I made the garlic bread this morning. I served it with egg salad. The bread was delicious! It was so quick and easy. I do not have a working microwave oven, so I put the cheeses in a double boiler to melt before adding the dry ingredients and the egg. I did, however, omit the salt. The garlic, butter and parsley topping made my house smell wonderful. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
This was so so good. I recently stared the keto diet and I really was missing bread or another vehicle for sandwich toppings or just something hearty. This was absolutely prefect. easy to make and works well as a garlic bread or a flatbread crust. Thanks so much for the recipe!
Jeepers, some people in the comments here are fussy! If you dont like the sound of the spoon, TURN THE VOLUME OFF!! I'm not keto, but still really looking forward to making this. It looks delish!
Thank you, Karen, for such a fast response. Will bake in the morning. I’m not good with the internet, so, this is easiest way to get back. Best wishes.
I've seen this recipe before by someone else and that's what I was looking for when I found yours. It's very similar so I decided to make it. But you forgot to put, or at least I didn't see, what temperature you baked yours at.
Tried this recipe out. Here's what I learnt: - Bread tasted too salty. (Can afford to leave out the salt since the cheese already has flavour) - Don't flatten the bread dough too much or else it will end up looking like a cookie. Won't be trying this again because it just felt too indulgent for a part of a dinner item (bread replacement). That said, bread finished up pretty quickly at the dining table.
Well if you're on a KETO diet, it's a good thing to have as a bread replacement. And salt is always adjustable. She did mention in the printed out recipe on the other page that it should be about an inch thick when you are baking it.
Trying to bake this bread. Have 2 questions: 1. Do l need to preheat the oven to400F? 2. Can I do it in toaster- oven instead of using big one? Will wait for your response. Thank you.
Yeah I never use a microwave so don't so I had to improvise.* I had all my flours in a metal bowl, with the cheese to melt, so I just stuck it in a countertop toaster oven and melted it until it was easy enough to mix. And I haven't made this in a while but I made it from another person's recipe and when I did that, they didn't use the microwave, so I kind of just knew how it would look and improvised. I baked mine at 375* for 10 minutes.
I made it this morning. I used sour cream instead of cream cheese because that's all I had. It was still fantastic!.
That's good to know. 😊

Thanks for the lovely feedback.
Do you think adding a small amount of a thickening agent like Xantham gum or arrowroot powder would improve this recipe?
Thank you, Karen, for such a fast response. Will bake in the morning. I’m not good with the internet, so, this is easiest way to get back. Best wishes.
Thanks. I hope it turns out well for you.

Go to 3.28 for temperatures and cooking time.
Thanks 😊

Can we substitute cream cheese with sth else?
Somehow missed this comment. The cream cheese helps hold it together but you could omit. It.
Definitely trying this ☺️

Yes I would preheat the oven. It will be fine baked in a toaster oven on a bake setting.
Do you have to add the cheese
Yes you do Miriam. It's what holds the bread together.
So delicious thank you for the recipe
Thanks Camino
I don't have a microwave 😕 any ideas on what I can do
Add all the dough ingredients into a food processor and blitz until it forms a ball then follow recipe as per instructions.
I make this but do not melt cheese...just mix together and pat into greased pan and bake. So much easier.
Great recipe! Thank you!
Thanks for commenting.
It looks so delicious, though I do wonder if the paper might leach some wax or paper molecules into the bread.🤔

Use quality baking paper and it is fine- never use waxed baking paper in an oven- it isn't made for that use.
@@KarenTremainesKetoKitchen okay, thanks!
Can we skip egg??
No t\
The egg is vital to the recipe, sorry.
But how should i melt cheese when i don´t have a microwave? In a pot?

can it be used to make pizza?
You could use it to make pizza
Did you have any success with using this garlic bread recipe for pizza ?
It looks good
Really easy to make as well.
How to prepare on gas stove?
I'm not sure if you can do this. Do you bake pizza or bread on the gas stove. I always use my oven so am not sure.
Any idea what I can do without a microwave?

@@KarenTremainesKetoKitchen Thank you so much. This looks amazing!
Can I substitute cheddar cheese
Mozzarella helps bind it together.
How many servings is this please
Depends on serving size but would serve 6 as a side garlic bread.
Made it and it turned out nice :)
Thanks so much.
No microwave…what about melting the mozzarella first ..then adding…
عاشت الايادي👍👍بس ممكن المقادير بالعربي🥰
Thank you so much maam..
Thanks for commenting.
has anyone tried this with just gluten free flour?
Almond flour tastes bad to me.
It tastes amazing in this recipe.
Oh my god the sound of the fork is absolutely horrible, why not a spatula 🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️ great recipe but made my teeth grind so bad
Thanks Daumi. Making fat head dough needs a strong utensil to mix it and I find a spatula just doesn't make the grade.
🤣 🤣 Have to use a stiff pronged utensil for this.... If you copy the recipe then wear ear muffs 😜 xx
the scraping of the fork against the bowl is killing me.
you forgot the butter and parm cheese, don't add salt ..... sorry boring
