    Yeahhh they are fantastic!!! I usually only make half a batch of anything new I try, but this time I'm glad I've made the whole batch! I mixed some Parmesan into the mixture, piped them out, brush them with egg wash and sprinkled with more Parmesan, paprika and sesame seeds. Soooo good I'm making them again for sure! Thanks again for this awesome recipe!

    I love that you do so many coconut flour recipes. I dont care for the almond flour texture in most baked goods.

      I feel the same way. Almond flour is good but you can never quite get rid of the grit texture.

    I bet you could roll 3 “logs” and braid and form a circle…bake ( not sure of temp or time), then serve with a small bowl of marinara sauce in the middle! People could slice and dip… just a presentation idea.

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you probably could do that. I have been thinking about trying to make a keto version of Challah (braided egg bread) but I haven't gotten around to it yet,

    Is there a reason I could not add dried yeast into this recipe to help mimic the flavor of gluten breadsticks?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can use dry yeast to add flavor. I do that sometimes with my bread recipes. It just doesn't help with rising when it comes to coconut flour

    Can gf flour be used in place of coconut flour?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No it can not. Coconut flour is very unique as to how it reacts with liquid. It is VERY absorbent and requires a lot of liquid in the recipes. For this reason it can not be substituted 1 for 1 with any other flour. If you want to try this with another flour you would need to double the amount of flour and most likely do some adjusting on the eggs. No promises on how it would turn out

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sounds like the flour to liquid ratio is a little off for the type of coconut flour you are using. Different brands have different density. This is a sticky dough but if it is too sticky too work with you can try a few things. Allow the dough to sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the moisture, Dampen your hands slightly when forming the dough. If it is still hard to work with add SMALL amounts of flour until you are able to work with it. Also make sure if you are not already weighing your ingredients that if possible use a food scale and weigh your ingredients it can make a huge difference

      You can try to substitute the gum with finely ground flaxseed meal. I have used flaxseed meal and water as a binder many times. Doesn't have quite as much of a sticky texture as xanthan gum but it would be worth a try
