      Yes Adam's came off multiple cars of mine disappointingly fast. I love the ethos so far. I had one layer of Adam's come off after a day of driving actually. So far ethos has done well. I'm going to do it's first wash later tonight with their shampoo and drying aid. The resistance to dirt sticking to my paint is better than any of the other sealants I've tried yet. We have dry sticky dirt. Any carnuba based products and it just is so sticky and annoying. Much better with ethos, and shine is excellent to boot. Smells good and barely need any for my grandsport. I may make a video if it holds up well

    • @th600mike3
      @th600mike3 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      But yes I am picking ethos and sticking with it. It's been the best improvement in finish like you said and resilience so far. I have to drive my vet on a lot of dusty roads and have r888r's on so I kick up a lot of junk. Just yesterday I spilled some water on the hood/fender throwing a bottle into the garage. It beaded up as expected and was completely gone about 30 seconds down the road. So far I like it more than TW spray wax (not seal and shine-I never bought that), more than ammo skin, more than car pro reload, more than ammo creme, collinite 845, Adam's liquid ceramic wax... everything else tends to have more dirt stick to it. I'm keeping their line up and not buying anything else. I've tried a lot looking for the best of all worlds and this already is doing better. I'll use different stuff on wheels to see what holds up and this has been pretty good there too (brakes get hot and cook even plastidip off my wheels)

      How about comparing Ethos to the Adam's ceramic paste wax instead of the liquid? It's supposed to have a higher concentration of SIO2 vs the liquid. Maybe as a bigger battle add TAC Moonlight and Angelwax Enigma to the test? Just a thought.

    Of course I would appreciate the gloss and endurance of this product but I really like the idea of filling minor imperfections in my old and solf clear coat. This could be a great option when spring time arrives as I have already applied Seal and Shine for the coming winter. If anyone has had experience with Ethos and minor swirl marks, I'd like to hear about it. Thank You.

Awesome performance out of Ethos, I'm currently on the hunt to narrow down my top choices for that traditional liquid style protectant, can't wait to see how the Ethos holds up compared to the new Meguiar's HCLW and M27. Hi Brian.
    Great video as usual!!!
    Do you have a “homemade” recipe for an iron remover?
    Thanks as always Brian!!!
    Regards,
    Mark

    • @tonymattisson6158
      @tonymattisson6158 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have an option for a very cheap iron remover. The downside is you don't see it bleed. This was and still is used as an iron remover and also oxidized single stage paint it desolves the oxidized part on LOL. Many with boats uses it to get rid off the water line after the season in the ocean. It's not so magic as it sounds and it does work it's just take a little longer dwell time and you may reapply it so it don't dries on the paint. Stay away from the glass and clear plastic as headlights and the back lights. Apply by spray where you can and the rest with a mf applicator sponge. Wear nitrile gloves and a respirator. It's Oxalic Acid and you can buy it in powder and dilute with water look it up but think it's 1:30 dilution IIRC. Just be safe when you do this and respect it. Have an bleeding iron remover at hand and after you have done a section with the oxalic acid and thoroughly rinsed it off and even washed the section. Spray some iron remover on a small section where you have used it and see if you get any bleeding. If you get it try to aggitate very lightly with a mf applicator sponge or mf towel when it's down to the finished dwell time of 10-15 minutes. Test with different dwell time and the best is to rinse it off very thoroughly with PW or a hose with very good water pressure from it. Think it's Carbrite that has an iron remover based on this that you can buy on Autogeek. Just be carefull to use it. It's in some acidic based wheel cleaners just to get the iron particals and the brake dust desolved. It's a dirt cheap way to remove iron particals with.

Black or darker color car can get very hot during the summer in direct sunlight. I think the heat gun test gives us an idea if that's a weak spot for a particular product given the environment its in. I'm curious if more people agree with me, like and or reply this comment if you agree and or why not.

    The thing that i would like to know, I mean its great you test all these products, i love to watch how they perform etc etc. But i would like to know which is the best product in every catagorie and which product in each catagorie is the cheapest but does what it needs to do? So maybe a rating system you keep and then every 3 months do a video where you present the current to 5 of both in each catagorie. This way we can enjoy the video's and its clear how the products rank?? cos now, I mean if i would need a spray on sealant, i got no clue which one performs best or which one to use on budget, we seen so many that instead of it becoming clear which one to use im more lost :)

Purchased a '23 BMW late November in Arctic blue. I've hand washed it a couple of times and now it's ready for some wax. I'd like to keep it simple and I'm leaning towards ethos Pro for the wax. Ethos line up for protection and maintenance is pretty solid with great user experience and a premium feel but not exuberant prices.

    Neat to see the protection still there after the beading is gone. This new coating wrecker solution is potent stuff. If truely representative of road grime, the Adams ceramic wax is kinda pointless.

    I’ve been very interested in Dr Beasleys stuff. Never tried it, but was wondering your thoughts on their products. I only see your one review of their old sealant.

      Ethos defy is very strong standalone. It is a perfect topper for the liquid wax.
      Anyone know if defy, ceramic wax pro, or both have UVA/UVB protection?

    Quick question! If you top off seal and shine with turtle wax ice spray wax right away will it remove the under layer of seal and shine? I heard sealent needs at least 6-12 hours to be topped off with or else it will remove the under layer. Thanks!

    also looking at other sources like Pan, OG and forensic, im even more lost in the jungle of products. I do like Pan his best products of 2019 awards :) that one is awesome for best products, however its Pan's list, and in his experience these are best. but you use different products, and so does forensic and OG. But its obvious to me you have lots of experience as well, and to me your opinion means something :). So if PAn has a top 3 in best sealants, and you have yours, i can get those and see which of those i prefer and voila, same goes for all other viewers i suppose?

    • @razetw
      @razetw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pan doesn't really showcase bad products so it seems everything is a winner. He cherry picks good products and there's nothing wrong with that. Brian tries it all and no bs tells you how he feels and let's you discuss it out in the comments. More open ended which I like as well.

    All of this is great for choices but getting confusing as what is best for the money and satisfaction. All these products are getting so much better that it might be a major shift away from the professional coating services and maybe that is a good thing.
