These garlic breadsticks are so easy to make and they’re perfect companions to your soup and salad on a cold day (or any day).     INGREDIENTS (coconut and lupin version)
    ----------------------------------------------
    Dry Ingredients:
    100g coconut flour (or lupin flour)
    20g psyllium husk powder
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp Xanthan gum
    1 tsp instant yeast
    1/2 to 1 tsp salt
    A pinch of sweetener (optional)
    Wet ingredients:
    3 tbsp olive oil
    2 cup hot water (You’ll only need 1.5 cup max)
    2 tsp vinegar
    Garlic infused oil:
    3-4 tbsp olive oil
    Finely chopped garlic
    Finely chopped fresh parsley
    Salt
    Ground almonds version
    ---------------------------------------
    Dry Ingredients:
    200g ground almonds (finer almond flour may create firmer texture)
    20g psyllium husk powder
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp Xanthan gum
    1 tsp instant yeast
    1/2 to 1 tsp salt
    A pinch of sweetener (optional)
    Wet ingredients:
    2 tbsp olive oil
    1 cup hot water (You should only need 1 cup but add more if required)
    1 tsp vinegar
    Garlic/herb oil:
    3-4 tbsp olive oil
    Finely chopped garlic
    Finely chopped fresh parsley
    Salt
    INSTRUCTIONS
    ----------------------
    1. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
    2. Add the vinegar in the hot water and stir well. Pour a small amount of the mixture at a time into the dry ingredients, mix/knead thoroughly till it forms a smooth and soft dough. Leave to rest for 40-60mins.
    3. Finely chop garlic and parsley, add in 3-4 tbsp olive oil. Add some salt to season. Mix well. Cover it and leave it aside.
    4. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, aim at around 1cm thickness and shape it into a rectangular shape.
    5. Cut the dough into long stripes and twist each strip into corkscrew shape (or shape them into individual dough balls). Place the stripes on a well-greased baking tray and brush them with plain olive oil.
    6. Bake in a 170C/350F preheated oven for 25-30mins till golden brown. (40-45mins for dough balls
    7. Once baked, while they’re still warm, brush them with a generous layer of the garlic/herb oil. Sprinkle some coarse salt. Enjoy x

    Great recipe. I tried the coconut flour version (my brand had 22g carbs per 100g), and used extra virgin olive oil at all points of your recipe. Opted to automate the garlic-parsley oil step in my electric mini-chopper, whilst hand-kneading the dough. My oven is a bit hotter than yours, and I turned the sticks half-way through - nice, gentle crust achieved! With the fresh garlic and parsley, this was a truly tasty lunch. Might just try one cup of hot water + 1 tsp cider vinegar next time. Thank you!

    I loved this recipe! I made the breadsticks without xanthan gum and except the fact I couldn’t twist them cause they would break (expected), they turned out amazing and I will be making more of these soon. The taste is surprisingly bread-like. Thank you!

    So I just made the breadsticks... very tender, very scrumptious. I made almond flour version as I’m not a fan of coconut flour recipes in general. I taste a sweetness that I don’t like. So in the video it said add oil to dough bowl, but written instructions it didn’t say that, and I forgot. But so delish with garlic,parsley oil.... thank you again.

    I'm not keto, but I do have Celiac's disease, so I eat gluten free, and I'm also vegan. The other day I was in the market (New Haven, CT, USA) and I saw a package of gluten-free vegan bread, just 5 slices, for $5.99!!!! 😭 You are so right about the prices of these so- called "specialty" foods - it's madness!!!

    Love your recipes! Tried making your keto crusty buns! It was awesome with peanut butter 😋 These buns are freezer friendly - just need to heat it up in the oven for 15 minutes whenever I have bread cravings.

    Hi, here in Portugal we eat lupin as a snack with a beer, in a "terrace" but there is a preparation before and we never eat the " skin".

    Hi, it's so true about exploiting ketoers with high price products. A creamer pack could cost as much as 27 dollars for 5oo grams. Ridiculous, to be frank I don't buy them I learn how to put them together and save that way. Good that you have touched on this point. It's disappointing too see the market. Thank you.

    I just bought a 3lb bag at Costco for under $12. And it's the super fine. I bought a membership just for the almond flour. The regular grind at Walmart was the same price for 2lbs. Maybe you can order from Costco.
