FAB Automotive Detailing I finally had a chance to apply Ceramic Wax Pro this past weekend after about a month of having it. I used a foam applicator after watching your video. It was as good as advertised. Easy to wipe off even though I probably used too much. And, it smells great. Looking forward to update videos from you on this (and PapaSmurf too).

It was nice of the police to let you finish your video before they hauled you in. :) Up to this point, I have refused to try the original type ceramic products. Mainly because they made me nervous and looked like they were too much work to apply and mistakes could happen. This product here, I definitely am going to get it. Awesome result on the detail..!!! Maybe it's time to grab that Mystery Box from Ethos and hope that I will luck out and get this product in the Mystery Box. If not, I can order it with my next order from Ethos. I want you to how how much your integrity is appreciated, being chosen as the first to demo it, there possibly had to be some anxiety relative to having to give constructive criticism in the event the product had some short commings. Fortunetly #Ethoscarcare again hit it out of the park. Additionally you are very thorough in describing a products and or techniques attributes, I feel only a handful of TH-camrs in the detailing world do well, and this why Ethos and others reach out to you.
Jay Zstr Thanks brother! The owner of Ethos wanted my opinion and didn’t want me to hold anything back. I told him the only issue I had with it was it applies better with a foam pad but other then that I loved it. Ethos came into this industry and meant business. Their products are top notch in my opinion. They have more products coming out that I am not at liberty to discuss but I will be testing them and very excited to try. We do have to go out on a limb with each product release, this was a huge risk for us to go and reformulate our best selling product but I wanted to make sure we had the best performing product available. Very interested in this stuff. The area I live they armor coat the highways basically they put down tar then crushed red rock on top of it. Makes doing a ceramic coating for me a no go because of rock chips and repairs. But this stuff is definitely on my radar. Thanks for the vid FAB!

Hello Camaro Time, this is a great question and tends to pop up alot across the industry. I believe it is not properly understood what a "Cure Time" means as there is alot of misconceptions out there. Plain and simple, all products that form bonds or reactions to the surface have a "Cure Time". This can be anything from a quick detail spray to a ceramic coating. This simply means that once the product is used and applied there is still chemical reactions happening on the surface that for best results of the product, shouldn't be interfered with. This also means that even over wiping a product or wiping with excessive pressure actually could result in less performance or a thinner layer of that product on the surface itself. Most people dont know that silica dioxide reacts with moisture in the air (H20) in order to form covalent bonds and cure to their crystalline structure. The premature introduction of water on the surface via either rainfall, "water tests" etc. can actually quickly accelerate this process leading to potential water spotting or other performance issues as the bonding of the surface hasn't been fully completed. This is often times why Ceramic Coatings tend to have water spotting issues if not properly manufactured as its not until the exposure of water that the full curing takes place. Some companies do market as "immediate Bonding" or "No Cure Time" which really is not ideal, but possible. As a general rule of thumb, usually the higher the actives of the product the longer the cure time necessary. Its just easier for companies to make a safe, easier to use product that can immediately be introduced with water rather than a product with the highest performance possible. Making a Silica Infused product with no "cure time" is relatively easy. Also do note there are major differences between Silica blended products and Ceramic Resins. Most products on the market such as many of these sprays, polishes, waxes etc. are all "Silica" infused and not Ceramic Resin infused, although they're from similar ingredient families the chemical structures of both are very different. Ceramic Resins are the very things you find in real active resin coatings which are usually applied by professional detailers and provide performance and durability way beyond that of any Silica Infused product.

Shine looks awesome kinda the same shine I get from Bead Maker after it cures. Being a new product I know there isn’t any kind of durability test out there if it’s truly a year it will be a game changer but that can be easy to claim without true testing after 6 months and a year. Price point is decent especially compared to Adams ceramic paste wax. I would like to give it a try but I have to many full wax bottles now and I just got my 2nd bottle of GG poly wax as my 1st one is less than 1/2 full.
JM Mustangs Man the Shine was amazing in person! With the Ceramic resins and no SIO2 I think a year isn’t out of the question. It’s definitely worth trying but I understand all to well about having to many products. 😂

How is this compared to CG hydroslick? I know ethos did a video on this themselves but would like to see real time testing such as durability, beading, longevity.
Brian, excellent job! Would you recommend Ethos Ceramic Pro Wax the BEST wax you have ever used? If not, what would you recommend in a ceramic wax, non ceramic coating. Tires will not take tire shine? Have you tried using paint thinner on tires?
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing What kind of real world durability do you expect out of Ethos Pro Ceramic Wax? I have seen other professional detailers use paint thinner on tires before. I detailed a Hyundai, tires were made in Korea, I kept scrubbing them because of the browning, finally I used paint thinner, and it worked. I have heard tires made in China tend have a browning?, but now I know tires made in Korea, also have browning.
"Soft scrub" and a thick bristle brush by hand is best way to clean tires prior to dressing. Also if the tires have white walls or letters, soft scrub will brighten them like nothing else.
barry bij I would say application and removal is a lot better then Adam’s. Adam’s ceramic paste lasts about 5 months and this should last close to a year. I like this product better if that answers tour question. Adam’s is still a good product though.

Anibal Rivera For the best bonding to the clear coat it should be washed, clayed, then atleast a light Polish to exfoliate the paint. You don’t have to do the polish but it will diminish the durability of the wax.
FAB, how does this compare to the Adams paste ceramic wax. I really love the it but it is expensive as you know and if there is a cheaper but equally good I’m all in.
Cory Macumber I think it is better! Adam’s can be hard to remove and streaky. This product is as easy as it can be. I get about 5 months out of Adam’s and this product should give close to a year. Obviously I don’t know that for sure yet since it’s brand new.
Brian p There is no way to compare them because TW doesn’t have a Ceramic Liquid Wax like this. I can tell you this is the best Ceramic Liquid Wax I have used.

@@ethoscarcare ...I just bought the Ethos Ceramic Wax and am planning on buying the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions 3 in 1 Ceramic Detailer to use as a ceramic waterless wash/detail spray. Since both products use different ingredients/technology, are they still compatible to use in conjunction with one another? I have Ceramic Refresh but it doesn't serve the purpose the Turtle Wax product would.
hey brian….john your Indiana neighbor....I have watched pans and jimbos vids on tw hybrid ceramic and IMHO its falling short in the durability factor....seal and shine is still more durable...but does the hybrid ceramic improve gloss???? I respect your opinion, and as brian(apex) has shown products that sig enhance gloss the trade off is durability. do u think this ethos provides better gloss that what u saw at launch????? durability yet to be determined I know...... cant wait to see your new digs(still Indiana??) and "shop" garage....be well my friend john - demotte
john keturoskey Hey John good to see you! I didn’t get to mess with it long enough to know if it improved gloss. We tested the products in the direct hot Arizona sun i was watching for streaking more then gloss. The thing about the Ceramic Spray Coating is 2 coats to get a years worth of protection. Etho’s new ceramic wax definitely improved gloss and should get a years worth of protection. It’s gonna take a while to get the garage the way I want it because I have a lot of plans for it. Hey John, I cant speak for the other products but can speak from a chemistry standpoint. Durability and gloss come from a number of factors but most important is the quantity and type of raw ingredients. Ceramic Wax PRO does not contain any "silica" but instead the much more concentrated Ceramic Resins which I think will surprise people on both gloss and durability.

I am seriously interested. it looks similar to lithium seal n squeal....applies thin like liqx ceramic boost....looking for durability without sacrificing gloss enhancement. what is recommended as maintenance/topper for this

Alexsander Loya The resins need to be able to bond to the clear coat for the durability! I’m sure you can use as a topper but the durability will be diminished.
HutchDesigns I haven’t read that so I can’t speak to it. What I can tell you is the owner of Ethos said it has a really high Ceramic Resin counts like true coating do.
FAB Automotive Detailing awesome. I’ve got a DA and some 5.5 black applicator pads for it. I just got and used turtlewax hybrid solutions coating and WOW. Easy of use is through the roof!!
absolute beautiful and it is a wax you use nothing special liquid . Ethos is t available here am buy chemical guys hydro slick and assume your are very busy in moving so welcome to the new house
I don't think it's even a knock against the product for being finnicky to apply with microfiber.. That is really just a characteristic of wax in general, pretty much any wax will quickly mat and clump up the fibers. They just don't play together that nicely. Oh and respect for hand application.. My lazy ass has not applied wax by hand in a looong time. But to be fair, I'm a coating guy, I rarely use wax professionally or otherwise. 👍👌✌
We have something to prove thats for sure, our product line will surprise many. The technologies we are incorporating throughout are unmatched. As large car care companies grow they seek profit over product quality.

Wipe off is simple and yes it’s a Griots PFM wax towel. I would try to stay away from trim without this or any wax. Thanks for watching

Camaro Time TW Spray Coating has no cure time but the recommend not washing for 24 hours after application. These are 2 different products though.

Hello Camaro Time, this is a great question and tends to pop up alot across the industry. I believe it is not properly understood what a "Cure Time" means as there is alot of misconceptions out there. Plain and simple, all products that form bonds or reactions to the surface have a "Cure Time". This can be anything from a quick detail spray to a ceramic coating. This simply means that once the product is used and applied there is still chemical reactions happening on the surface that for best results of the product, shouldn't be interfered with. This also means that even over wiping a product or wiping with excessive pressure actually could result in less performance or a thinner layer of that product on the surface itself.
Most people dont know that silica dioxide reacts with moisture in the air (H20) in order to form covalent bonds and cure to their crystalline structure. The premature introduction of water on the surface via either rainfall, "water tests" etc. can actually quickly accelerate this process leading to potential water spotting or other performance issues as the bonding of the surface hasn't been fully completed. This is often times why Ceramic Coatings tend to have water spotting issues if not properly manufactured as its not until the exposure of water that the full curing takes place.
Some companies do market as "immediate Bonding" or "No Cure Time" which really is not ideal, but possible. As a general rule of thumb, usually the higher the actives of the product the longer the cure time necessary. Its just easier for companies to make a safe, easier to use product that can immediately be introduced with water rather than a product with the highest performance possible. Making a Silica Infused product with no "cure time" is relatively easy.
Also do note there are major differences between Silica blended products and Ceramic Resins. Most products on the market such as many of these sprays, polishes, waxes etc. are all "Silica" infused and not Ceramic Resin infused, although they're from similar ingredient families the chemical structures of both are very different. Ceramic Resins are the very things you find in real active resin coatings which are usually applied by professional detailers and provide performance and durability way beyond that of any Silica Infused product.

Shine looks awesome kinda the same shine I get from Bead Maker after it cures. Being a new product I know there isn’t any kind of durability test out there if it’s truly a year it will be a game changer but that can be easy to claim without true testing after 6 months and a year. Price point is decent especially compared to Adams ceramic paste wax. I would like to give it a try but I have to many full wax bottles now and I just got my 2nd bottle of GG poly wax as my 1st one is less than 1/2 full.
JM Mustangs Man the Shine was amazing in person! With the Ceramic resins and no SIO2 I think a year isn’t out of the question. It’s definitely worth trying but I understand all to well about having to many products. 😂

@@kevinfitzpatrick2556 yes, Ceramic Resins are what you normally find in actual ceramic coatings. Resins can essentially be seen as super concentrated forms of silica, rather than just silica itself.

Brian, excellent job! Would you recommend Ethos Ceramic Pro Wax the BEST wax you have ever used? If not, what would you recommend in a ceramic wax, non ceramic coating. Tires will not take tire shine? Have you tried using paint thinner on tires?
As far as a ceramic wax yes it’s the best so far. I have not tried paint thinner
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing What kind of real world durability do you expect out of Ethos Pro Ceramic Wax? I have seen other professional detailers use paint thinner on tires before. I detailed a Hyundai, tires were made in Korea, I kept scrubbing them because of the browning, finally I used paint thinner, and it worked. I have heard tires made in China tend have a browning?, but now I know tires made in Korea, also have browning.
"Soft scrub" and a thick bristle brush by hand is best way to clean tires prior to dressing. Also if the tires have white walls or letters, soft scrub will brighten them like nothing else.
How would compare against the adams paste ceramic wax?
barry bij I would say application and removal is a lot better then Adam’s. Adam’s ceramic paste lasts about 5 months and this should last close to a year. I like this product better if that answers tour question. Adam’s is still a good product though.

Anibal Rivera For the best bonding to the clear coat it should be washed, clayed, then atleast a light Polish to exfoliate the paint. You don’t have to do the polish but it will diminish the durability of the wax.

Cory Macumber I think it is better! Adam’s can be hard to remove and streaky. This product is as easy as it can be. I get about 5 months out of Adam’s and this product should give close to a year. Obviously I don’t know that for sure yet since it’s brand new.

Brian p There is no way to compare them because TW doesn’t have a Ceramic Liquid Wax like this. I can tell you this is the best Ceramic Liquid Wax I have used.

Since both products use different ingredients/technology, are they still compatible to use in conjunction with one another? I have Ceramic Refresh but it doesn't serve the purpose the Turtle Wax product would.

hey brian….john your Indiana neighbor....I have watched pans and jimbos vids on tw hybrid ceramic and IMHO its falling short in the durability factor....seal and shine is still more durable...but does the hybrid ceramic improve gloss???? I respect your opinion, and as brian(apex) has shown products that sig enhance gloss the trade off is durability. do u think this ethos provides better gloss that what u saw at launch????? durability yet to be determined I know......

john keturoskey Hey John good to see you! I didn’t get to mess with it long enough to know if it improved gloss. We tested the products in the direct hot Arizona sun i was watching for streaking more then gloss. The thing about the Ceramic Spray Coating is 2 coats to get a years worth of protection. Etho’s new ceramic wax definitely improved gloss and should get a years worth of protection. It’s gonna take a while to get the garage the way I want it because I have a lot of plans for it. Hey John, I cant speak for the other products but can speak from a chemistry standpoint. Durability and gloss come from a number of factors but most important is the quantity and type of raw ingredients. Ceramic Wax PRO does not contain any "silica" but instead the much more concentrated Ceramic Resins which I think will surprise people on both gloss and durability.

I don't think it's even a knock against the product for being finnicky to apply with microfiber.. That is really just a characteristic of wax in general, pretty much any wax will quickly mat and clump up the fibers. They just don't play together that nicely.
Oh and respect for hand application.. My lazy ass has not applied wax by hand in a looong time. But to be fair, I'm a coating guy, I rarely use wax professionally or otherwise. 👍👌✌
