the same? Does the gasket need to be replaced with the smaller one? Thanks

I have a BakFlip MX4 and it works great, mine came with 3 height settings, middle height clears it and just sit above my cab(2017 Silverado 1500).

What if my existing bed cover used 4 clamps, totaling 8 clamps. Do I just use the newer Elevate TS rail clamps instead, 3 on each side?
I re-used 2 of my clamps from my bed cover, so 3 clamps per side. I guess I could have used all 8, doesn't hurt to have more :)
@@Islasian4life I ended up just using the bed cover clamps since the teeth fit best with the bed cover rails.

Seems like some people have made the rail system work with the MX4 cover on a Ridgeline, but your website says that it is not compatible. Do you know what modifications need to be made for it to work?
I'm looking to install the rail system with a truxedo lo-pro cover. Another video a salesperson mentioned he cut the rail to fit. Choose the 63" rails and trim them on the band saw. As there's no drilling into the truck, they just have to be shortened. This is what I'll do. You'll probably have to do the same It is really sad that so many manufacturers of truck accessories just completely ignore the Ridgeline. The second generation has been around for 5 years now and there's still such little support for it. In their tiny heads they must just not think it's a good vehicle even though it really is.

Bolts you mentioned for cleats and racks were backwards. Long for the racks short for the cleats. Also bak now makes a t slot rail for there cover so no need for the elevate rail so tonneau can be more flush
Is that on newer covers and has to be part of the tonneau cover kit? If available separate, that would be great.

Unfortunately, we have not tested the Elevate Rack System with any Peragon covers at this time.
Is there a way to make the rack system theft proof? It looks like a thief could remove the system in a few minutes with the right tools. Thanks.
Hey Keith, the rail it mounts to is proprietary and the rack is worthless without something to mount it to.

You can't. This is more of a kayak or ladder rack. Not really an overlanding rack.
If I only knew. The shop that installed my rack system didn’t mention to me about that.. 😢

Would a 28ft ladder fit on this?
If you're installing the Elevate Rack on a Maverick, the load bars will be about 3 1/2 feet apart at max spacing. If you have an extension ladder on top of it, we'd recommend using a cab mounted load bar from a roof rack, like Rhino Rack, Thule, Or Yakima. The cab mounted load bar would work as a cantilever support for the ladder.
How will I know if the elevate racks match the height of the roof rack though? Specifically on a Ford Maverick. Thanks
Would this work well for a couple 8+ surfboards or a 2 person kayak?
Great question! As long as you have enough distance between the front and rear load bars to properly support what's riding on top, you'll be fine. Take the Maverick in the video as an example. This truck has the shortest bed that the Elevate Rack is made for, and the front and rear load bars can be placed to span about 3 1/2 feet. if you place a surf board that's 8 feet long on top, so that about 11/2 feet hangs off the back, then only about 3 feet of board will hang over the cab. With the tandem kayak, I'd recommend using a Kayak carrier on the rack for the best support, but the Elevate would haul it well.

Would this work for hauling a 32’ ladder?
We'd recommend hauling an extension ladder with a rack that extends over the cab. A 32 foot ladder collapses to about 16'3" and the Elevate rack only supports above the bed. That leaves a lot to hang over the cab without support. Hope that helps!
@@Realtruck what about a 28’ ladder that collapse to 14’?
a 32' fits on the truck decent. I recommend a bed rack and one bar on the cab to support a 32'. Even with a cantilever your support is all on the 2 crossbars and that is a lot of torque to put on the rack. I am not sure how this rack will line up with a cab bar. the ladder would probably rest on the rear bed bar and the cab bar and hover over the mid bar. My buddy has this setup with a different rack and it just barely hovers over the middle bar. He is getting 35 mpg with the 32 on there. I am still waiting for my truck, but plan on an adjustable height bed rack with one bar on the cab.
